TFB Website Updates

First off, we want to thank you all for being such kind and loyal readers and members of TFB family. Since we launched the site back in October of 2013 it has grown tremendously. Again, many thanks to you all.
We’ve added a few updates to the site:
– We’ve thinned out the post layout on the front page.
– Many of you asked us to create some categories to make things easier to navigate. Our designer did a good job of finding a simple way to do that. You can see the tabs under the tool bar. We are still working on categorizing past posts so bare with us. But hopefully, going forward this will make things a little more organized but still keep the site simple.
– We’ve added a sub-blog section called “The Original Posters”. You can read about that in K’s post on The Original Posters link.
– We’ve added the OU football schedule to the front page.
– We’ve added a little t-shirt shop with a few shirts thanks to Yost.
– In the coming weeks we’ll be adding some new contributors and additional features. Please always feel free to send us any notes, feedback, constructive criticism, etc. (email: admin at TheFootballBrainiacs.com)

He did a great job of choosing the font.
Is the store something that you plan on expanding with merch in the future or is it kind of on a trial run?
BOOM is the one I’m getting and would love to have a brand of TFB on the bottom corner. Layout is great but would like to have the recruits listed. Also, it would be great to keep up with the recruits we like so much that haven’t been offered like Whitfield, Moore, & Sternberger.
The football schedule was a good touch. I really like the shirts-hopefully hats in the future. It’s nice to be able to select certain topics.
I like the schedule also but…..it’s missing the National Championship game. I’m sure it was just a mistake and can be added later.

Looks sharp guys! Ordered a 2X BOOM shirt because the wifey does have me on the Catfish and bread diet 🙂

One the many things I have always appreciated about this site is how fast it loads, not a lot of RAM robbing text going on.
As for the t-shirts, since the term “Striker-Backer” originated at TFB, that should be made available, too.
Not sure the schedule is necessary, already have it seared into my brain, but not a big deal.
Just keep up the good work providing us viewers with top quality OU related info.
Might even be able to show the score after each game that is played next to it as we progress through the season. Just a thought.
Will Jordan be doing his synopsis of the games like did on that other site? Not necessary, just wondering.
Nice. The whole page looks better then before, and I like all the options at the top as well. I got not only three of my old friends on here now but my Dentist just this week! LOL Great site, I sincerely appreciate all the effort you folks are putting into it making it better.
When I found y’all in early November I figured it was only a matter of time when this site would take off. Well done people!

Very cool that you can check out all the posts, or just navigate to a heading for specifics. Kudos on the improvements.
Some sites can go too far with overhauls. This is not one of those sites. Subtle and functional. Very nice

You guys are just doing things the right way. When you mentioned in TOP that the site launched in Oct 13 I had to look back b/c I thought that was about the time I hooked on and it was. This has been a great place from the jump and just keeps getting better. Thanks for making subtle changes to make it a better experience without going crazy and for polling the masses for feedback (ala the message board idea).
Appreciate the work you guys do. Makes it a great place for fans to visit. Honestly, though they’re still in my bookmarks, I haven’t visited another site for OU football info in months.
And soon I will even have a shirt to showcase my allegiance! It will be fun to see “BOOM” shirts around on game days knowing that they’re TFB fans!

Love the site. Is there a mobile optimized version of the site in the works? Or a native iOS, Android or WinPhone app perhaps?

Whitfield – and again and again! Man, you just know Coach is shaking his head on not being able to offer.
It’s going to take a little getting used to but I’m liking the new format. Was thinking we’d see t’s with some of that artwork from the earlier pieces on some the CB recruits. Maybe a ‘Bringin’ the Boom’ with that pic of the DB in his stance and spinning his hand.
There is absolutely nothing that comes close to this site. The depth and quality that you guys put out is incredible. Been visiting for months but with the website update, thought it was finally time to start commenting. Thanks for all that you guys do and keep up the good work!

I haven’t been much of a contributor, but I have been a friendly lurker for some time a I want you to know that I appreciate the site very much. I also give strong approval to the many comments other Sooner fans and the lack of vitriol in those comments. I will say that I will forgive those heartfelt comments made concerning those teams that are in that state that dangles from the lower portions of Soonerland. 😉
It looks good – the best part is the information and insight you guys give to the OU fan. It’s been great for recruiting, summer workouts, fall camp…and now I look forward to your comments and info on the SEASON.
