Steven Parker Update

So we wanted to update y’all on Jenks DB Steven Parker. Here we go:
1. Contrary to some reports Steven will not visit Ole Miss this weekend. He will be visiting Stillwater for the OSU vs. Baylor game.
2. We want to put another Steven Parker rumor to rest (see our past Steven Parker posts for other rumors we’ve put to rest). There are some folks that believe Steven’s father is dissuading him from Oklahoma and that is absolutely false.
3. We are confident that despite the visit to OSU Steven will not end up in Stillwater.
4. We are also becoming increasingly confident that OU will win Steven’s commitment in the end. Not ready to say “take it to the bank” but getting closer.

That for sure was a long and winding road.
Out of the DB’s, I really want Steven Parker. We have to take advantage of ALL the instate talent…Also have you all heard anything on Allan Havili and Adoree Jackson? I don’t know what the goal was this year on recruiting DB’s
Oklahoma backed of Havili a while back. Adoree Jackson is a no go 🙂
so the aTm visit is completely overblown? I’ve agreed with McQuistion for a long time that if a kid is spending that much time in Norman on “unofficials” practically every weekend except the past 2 that will count for something. But aTm’s recent recruiting success is a juggernaut and tough to diminish as well
After the TAMU trip we posted a note saying that TAMU was a threat but the reports that he was about to commit to them we’re false. That was the reality and, as we predicted, Steven didn’t commit. TAMU was a threat at that time. Not nearly as much anymore. OU is looking very strong right now.
Love the update….of course 🙂 all hell breaks out w/fanbase if we lose this one out of backyard. I’d rather avoid the meltdown.
lol yeah I don’t think that’s going to happen here. OU is sitting pretty right now with Parker.
Can I safely assume the offer to Overton has positively affected Parker’s recruitment?
Definitely can’t hurt. I don’t know how close the two are, but the best players want to play together.
A lot of the concern over Parker initially was due to rumors and misinformation that tends to start when a local kid takes his time with the process.
