TFB is simply the best and I love this new section of daily news. Boomer Sooner!!

I guess Bob just doesn’t trust the media types, we’ve got girls all over the field now students running wild, concerts, is he rubbing it in someones face or just turning plain soft?
Hard to believe espn has Ford as one of the triplets, I’m very happy about it, just didn’t see them giving him that much respect having been a backup last season.
Thanks again Jordan for gathering all the links and putting them in one spot for us!

OK, I’ll be the one to say it……If the students aren’t going to the games, why would anyone expect them to attend a spring practice? I’d love it if they all showed up, but their recent track record is pretty spotty.

….to be fair it’s not just the OU student body. The student attendance at a lot of schools has become an issue lately.

I agree with your sentiment, the only thing I’ll really counter with is at least it’s something.

When I was a student, which wasn’t too long ago, student attendance at games was not a problem….at least I didn’t notice it being one. We were jammed packed in the seats and get this….everyone stood the whole damn game. Now when I got out of school and went back, it was pathetic watching games outside of the student section. No one stands, no one is loud. It’s sad because the average person can’t afford season tickets (including donation) until they are in their mid-40s, at which point they cease to stand and cheer for the team. I wish they allowed more students to go to the games and only charged $1 per game like they do in Arkansas (even though I hate the Hogs). But, as we all know, the school would lose a lot of money so they would never go for it.

      • lovethemsooners says:

I wonder if the students would still stay away even if the tickets were just $1. I personally would rather see more students at games than regular season ticket holders for the exact reason you state. It can seem like a Sunday afternoon church service inside the stadium at times. Still though, it’s tough to compete these days with all those “70 HD’s I guess.

Glad you decided to “fly your jet” over this way.

        Been running all over lately….
        Thanx for the shout out!
If anyone ever needs a 6’4″ 260 lb fat assbag to make noise at a game, let me know!!!

    • JJ says:

Omg. It’s about time. How have you been? How was key west?

      • Learguy says:

Great as usual. Caught me a shark which was pretty cool. Hows the healing? Took me 2 years after I shattered my femur for the metal to come out, then about another year to have the new normal. That was 30 years ago. It’ll never be right again, but you deal with it. Luckily I didn’t have any elgibilty left to loose!!

        • JJ says:

Lol!! Glad you had a great time. I’ll never be normal or even close. It’s pathetic. I cannot wait to get the screws & plates out. I have actually tiny ankles & it looks like I have golf balls growing up my leg! Only been walking about 3 weeks 🙁
