Quick question, is the Playoff committee basically changing their own criteria week to week? And why is Mississippi State the beneficiary? TCU has a much better case for #4 than any of the other teams when each record is compared among TCU, MSU, tOSU, and BU
I also want to add the question as to why ole f’ing miss is ranked ahead of us after the dud they put up last week? I feel that this “eye test” reason is used very randomly, which is troubling. Because last I checked MSST did not do well with the eye test (struggled against the mighty Kentucky and Arky and lost to Bama, rather convincingly before tacking on points when it was all over). And their SOS is garbage compared to TCU. Don’t get it. Seems with the current standings, big12 is going to have a tough time getting into the playoffs.
Agreed, they can say whatever they want at this point but next week it could all be different just to support putting in who they want, not who has earned it
Something that seems to get glossed over by virtually everyone in this debate, Miss St stuggled with UAB in week 2. TCU gets punished for struggling with a P5 and in-conference team in Kansas, but nothing is said about MSST struggling with a middle/lower tier Conference USA team that put up 550 yds on that SEC defense.
Agreed. Miss state so over ranked as is ole miss.
…and Bama. The whole “game control theory” flew out the door when they struggled vs West Virginia. The only reason they won is WVU gave it to them. Bama never “controlled” that game, so why are they ranked so high? WHO have they beat this year that makes them #1?
other things that are being overlooked is that the B12 only plays 3 non-conf games unlike the the powder puff the SEC played last week.
I agree with you. However, if Baylor and TCU were Oklahoma and Texas I seriously doubt Miss St would be ranked where they are.

I watch all the videos Esco and you and I generally have the same tastes so I appreciate ya buddy. I’m thinking we need an official TFB eating contest of some sort. We all agree on a food and submit videos of our efforts. Not tomorrow obviously cuz I am about to do work on some Deep Fried Turkey!
