Quick Hitter | 2026 OL Devan Robinson
– Charlie S – Posted on: May 19, 2025
Coach Bedenbaugh offered 2026 offensive lineman Devan Robinson.
I touched base with him real quick.
I mentioned to him that I saw he had a full slate of official visits planned and asked if there was any way he was gonna squeeze in a trip to Norman.
Robinson replied by saying “How could I not, it’s OU!”
He went on to let me know he will be officially visiting for the BBQ, June 20th.
After speaking with Devan a bit more and rewatching his film, I just wanted to pass along a couple additional notes.
***Robinson does not see himself as a ‘tackle only’. As a matter of fact told me he is currently transitioning to Center for his senior season (which lines up with my initial thinking).
***As far as recruiting, he tells me TCU, UH, and Baylor are recruiting him the hardest right now.
I’ll drop his film below, but I really like this offer, especially if he is working to be in a spot where he can play anywhere along the line. His length and height scream interior guy to me and with his athleticism, he could be a very good interior OL at the next level.
Bowe Bentley Moves Official Visits Around
– Charlie S – Posted on: May 19, 2025
As originally reported by Steve Wiltfong at On3, Sooners QB Target Bowe Bentley has made changes to his official visit schedule.
Bentley was originally scheduled to officially visit OU on June 13th and LSU on June 20th, which would have given the Tigers the last shot at him.
He has moved his visit with the Tigers to May 30th, and he will get to Norman the following week on June 6th.
Couple notable things here in regard to the move.
***The original June 13th date for OU would have had Bentley as the only scheduled official visitor for the Sooners that weekend.
***The move to June 6th will put Bentley on campus in Norman during a large official visit recruiting weekend (perhaps the Sooners’ largest of the cycle, even more so than the BBQ set for the 20th).
***With the completion of his visits prior to the end of the visit season, he will likely come to a decision sooner than he was planning, which is a good thing for all involved parties.
This is a head to head battle with LSU for the Sooners at this point as Georgia is no longer in contention.

Where things are at:
The Sooners lost out on a top target and made some choices since we last spoke about the running back Big Board.
Jonathan Hatton, who OU was trying to bring back into the class following his decommitment from OU, verbally committed to Texas A&M. OU is still talking to him, but he is currently committed to Aggie.
The Sooners simply passed on Kaydin Jones, who was ready to make his decision before OU was ready to accept him as part of the class, so he landed at OkState.
OU is still pursuing Ryelan Morris (Baylor commit who is expected to officially visit Norman this summer.
On May 9th, the Sooners extended an offer to DeZephen Walker, who will officially visit Norman on June 13th. While OU is late to the party on Walker, they seem to have made a nice impression and were able to set up the official in expeditious fashion. Nebraska and Kansas State are also in line to get official visits from him. We will have more on Walker in the coming days, but he is certainly one to watch at this point.
Right now, I would expect OU to be content with landing one running back in the class when all is said and done, but if they can find two they like, they could still make that work.

Where things are at:
Once upon a time, Ryan Gilbert was going to be the focus for the Sooners class at corner.
Upon Jim Nagy’s arrival, that changed and the Sooners basically walked away from that recruitment and Gilbert has since gone on to commit to SMU.
When looking at the original Big Board, one thing that sticks out is the number of guys who have made commitments since that board was posted back on February 18th.
The Sooners focus appears to have narrowed and there are currently two names that stick out to us after speaking with sources.
Keep an eye on Derrick Johnson and Danny Odem (not the receiver committed). Both of those guys are names we are hearing the most talk about on the OU end and each of them is scheduled to officially visit for the June 6th event.
The Sooners like where they are at currently with those two, and they hope to create some more separation with the visits.
With Kendel Dolby being the only potential corner who will be exhausting his eligibility following the season, and with all the young talent in the room, it still feels like the Sooners would be content with taking one high school corner and then making adjustments through the portal if need be.

Where things are at:
The Sooners have held the commitment from Ryder Mix for close to a year now and he seems very locked in as he has made his way to Norman on multiple occasions and is quite happy with his situation by all accounts.
After that, for much of the past year, OU has been spinning its wheels when it comes to tight end recruiting.
Enter Jim Nagy.
Nagy and crew helped identify a couple of additional targets, and we finally had some movement here.
Oklahoma offered Tyler Ruxer on May 6th, and within two weeks, they were able to get a visit planned and executed. Ruxer made his way to campus last weekend (May 16th) and it sounds like things went quite well. Ruxer enjoyed what he saw and will be taking an official visit to Norman this summer. Northwesterm Purdue, Duke, Minnesota and West Virginia are all vying for his services as well, but the Sooners seem to have the momentum right now.
Another recent offer, Jack Sievers, is listening to OU, but at this time, no firm plans have come together for a visit. We will keep tabs on where that one goes.
If OU can close on Ruxer, that would be a wrap on the high school class, but you can expect work to continue in the next portal cycle as OU will once again be looking for two new tight ends to run out there as starters following the year.
