Certainly sounds like it’s going to be some combination of Davis Webb & Patrick Mahomes on Saturday. (Journal)

‘Tech Students Like Making Jokes About Baker Mayfield’ (VTM)

Uh-oh.

Probably not the brightest idea.

The wife made me watch the first one….didn’t hate it.

Been done before, but looks decent.

What a perfect storm – TX is down, O$U is down – what a great time for OU to really take over the Big 12. Shaking my head.

    • SoonerSpock says:

Instead OU is down, Texas is down, OSU is down and Baylor may well be taking over the B12. SMH too!!!

    • John Garner says:

Texas won’t be down for long. Charlie Strong will right the ship. Bad news for OU if Bobbie doesn’t make some changes.

      • Stephen Dale says:

John G…………………….the ship has already been ‘righted’ in Austin. Texas will be the team to beat in this conference by 2016 as both Baylor & TCU;s classes graduate.

        • paganpink says:

I think OU will be the team to beat. We whipped Texas this year, we’ll whip Texas next year and Strong may be looking for a new job in 2016.

      • DCinAZ says:

Bobby gonna get his ass whipped next year by Charlie if he doesn’t get it together.

    • DCinAZ says:

Texas won’t be down much longer. You can see coach Skrong getting that giant ship of fail turned around. Took a wide berth to do it, but he’s getting it done.

  • OUWade says:

If anyone would like to beat me up for $25,000, just want to let you all know that I’d be okay with that. I will also gladly apologize to your mother for anything you like, and I will happily do 100 hours of community service in an orphanage. Just sayin’… the deals on the table 😉

  • ME says:

Will Mayfield ever be able to appeal to someone that he be able to use this year as a RS year? That would give him 3 full years of eligibility. Otherwise, he’s got 3 to play 2.

    • Jed says:

I think the answer is ‘no’, but I haven’t been following his appeal process and maybe he’s still got some to go on that.

  • CKill1 says:

With TK9 out and Sheppard ailing, one thing I’m really looking forward to is 60+ plays of power football. I want taco tech broken and bleeding. I want each of our backs to get 20 carries. I want tech’s D-line to be afraid to line up by the fourth quarter. I want their D-backs quivering with fear each time the ball is snapped. So, that means Heupel will throw it 45 times tomorrow, right?

I just found out there’s finally a sequel to Paul Blart : Mall Cop 🙂
    Woohoo !

  • Cush Creekmont says:

Most of the movies and the current state of football both give me the same urge – read a book.

Just when you thought the news section couldn’t get any weirder :-O

You’d think a bunch of engineering majors would’ve been a bit more creative with their jokes… weak sauce

  • Chris White says:

I know you guys focus more on the Football side of OU athletics, but I was wondering if any of the Brainiacs knew something on TaShawn Thomas for the basketball team? I know NCAA works on their own time with eligibility cases but is there any confidence on gettin him cleared or not? Especially by the Battle for Atlantis tournament

    • Jordan Esco says:

Still no change, unfortunately. Or word of when some news might come. It’s a very frustrating situation for everyone involved.

      • Chris White says:

Glad this got cleared right in time! If only they showed the football team this kind of Love!

  • BigJoeBrown says:

Don’t know if you guy’s caught it. But James Hale interview Spencer Tillman about the state of OU football, it’s pretty interesting. I admit I was one of the ones that thought he was crazy a couple of years ago when he spoke about OU’s complaceny but now I can’t help but think perhaps he is right. Crazy to think that this Senior class has gone four years and beat Baylor only once…
