Those fans in the wrestling video look exactly like the Bama fans at the Sugar Bowl.

    • Gregor says:

      They were.

    • Gary Robbins says:

With all the open mouths-hope there were no flies buzzing around. lol . OU needs a commit at the Spring Game. It blisters me when OSU and Texas(Orange pukes) seem to run up underneath us-(Ronald Jones and Toby Weathersby). Yuck!!!

      • Zack says:

Maybe they’ll start pouring in after the game. And I still wouldn’t count ou out on some guys. When these kids see ou win the big 12 this year and will see texas and OSU miss out on bowl games then they may have a change of heart.

        • Gary Robbins says:

Yep, patience is a virtue. Any thoughts on who will be our next commits?

          • Zack says:

I think we will get a couple maybe this weekend and into the next week. I haven’t seen a list of for sure visitors so it would be tough to guess. The most obvious to me is Barnett though just depends on when he decides to choose. My wish list though would be Humphrey and newsome soon.

      • J.K. Abbott says:

Why? If they want to pick the Horns or Okie State then so be it. I promise you OU will close hard and get 25 kids that want to be a part of one of the greatest traditions in college football and superior coaching.

        • Gary Robbins says:

So true. I’m just too impatient(per my wife). It’s a long time left till February.

          • J.K. Abbott says:

I hear you. I used to panic when OU’s committment numbers always ran low or when kids were committing elsewhere. One natty, what is it now 8 Big XII titles, two heismans, a slew of all Americans and a bunch of Cotton Bowl & Bedlam beat downs later… I kind of sit back, especially if it’s in conference and think that will be a decision you will regret.

        • JB says:

Exactly. Every once in a blue moon oSu actually gets someone over us. It’s rare, but it happens. Right now, the OU backfield is pretty crowded with talent not to mention what’s coming in. oSu needs help, so kid will play right away.
As for UT, they always get more of the TX players than we do, which is fine…we get more Cali kids than they do which I’d rather have in the first place.

          • Zack says:

I like the Cali kids but I’d rather have north texas kids who may have actually grown up OU fans. We’ll see how this incoming class of Cali kids does they may change my stance.

  • SoonerPhins says:

Do wrestling fans know that the whole thing is scripted?

  • Zack says:

Well I guess Tennessee might be off the list now for Gibson. They vols picked up a 4 star dual threat guy today.

  • shawn says:

I think a big part of the reason guys are committing to other schools right now is because of the talent that would be ahead of them. So many players want to be handed a starting position instead of earning it. At least that’s how it looks to me.

    • Jordan Esco says:

QBs generally commit fairly early and then try to help recruit for their class. Just kind of feels like that position is generally the bell-cow for a class.

      • Gary Robbins says:

In your most humble opinion who would you go after for a 2015 OU quarterback? It’s like Stidham at Tx. Tech is really hitting up recruits.

        • Jordan Esco says:

I think they’re after the right guy in Gibson, honestly. Now if things start to turn not in their favor, then who you’d go after at that point….I guess it’d have to be the Kyler Murray kid seeing as he’s their only other offer at this point.

  • BigJoeBrown says:

When I saw that the Cowpokes picked up Ronald Jones, I wasn’t surprised. Yeah, OU wants to recruit good talent. But right now OU has a lot of young, extremely talented backs who are only gaining experience. With Ford and Ross being sophmores, Mixon and Perine being Freshman. It’s going to be a few years until someone can come in and get significant playing time. Whoever comes in, I see them riding the pine, until at least their Junior season.

    • SoonerPhins says:

OU will have a monster of a RB corps. I just Hope RJ likes getting beat 3-4 years in a row.

    • Shifty says:

I think his sis goes there so I’m not at all surprised he ended up there…we’ll get ours

    • blaster1371 says:

Just gives the OU defense a quality opponent to stone. Pad your stats lad before Bedlam…..

    • Jordan Esco says:

This is somewhat big in that Kahlil McKenzie has said the two would like to play together. (but kids say that much more than it usually winds up happening).

      • Zack says:

Seems like Marshall is open to getting out of California. Glad ou offered him after he made it known he would like to hear from them. Did they originally think there was no chance he had interest? Or figured he’d stay home and go to USC?

  • BigJoeBrown says:

Is there a list out or is there a list planned of recruits attending the spring game?

    • Jordan Esco says:

I’ve got a pretty good idea, anyone in particular you’re looking for?

      • BigJoeBrown says:

        nope, just curious overall.

        • Gary Robbins says:

This is a list I’ve gathered the last couple of months. It is totally unofficial for sure.
Wesley Horky, Brentwood, Tn., OU commit, long snapper.
          Conner Dyer, ot, Mesquite, Tx.
Samaje Perine, rb, OU commit, Pflugerville, Tx.
Bo Wallace, olb, John Christian Academy, Louisiana
          Dahu Green, wr, OKC (westmoore).
Joe Mixon, rb, OU commit, Oakley, Ca. (hope-hope)
Breidon Fehoko, Honolulu, Ha., d/t, (here or Tx. Tech)(hope-hope)
Tim Settle, Manassas, Virginia, d/t, ???
Jalin Barnett, o/g, Lawton, Ok. (hope-hope)
Will Sunderland, Safety, MWC (Okla.) (hope-hope)
Drew Galitz, kicker, Rowlett, Tx ???
P.J. Mbanasor, c/b, Pflugerville, Tx. (if finds a ride) (hope-hope)
Rashard Lawrence, d/t, Monroe, La. (2016) iffy on ride
          Jace Sternberger, t/e, Kingfisher, Ok.
There are some official lists out there somewhere- I’m too tight to pay for them.

  • OU_Sooners says:

those reactions look like Bama fans during the Sugar Bowl.

  • OU_Sooners says:

I’ve been looking at contenders in the Big XII; It seems like not that many people are concerned with the departures of Baylor’s O Line and that they’re only returning 4 starters on Defense. I can see the offense being successful because of Petty, but I think their defense could have a rough time.

  • Shelby is a Patriot says:

GoT is back and Tenn might be out of picture for Gibson, what a wonderful day so far.

  • blaster1371 says:

The wrestling clip….. The crowd thinks this drama is real…… This has to be a sign of the apocalypse.

    • soonerbred4ever says:

That’s the stupid look. Stupid is required to watch the tumbling match they call wrestling.

  • Bennie Owen says:

Just gotta say, tuck fexas and BOOMER SOONER!!!
