Open Post | Weekend, Mar. 4th – 6th (UPDATE Sun., 3:54 pm)

Weekend Visitors: OU will start spring practice on Saturday and the Sooners are expected to have a number of visitors on hand over the weekend. We’ve mentioned some of them throughout the week, but below is our most recently updated list of names.

Tre Brown: The 2017 CB out of Tulsa Union and OU offer is planning to be in Norman on Sunday. It’s a busy weekend for Brown, who is also planning to visit Arkansas on Saturday.

Some expected Brown might already be committed to the Sooners by now, so naturally there has been some speculation he could pull the trigger this weekend. However, I spoke to Brown and it sounds like he is going to give it a little more time before committing. “I’m still very high on OU, but I want to make sure that I give other schools a chance. Because once I’m committed somewhere, I won’t be taking anymore visits.”

Stephan Zabie: 2017 OT Stephan Zabie (Austin, TX) has been on fire lately, picking up offers from Missouri, Texas A&M and several others. Zabie let TFB know yesterday he will visit Oklahoma this weekend. Zabie said that while he and Bedenbaugh did not talk about an OU offer, he’s hopeful one will be extended.

Roshauud Paul: As we mentioned earlier this week, 2017 ATH/WR Roshauud Paul (Bremond, TX) plans on visiting OU this weekend as well. Paul recently released a Top 4 which included: OU, Nebraska, Baylor and Texas A&M.

Paul says a final decision on a commitment could come “sometime in the next couple of weeks.” So this trip to OU figures to play a considerable role in making an impression prior to Paul’s final decision. As to why Paul is looking to commit this early in the process, he is on pace to graduate early and be a January 2017 enrollee.

Tylan & Tracin Wallace: Earlier Friday morning, the Wallace brothers, Tylan (WR) and Tracin (ATH), tweeted out they will also be in Norman this weekend. Tylan had mentioned to TFB on numerous occasions that he’s wanted to visit Norman for some time, and now it looks like that will finally happen. Tylan holds an offer from OU, but his brother Tracin does not. We are told that will be a topic of discussion with the OU coaches this weekend.

Levi Draper: There had been some talk online this past week that 2017 LB & OU commit Levi Draper may be looking around, an offer from Notre Dame seemed to prompt the speculation. But Draper told TFB there is absolutely nothing to the talk and he remains 100% committed to the Sooners.

Draper is also planning to be in Norman for another unofficial visit on Sunday.

CJ Moore: Another name discussed earlier in the week is that of 2018 WR CJ Moore (Tulsa, OK), who is planning to be in Norman and also hoping to receive an offer from the Sooners. The OU coaches are looking to get in early with Moore, not only because he’s a talented player but also due to the fact their in-state rival, Ok State, already has an in with Moore. He has a relative, Tracy Moore, that played wide receiver for the Cowboys from 2009-13.

Isaiah Humphries: 2018 DB Isaiah Humphries (Sachse, TX) will also visit Oklahoma this weekend and already holds an OU offer.

We expect there will be some other visitors in addition to those names above, and we’ll continue to work on tracking down those names. As always, we will update this OP throughout the weekend.

– UPDATE (Sat., 10:25 am): You can add 2017 RB Kennedy Brooks, 2017 DB Justin Broiles & 2018 OL & OU commit Brey Walker to the list of visitors this weekend.

– UPDATE (Sat., 1:05 pm): Practice pics from today are up on OU Football’s Facebook page.

UPDATE (Sat., 3:53 pm): 2017 OT out of Austin, TX, Stephan Zabie tells me that Oklahoma extended an offer to him. Also, been talking to folks about the first day of practice and it sounds like it went really well. Sooners even did a little good on good. Still gathering information on who stood out.
