2 BOOMs in one day? 2 BOOMs in one day. 2018 Memphis TN WR Kundarrius Taylor has committed to OU.

Oklahoma has long been the favorite of the teams battling for Taylor. He was offered by OU in January, and visited OU for the second time for the Spring Game in April. Taylor set his commitment date for his Senior Night later this fall. However, as time moved on, there was a feeling that this date could move up, as it did.

It appears that a numbers game may be a large factor here; as TFB reported in an Open Post this Friday (TFB: Open Post June 23)

The interesting thing to all of this is that Oklahoma has four spots, for sure, that they want to use at the wide receiver position. With OU possibly picking up both Johnson and Robinson in the next few days and with Bryson Jackson, Tommy Bush and Jaquayln Crawford all having the Sooners at or near the top of their list, my suspicion is that Taylor, too, has the Sooners at or near the top of his list and Sooners have let him know that the spots will be gone soon.

Taylor has indeed locked up that spot. He is a quick, tall athlete capable of playing WR, DB, and returning kicks. Watch the first clip in these highlights and tell me it doesn’t raise an eyebrow.

Lincoln Riley continues to build steam on the recruiting trail as he picks up another talented Sooner.

UPDATE: 6:20 PM

TFB spoke to Taylor concerning his commitment. He had this to say: “Coach Simmons is my boy! I chose OU because of him and the family there. Love it every time I visit.” That’s certainly a great reason to commit.
