The NCAA sucks. I think you know where I’m going with this.
Yes, the monopolization of amateur athletics, milking it for all its worth.
That strikes me as being pretty cool!
I gotta get one
Nice! Did anyone else see the ESPN bit on Striker?
Yeah I thought it was good. Unfortunately I watched a minute or so too long.
I saw it and it was decent but feel like it could have been much better. Why not interview his HS coaches? Why not talk to old friends from HS? Talk to his mom and get some background on Eric. Why not mention that he is a stellar academic performer. It just felt like it could have and would have been an amazing piece if it was an SEC player. I hate to be that guy but more and more it feels like they only cover other conferences because they have to. Striker is one of the most interesting players in the country especially if you look into his background and learn more about him. And he’s inspirational in so many ways not the least of which is the fact that he’s an undersized player that destroys bigger players…a true example of “it’s the size of the fight in the dog”.
Super K, I know you guys take suggestions and I know podcasts or live chats have been brought up here in the comments section. But maybe you guys could do an in depth interview (possibly video) with guys like striker. You guys already are awesome in what you do for the fans and I want you guys to get the recognition you deserve for the efforts you put in to find out more about these kids than just 40 times and what uniform they want to wear in college.
Awesome idea! What I think TFB would be able to do differently (and
probably better) than standard media-type interviews would be to bring out the sorts of info Super K was alluding to – personal motivations, background, traits from high school (football and otherwise) that might give us a better understanding to what makes a great football player.
You aren’t that guy when you have joined us guys on this issue.
I expected at least Herbstreet(?) to have more kind things to say about Striker after calling the game last week and raving about his performance. Clearly there was a script to follow.
Yeah, and then right after that bit, 3 out of 4 guys on the stage picked WVU to get the upset. All except Corso, until they got their guest picker on their who picked OU big. Really not sure what to expect with this one.
Love it, my wife will love the gift even more! Thanks for offering this item!

Are the wrinkles part of The Striker package? 🙂 Nice design!
These are shirts he wore in practice….no extra charge 😉
That’s a bargain then.
Looking good!
Are these the same shirt providers as the Boom shirt?
I still need to return my undersized shirt.
I would assume they are. Didn’t K ask you to contact him about getting your size issue resolved?
I emailed, got no response.
I see you are incorporating the graphics ala the CB spinning his hand design like I suggested. ; ) My order will be in shortly.
This isn’t any different than the NCAA selling and profiting from #19 jerseys. It’s Eric’s likeness that is being profited from but he gets no share of it. Not a fan of this method of merchandising, especially from a site that has admirably seemed to put the players and their best interests above all else.
A lot of players actually like this because it expands their brand. Rest assured we’ll know if Striker has a problem with it and if he does the shirt won’t exist anymore.
