Conflicting reports as of this morning as to the severity of the injury, but this would be a significant loss for the Vols if it’s as serious as some are speculating.

I’m so excited to Perine dominate this year!
That would be a huge loss for Tennessee !
I think they already lost another player for the year.
Yep there most experienced offensive lineman.
I certainly don’t wish injuries on anybody, but this stuff evens out over time. OU has definitely had our fair share of major injuries in Bob’s tenure. Just a part of the game.
Hateful 8.. Yes!
I was disappointed that Bo Ryan was retiring for no other reason than I wanted him there just long enough for us to finish up our home and home series.
That shark is probably hoping for a “third time’s the charm” encounter…
*shudder* I hate those damn things.

I’d fight one … on dry land … but I’d probably take my time.
That shark is a real life Jaws. Such a huge majestic creature.
Sharks and I get along famously, they stay in their yard and I stay in mine.
Great read on Perine!
Brooks was hilarious….!!!!
Hopefully North will get some good results from his MRI today. I was at the game when Broyles got injured and the team never seemed quite the same.
It’s always a great day to be a SOONER!!!!!!!!! Won’t be long now. #Chase4eightonourwayto48
You mean Texsa? You know, the “modern” Austin way of spelling it.
I know this is old news, but I read the Shannon article in the jokelahoman and I have got to say that Jenni Carlson makes me sick!!!! She wasn’t even at the interview and she starts drawing conclusions and putting words in Frank’s mouth. What kind of journalist does this make her? She is trash in my opinion!!!!
Totally agree she’s a pig ..made him guilty in the eyes of the media..
The Hateful 8 looks like a brilliant take on The Thing.
G-Day minus 23
Some great players to choose from. Here are a few.
Brodney Pool – Allan Patrick – Woodie Shephard
Woodie Shephard. Woodie throws a HB pass at the 1:50 mark and Sooner Magic is born.

Totally different brand of football. I was lucky enough to attend OU between 74 – 79 and the years were truly magical.
I was there at the same time. It was spectacular. Lil’ Joe, Steve Davis, the Selmons, smashing Tony Dorsett…..
It was truly special.
Yep, Greg Pruitt, USS Vaughn. Greg Roberts!!! Those were the days. That was Scotty Hill that blasted Dorsett.

Never gets old.
Nope. I was there. I heard the roar of the crowd could be heard in downtown Norman after that hit.
sometimes hared to believe it was almost 40 yrs ago.
My favorite Sooner play of all time!
Was mine, until Superman Williams.
Elvis Peacock was pretty good also!
I will never forget his fumble to himself at the line of scrimmage and scooping it up and running with it.
Hadn’t seen that footage before. I would love to see us use either of those trick plays this year.
Allan Patrick

i still cant believe that terrible call on the long TD run against ATM.
Man AP was so strong but could fly! Wish he had another year where he could’ve been in the spotlight. One of the most underrated players of the last 15 years.
Brodney Pool

Still one of the measuring sticks for a S. Not many of his kind come around.
Going back to the great Sooner teams of 72-74, there was Pat Hussey.
http://www.soonerstats.com/football/players/details.cfm?PlayerID=759#.Vcydv7NnpQo
One of so many great players on those teams.
Should have had 3 nattys in a row with that talent.
Got 1 of course. But probation in 73. One outfit named them champs in 73 though. 72 lost one game…I maintain that 71-75 was one if not the greatest five-year run in CFB history. 71 ranked 2nd, 72 2nd, 73, 2nd (Coaches), 74 1st, 75 1st…I say they should have won five in a row.
Game of the Century loss in 71, A wet field at Colorado in 72. 73 10-0-1…They should have been ranked no 1.
I’ll see your 71-75 and raise you a 54-58. In 71-75 we were 54-3-1 in 54-58 we were 51-2
Schtoopid hunchback leprechauns!
Yeah! Them little green men (not the army ones) still bug me.
so, so long ago….few are alive today who witnessed the 1957 game …
And in ’71, the top 3 three teams were all in the Big 8.
I still maintain there were two clips on Rodgers punt return in the ’71 game. Jack Mildren was incredible.
Yep the uncalled clip probably cost OU #8
well, then we need to go to the legislator and have these voted in. OU needs to add another 5 or 6 so we can keep up with Auburn.
Auburn…phffffft.
Still got the pic of AP holding the ball up after the oregon onsides kick on my office wall. I remember him crying on senior day. I’ve got a lot of respect for that kid.
I was at that game and still have the red a** over it.
I was what, 12 when that game happened? I remember being absolutely furious about that game (and not just the onside kick, pretty much the whole 4th quarter was a farce). Now, I’m not one to hold grudges, and in fact I can’t think of a single person who I actually hate. . . but f*** Oregon.
I’m right there with you on everything except the 12 thing. I can’t ever remember being 12. lol. But yeah, I still hold a grudge.
The thing that torqued me off the most was that that ref got promoted to Coordinator of Officiating for the entire conference the next season. I’m no conspiracy theorist by nature, but when that happens in the face of an egregious screw up of that caliber, something’s rotten in Denmark to me.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Sharks and softball and stuff, that’s all cool. But you know what we the faniacs want, TFB. We want scrimmage notes!
[Chants] Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes!
Give us what we want, or we’ll burn it down! 🙂
Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes!
Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes!
Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes! Scrimmage notes!
If TFB was any good they would get us a scrimmage video!!!! 😉
With in depth play by play analysis from each coordinator.
And lots of speculation and doomsday scenarios from the comments section!
Don’t believe it was a full-on scrimmage, fwiw. But I believe we should have some more practice notes here in a bit.
Not-quite-full-on scrimmage notes! Not-quite-full-on scrimmage notes! 🙂
Yeah open post?
Heck yeah open post!
Fabricate scrimmage notes! Fabricate scrimmage notes!
I sure would like to see the scrimmage.
Rumor has it that there was a scrimmage. Any chance we can see some highlights? Who stood out? Which QB threw the most interceptions? How’d the WRs look? Is the DL that good, or are those creampuffs on the OL? We want answers.
The QBs all threw 18 ints each but the D was so bad they still allowed 100 TDs.

That article on Sherri Coale (and her ladies and the OU athlete community in general, like Kasistati) is why Sherri is so important to Soonerland. The way she represents OU is unparalleled.
