Open Post | Wednesday, Feb. 10th (UPDATE 3:35 pm)

Trajan Bandy: Yesterday, I spoke to the father of 2017 CB Trajan Bandy (Miami, FL). Earlier this week it was reported that Bandy had publicly named Oklahoma as one of his top schools. Bandy’s father confirmed those reports and emphasized the importance of his son being recruited by both Kerry Cooks and the HC himself, Bob Stoops.

“The OU staff just seems so genuine. When you have a coach like Bob Stoops text you and ask who you like in the Super Bowl…that’s awesome.” Bandy’s father went on to say, “you can count on one hand how many kids he is texting that stuff to.”

And Bandy’s father would know, having played under Pat Dye at Auburn. He understands the recruiting game. Bandy’s father went on to say they have set up a visit to Norman for the April 9th Red/White game. The family also plan on visiting Auburn later on this spring or summer.

If OU continues to hold suit as a leader, they will be getting one of the more twitchy and explosive athletes in 2017, along with planting their flag early in the tough recruiting grounds of Miami, Florida. – (Brandon)

Tre Brown: Another explosive CB just a couple hours east of Norman is 2017 prospect Tre Brown (Tulsa, OK). Brown has been picking up a number of offers lately including South Carolina, Nebraska, Kansas State & Iowa State. I spoke with Brown last night who said the new defensive backs coach at Florida, Torrian Gray, has also reached out upon his arrival on the staff in Gainesville, so an offer could be coming soon there as well.

The Oklahoma coaches have stayed in touch as well, and Brown told TFB that Kerry Cooks has said an offer could be on the way. Brown will be in Stillwater on Friday and it sounds like he could receive an offer from the Pokes at that time. He will then head to Norman on Saturday for what is shaping up to be a pretty big recruiting weekend for the Sooners. – (Super K)

– Weekend Visitor List: As you’ve asked for, TFB has put together a working list of the visitors OU is expecting to host this weekend.

– UPDATE (9:42 am): 2016 OU LB signee Caleb Kelly addressing the narrative that has taken hold following NSD that he came to his decision, in part, to pulling a school’s name out of a hat.

– UPDATE (10:23 am):

– UPDATE (11:59 am):

– UPDATE (3:28 pm): Our first look at new Sooners QB Kyler Murray in action, hooking up with Dallis Todd for the TD grab. (Apologies for the self-tweet & lack of quality. I had to record my screen rather than embed Du’Vonta Lampkin’s actual tweet like I otherwise would have, but I think we all know it’s simply a matter of time until some OU coach tells him to take it down. Then people come back here and are all like “what did I miss???” Whereas now we don’t have to deal with that.)

He was saying his disappointed reaction to thinking Notre Dame was in the hat was what told him his heart was with OU. Not sure why people can’t understand that…

      • Jordan Esco says:

I think anyone who took the time to actually read the interview does understand that. But we’re talking about the real world today and how the Internet boils things down to a single talking point, regardless of whether or not it is a fair representation of what may have been said.

I think he’s just attempting to offer clarification for the people who only read the headline.

        • Jeremy Phillips says:

You’d be amazed at the dumbassery of some people.. I’ve seen people post actual quotes from the story & claim that he obviously wanted to go to ND & will likely transfer before he plays a down at OU.

        • Dusty D Anderson says:

Unfortunately, we live in a time where people read just the headline and run with it.

      • Jake says:

        Driving me nuts

    • Tinycop says:

Yeah, if you read the story, it is very obvious how that headline is very misleading.

  • SoonerMagic76 says:

Just FYI Brandon, you listed Trajan Brandy as a 2016 CB in your first sentence instead of 2017. Friendly heads up!

  • Kevin Fielder says:

I can’t believe only three of the kids visiting are from Texas…world ending! 😉

  • PlayLikeaChampion says:

I wish Caleb Kelly would have went with the lucky paper in the hat chance gig, because ND fans always believe they have the Luck of the Irish. Well, except when 5 Star LBs sign NLI to OU with mom and brother doing the horns down gig with all kinds of OU hats in the bag.

Not sure how long they rehearsed that highlight show, but it was worthy of an Emmy Award!

    And, an ESPY!

We need to get Tre offered, no need to wait.

  • J. Brent Clark says:

What is the story on Bryce Youngquist? Not trying to intrude on his personal reasons but I would think he needs to resolve his college choice soon.

  • DR LEO MARVIN says:

Nice to see some close talent in Tulsa in Tre Brown.

  • SoonerMagic76 says:

Who are you guys (TFB posters and everyone hanging out here too) most excited about currently for the 2017 class?

  • Jake says:

Once again, why does OU slow play in state talent and then everyone bi***es when in state talent leaves the state?

    • Eddie and Amber says:

This might be the case where they want to offer face to face. If not, then I would agree.

    • Jake says:

First of all, nice name ?.

      Secondly, it’s “just my opinion”….

But I honestly think OU still tries to dramatize/make special the moment they offer an in-state kid. It’s pretty unique to have out-of-state coaches take notice of you and pursue you. Whereas, in-state offers can be so easily extended and sometimes expected. I think they still try to create a unique experience for in-state guys, so they don’t feel like “they’ve seen it all and start looking to leave the state”.

‘Preciate you posting, man! You bring up a great question.

      • Mike Reed says:

Are you talking to yourself? I’m sure there’s medication for that. 🙂

      • Jake says:

It is a great name for sure, I’m sure you can attest to that.
I see what you’re saying but that can backfire.

Dang near happened with Draper. It feels like they slow play because they think the in state guy will wait for OU while OU goes and searches elsewhere for better talent.
If that falls through then OU has their fall back in state guy. That doesn’t work like it used to. I see in state guys leaving all the time now when that used to not be the case.
Okies need to be priority, then go get the national guys in my opinion.

    • Scott says:

OU has other players higher up on their list for the DB position.

  • BoomerDave says:

I like that ’17 commit Robert Barnes is coming back again to presumably help recruit his future teammates. It would be nice to see Draper do the same. It’s never too soon to develop leadership in the ’17 class.

    • Jake says:

That’s exactly what I thought when I saw the latest update. You can never have enough star talent reinforcing what you’re selling.

  • JY says:

I think it’s too early to say OU is slow playing anyone for 2017. Signing day for 2016 was a week ago.

TAMU Insider just posted this. It’s a breakdown of the 2015 drama, lots of Murray involved. I’m copying and pasting for those who don’t want to click the link. http://www.agtimes.com/boards/viewtopic.php?t=85995. Found it on Reddit.

“Now that signing day is done it is time for as the Aggies Turn 2015. Some of this will be fact, some will be supposition, some will be rumors.

2015 started about as well as can be expected most people thought ASU would whip us pretty good. We dominated the game and were quite simply a more athletic and faster team.

However, there was some dissension in the ranks. By now everyone knows that Spav and Christensen did not get along. They had different ideas on the direction of the offense and despite the fact that technically Spav was DC’s boss DC would often dominate meetings. (according to players)

This in itself may not have been a problem, but players did not like nor did they respect DC they never bought into his style. This cost A&M Hudson. Hudson met DC and promptly decommitted.

The players did like if not necessarily respected Spav. This division would filter into the locker room. It was fairly obvious throughout the year that there was a Kyler vs. Kyle camp. DC wanted Kyler and made it very clear. Spav favored Allen.

The problem for the team is most players respected neither one. Allen was aloof and quiet and kind of awkward (according to players) simply put he didn’t command a room.

Kyler was not liked at all. He had a few core friends on the team, but the rest pretty much couldn’t stand his attitude and the fact that he was just not as good as he thought he was.

It was obvious over the next several games that something was not right with the offense. It was disjointed and had no direction. Most OCs use plays to set up more plays. The play calling lacked any cohesiveness. Before the MSU game Sumlin had a come to Jesus meeting with the staff. Get your crap together or else (according to AD personnel) Not surprisingly the MSU game was our most complete game of the season and showed what this team could have been.

However, Allen was dinged up at the end of the game. Coaches and trainers asked Allen if he could go and he said he was fine. Whether it was out of worry that he would lose his position or whatever he basically lied. Against Bama everyone could see that he was not right. By the time that Spav chose to make a change Kyler was in full pout mode and refused to go in the game and the very well documented cuss out session occurred. Players were furious (According to players). Any support Kyler had at large on the team evaporated that day.

Allen felt the attempt to put in Kyler was a breach of trust and started putting transfer feelers out. Players caught wind of this and the trust they had in Kyle evaporated. By the Ole Miss game players wanted Jake to take over Kyle was visibly hurt but would not admit it. Kyler was in effect suspended. Sumlin made a tactical error here by starting Kyle (My opinion). This is also where the Houston vs. Dallas rivalry reared its ugly head among the big cigars. The Dallas crew wanted to see a return on their “investment” and was pressuring Sumlin in a big way to start Kyler.(Rumor) Sumlin opens the competition and by numerous accounts Jake wins the competition hands down.(Seals-Jones tweet, players) Kyler is named the starter. Players are annoyed.(Players) Dallas BMAs pacified. South Carolina goes okay and maybe a glimmer of hope. However, players see near picks that were dropped. Western Carolina is a poor showing all the way around and Kyler has a crap game and blames it on the OL. (Players)

Auburn. Kyler packs it in.(Transfer imminent) Poor effort, takes a dive and pretends to get hurt.(According a player who saw him running around town after the game.) Sumlin fed up. Reopens QB competition. Kevin Murray goes apepoop.(AD contact)

Again Jake wins according to the players. Sumlin make a tactical error and starts Allen against Vandy(Personal opinion) Murray and poppa go into full meltdown mode (AD personnel). Allen has a good game, but get wind that Spav is gone. (Transfer imminent) Dallas BMAs furious.(AD personnel)

LSU- Kyle gets hurt Jake plays Kyler pouts and sits. Dallas BMAs start circulating rumors and feeding media about Sumlin’s future and the stories about how he has lost the program.(Rumors)

Houston BMA’s counter with feeds of their own countering and trying to make biggest Dallas BMA backer Sharp look bad. (Rumor)

Allen announces transfer. Players mildly surprised and largely apathetic. (Players)

Dallas BMAs lead by papa Murray make threats to cut Sumlin off if Kyler is not announced as starter. (Rumor)

Infamous meeting between Murray’s and Sumlin takes place where papa Murray makes a demand either to be apart of new OC search or be the new OC(AD personnel) Sumlin Basically tells papa to go pound sand. Dallas BMAs ramp up rhetoric.

Kyler takes a day to “think” about things. Teammates pack up his locker and leave it all outside the locker room. (Players and confirmed) Kyler burned to many bridges. Kyler announces transfer. Dallas BMAs go all in on smearing Sumlin. Stories start circulating about alcohol abuse. BMAs on Texags use the Zoo to spread rumors about player discontent.(Totally false by the way the players are very united especially after Kyler transfer.)

Sumlin targets Mazzone as his guy. Dallas Ags want to force Meachum on him and go behind Sumlin’s back to make contact. Sumlin contacts Meachum and lets him know the situation. Dallas BMAs go apepoop and feed the media again.

BMAs in Houston and Dallas apparently get into a pissing match on social media. Dallas BMAs want Sumlin out but can’t get buyout together without Houston or San Antonio BMA help. Neither is ready to make a move.

So unlike t.u. who despite wanting Strong gone banded together and did what was good for the program A&M splinters and completely hamstrings Sumlin’s recruiting efforts.

Two days before signing day the new AD has the media people put up the coaches on the AD website and DC is not on the list. He calls Sumlin and Sumlin has to deal with the fact that the AD released information without letting him talk to DC first.

There are rumors that the AD and Sumlin are not on the same page.(AD personnel)

Gentleman the left hand either doesn’t know what the right hand is doing right now or it is trying to cut it off.

The gilligans are currently out of control. This is why we will never get to where we should be.(Personal opinion)”

      • King says:

Your loss, if even half the stuff that is said about Kyler is true in this then EVERYONE needs to dial back the excitement for this kid.

I knew he was difficult but when you take a day to figure out what you want to to and your teammates pack your locker and throw your stuff outside?

        That’s bad. Really bad.

        • J.r. Kamm says:

He’s got a fresh start. If he performs, great. If he doesn’t, Bob will surely show him the door. He’s cut highly-rated players before.

          • King says:

Yeah I agree for sure. Especially with the way Kendall looks. Murray isn’t anyone’s boss at OU and his dad will keep his mouth shut if he’s know what’s good for the both of them.

          • MoJoOkie says:

Yep, and it sounds more like the coaching staff has lost all control and the effects are filtering down into the players. When the coaches flounder, the team will generally follow suit; and then the finger pointing begins. Add in a few losses and pretty soon no one likes anyone.

        • rainydaze114 says:

I do not care what goes on in teenagers’ lives or in the locker room. That’s why Bob makes so much money.

          • SCKSChief says:

Bob makes money because you don’t care? LOL

          • rainydaze114 says:

          • SCKSChief says:

Hmm…how about we use a segue to connect two completely unrelated thoughts? You have never stated why Bob makes so much money. Rather than “reading comprehension” maybe you should focus on “writing competence”. I was kidding with you, but your attack on my intelligence will not go unmet.

          • rainydaze114 says:

The period goes inside the quotation marks. You really considered that an attack? Sounds like you may need some more coffee.

          • SCKSChief says:

Touche on the period. Well, when you suggest one can’t comprehend what you’ve written, it does come across that way.

Yes. Tone is everything, and often difficult to convey.

      • J.r. Kamm says:

Not a bad read. Sounds like Sumlin’s days are numbered.

        • King says:

I’m not so sure. They can’t afford to buy him out and he can’t afford to just quit because of that 5 mil penalty.

They’re stuck with each other. I hope it works out, even if it was only for a year Sumlin was a Sooner.

    • soonermusic says:

Pasting the whole article? Seriously? I wonder if Jordan has ever expressed an opinion about that practice… 🙂
Not speaking for anyone other than myself, but I much prefer a small quote and a link.

      • lovethemsooners says:

I don’t have a problem with it. In fact I appreciate it.

      • King says:

Honestly I’m the total opposite. If you tell me something to catch my attention and then the first thing you do after is post a link? It’s actually pretty aggravating for most people. I mean what you just asked for is essentially click bait and I don’t do that.

Read it here or read it there, no one put a gun to your head.

        • Soonercntry says:

I disagree. I like not having to click the link.

        • soonermusic says:

JMHO, but it’s not click bait if the link is to valuable content and is represented properly. Click bait, is when you’re just trying to get clicks and the content is irrelevant.

Secondly, blog bloat is a long standing offense on the internet. Yes I can easily scroll past one article and not read it, if I want, but if everyone does that, the thread becomes unwieldy and a drag to wade through.

Finally, there are issues that Jordan has referenced about taking someone else’s content in full and posting it, that should at least be considered.

Again, just my personal opinion. I understand that folks don’t like to click away from the site and might find it convenient not to have to.

          • King says:

Don’t care. You can collapse the comment so you don’t see it and I sourced my post, providing access to the original content. If you read it here’s because you deliberately chose to.

As far as “bloat” goes? Please. This board is a ghost town until I decide to grace it with my presence.

      • Clint Lenard says:

Not sure why it matters. More content on the site makes it better, IMO.

      • soonerjunky says:

I liked not having to click on the article

    • Malicong says:

If the problems at aTm had just started, I would believe this more. It really started in 2014 and prior. Allen and Murray were not the first to transfer nor the 1st QB’s to transfer. They lost something like 25% of one class to transfer before their 2nd year. Sumlin enabled his players (especially QB’s) to be asshats by over looking the under-aged drinking, going to hip-hop parties with them, and projecting a “swag” atmosphere. aTm is a dumpster fire and it isn’t going to change anytime soon.
This is a good read. Some people my not like the length but I don’t have a problem with it, FWIW.

      • King says:

I honestly would take most of it with a grain of salt except the Kyler stuff just because most of it is easily corroborated (and believable).

If you look at the decisions that were made with decommits and staff and such, that all seems pretty believable as well.

I don’t care about facts, I care about context, and there is a lot of that here. I can see the facts for myself.

      • Clint Lenard says:

Here’s the takeaway: Dallas BMA’s are a bunch of jerks, so Kyler gets lumped into that whole political shitstorm they’re blaming on Dallas…but to make it seem unbiased, they made sure to toss in a few “Houston was immature” a few times.

Does anybody not see that here? It’s a blame game by this insider who’s bashing the “Dallas BMA’s”, and because they backed Kyler he looks like an asshole.

Really silly “insider” garbage. Reminds me of some of the phony insiders on Rivals.

    • Clint Lenard says:

Something else to consider: Kyle Allen, a REAL “insider” stated that Sumlin let the players do whatever the hell they wanted, just like when Johnny Boozeball was their starting QB. I’d keep that in mind before even accepting 5% of this is legit.

      • KJ1123 says:

I read that article, it’s definitely not hard to believe. I don’t know Allen from Adam, but everything that’s happened to AM to this point seems to validate what he is saying.

        • RBear says:

I don’t know either but it’s not terribly difficult to construct a plot like this after the fact- just draft a rough outline of the series of events and insert a little dramatic license in between. I hope that’s the case anyway.

Too bad for aggie but oh well.

      • CcrBoomer says:

        Spot on!

      • King says:

Kyle Allen wasn’t any more liked than Kyler. In fact he was arguably worse because no one cared what Allen did. The only reason he went to TAMU was because of his unhealthy attachment to Spavital and because he wanted to get to the NFL like all those other kids recently did from TAMU.

        • Clint Lenard says:

It’s just mind-blowing how every QB that attends ATM and then transfers is not liked. That is amazing. Can’t possibly be the head coach, it’s just the 3-4 QB’s that suddenly transferred out.

          • King says:

I don’t get it either and I think it comes down to the culture. What separates the greats from the goods is a value system that a coach can convince players to buy into that he can then use to help them develop as players and men.

    • Boomer98 says:

Nonsense. I can personally attest that 3/4 of their examples are just fiction and nowhere near what happened. This is a BS hit piece attacking two kids that left. Period. Funny how Kyler “refused to play”, but then “cussed out” Spav after throwing an INT while he was playing. And Kevin demanded to be OC at a top 20 football power – and under a coach he doesn’t like at a school he feels turned their back on him – with no coaching experience at all?? Come on. Noil was suspended and others disciplined for voicing displeasure over their handling of Kyler – he was and still is very well liked. Half the issues came from the players wanting K1 over Allen all year – and Kylers locker was cleaned out by Kyler after the season and not by the players and “put outside”. This entire sour grapes BS personal article is comical at best – which is why it’s on Reddit for goodness sakes.

And, for the record, the “cuss out” session was brief – “I know. Leave me the f@ck alone.” in passing in response to Spav jumping him about a read. Should have never been said. Period. It was apologized for and he took his punishment. But there’s a reason that 50 cameras – including one always on Kyler playing or not – never caught this mysterious “huge sideline blowup”.

I’d recommend judging Kyler on what he does at OU and not on a random Reddit account or the uninformed noise blaming players that are no longer at the school that the noise is coming from.

      • King says:

You can’t personally attest to anything because you are a no one. All the reasons you just cited for not believing any of this could just as easily be cited for ignoring you.

And do you even know who Kevin Murray is? Until Manziel he was probably the most successful QB TAMU has ever had. He clown stomped all over Bo Jackson’s Auburn Tigers in the Cotton Bowl his first year starting and they hadn’t been to the Cotton Bowl in almost 19 years. He is a tremendously successful high school coach as well which gives him a lot of influence over recruiting in the state of Texas and runs one of the states top QB academies. Don’t think the guy can coach? His son is the highest rated prospect EVER.

Cuss out session was brief? It wasn’t a blow up? He cussed out his coach on national television….

        • Boomer98 says:

Kev’s a HS football coach? Does he know this? Lol. Not sure Kevin wouldn’t last 3 minutes on a staff – he definitely has a unique way of communicating that wouldn’t go over well which is why he runs Air 14 and does whatever the hell he wants.

And feel free to link to the video of Kyler cussing Spav out. I’ll wait.

And, yes, I’ve known Kevin, Missy and Kyler for many years. It’s the reason I felt the need to sign up for this site and add my two cents.

I’m really not interested in arguing about things on a message board. And by all means, feel free to ignore my comments for lack of whatever you wish. You seem firm in your opinions on here so I’ll leave you to them and wish you the best. Boomer Sooner.

          • King says:

Like make his kid the number one prospect of all time? Kyler took time off in the middle of spring baseball his senior year (just a night) to throw some footballs. Over 50 division college coaches showed up.

I think the guy know’s what he’s doing. He’s know more than Sumlin does that’s for sure. Sumlin’s football teams have been doormats unless Kinsbury was running them for him.

          • Boomer98 says:

            Boomer.

          • Boom says:

Did you work with Kyler on his QB skills?

          • Boomer98 says:

            Boomer

          • Boom says:

Thanks, didn’t mean to be nosy, just curious as I’ve heard good things about him. There is an ATM player who lives down the street from me and he said Kyler is a good guy.

    • Oscar says:

It was a game of “drop the soap” in the shower gone bad. Feelings were hurt, no follow-up thank you gifts were bought. No exchange of letter jackets or cleats on a chain. Mommies were called, and tears were shed.

  • Kelsta says:

I was in the smaller camp of hoping we didn’t take Murray. Team chemistry is so important and I was just afraid this kid would cause problems. I also said I trust the staff to make the right decision…I still do. I don’t believe everything I’ve read but ‘where there’s smoke, there’s likely fire’. Regardless of what happened, I would hope he’s learned some valuable lessons from his first year. He’ll have a year to grow and observe the ultimate competitor and teammate. I’m guessing Bob knows more about the details than we could ever hope to know. He won’t allow pissing contests from coaches, players, or donors.

    • Drew says:

I agree with “where there’s smoke, there’s fire,” but I would say that the fire is with the A&M program, not with Murray. If he was just being a premadonna about playing time, why would he leave after his main competition left as well?

      • RBear says:

Beat me to it- it’s a good sign that the kid fled the fire, he saw the consequences of what hanging around a&m could eventually lead to and got out while the getting was good- smart move IMO. I’ll give Murray the benefit of the doubt here.

      • ouwooferman says:

Boom. The shoe of reason just dropped. There is more wrong than right. I just dont buy into the UNNAMED sources comments. Until the AD or HC comes out and discusses the issues, it is all just supposition in my book. Not hard to believe, yet it is still just rumor mongering.

    • King says:

I think Murray is definitely a diva but TAMU enabled that. It’s the coaches job to turn these boys into men, not boys into larger immature versions of boys.

Manziel was a diva. Kenny Hill was a diva. Kyle Allen is a diva. Kyler Murray is a diva.

Manziel started off as a 3 star prospect with a chip on his shoulder, Kenny Hill started off as a next level athlete and camp competitor, Kyle Allen was leader and gunslinger, and Murray was arguably the best DT high school QB EVER….and they all turn into divas under Sumlin.

    • lovethemsooners says:

I also believe the players will police their own locker room. I look for them to show true leadership, and deal with any situation that may arise before any of the coaches have to. Hopefully the change in culture for Murray will eliminate any potential issues.

      • Jake says:

Multiple players in our 2016 recruiting class alone strike me as strong leaders that will positively reinforce OU culture.

    • TSFFKAG says:

Murray seems to be immature and self-centered person. Maybe someone can give him good reasons in his year “off” to reflect on personal development, the values of humility and team cohesion, and a pathway to behaving like a champion on and off the field. If not, then he will bring a lot of woes to the OU football program just as we are recovering from a lull and becoming national contenders again.

  • Mizuno45 says:

I’m sure Sumlin partying with Manziel while he was still on campus raised some eyebrows within their university ranks, and probably something he regrets now with the program falling apart

  • PlayLikeaChampion says:

Wow, reading the below it appears a&m is a mess, so I understand why 5 Star QB Kyler Murray transferred to OU.

Word is he has a NFL arm and one of the best athletes on the team now.

Hopefully, his redshirt will allow him to prosper into a Mayfield situation or better.

  • James says:

Forgive me for being a hall monitor for a second but I’ve noticed A LOT of back and forth, name calling and such going on these past few days. I get that everyone is entitled their own views and opinions but if this continues I’m afraid this board will end up just like all the others. I won’t name names but it seems like there are 2-3 posters that insist on being “bullies” or at the very least run around with a very negative, sharp stick. I would encourage you all to rise above it and keep this board great. #BoomerSooner #BeRespectful

  • Jim Casy says:

My understanding with Kelly (from Kelly in the other story) was that on
the day when he reached his snapping point, he did put both schools in a
hat and with his mom pulled a school out of the hat and it was
ND….and when it was ND, that is when he knew for sure that he wanted
to be SOONER… because of how he immediately felt when he drew ND. He was
    unexpectedly sad instead of happy.
That is literally the opposite of leaving a choice up to chance.

    • Nate Broadus says:

Precisely. Basically the story was, he thought he was about to draw Notre Dame from the hat and was not excited. Instead, he was bummed — that’s when he knew his heart was with OU.

Why did the posts from Boomer98 get removed by moderator? What he said seemed interesting and not inflamatory….

Edit** well looks like maybe it was a reply to King so maybe King got removed and took all the replies with it?

    • Jordan Esco says:

Not sure, I didn’t do it.

      • Krys Allen says:

It was the comment section about Murray and the A&M drama

      • Boomer4life says:

Hey Jordan! I just want to go on record that I am totally for freedom of speech….but have you seen what the King has been posting? I included one of his excerpts.

        • Jordan Esco says:

I saw it. Scrolled thru some others, didn’t really think it was a big deal. Then went to this person’s profile and the vast majority of comments I saw were, IMO, unnecessarily argumentative and/or included childish name-calling.

So while I prefer to try and be lenient w/ this type of thing, I’m also an adult and here free of charge. So my tolerance for stupid, petty, childish bulls#$% that I have to waste my time with is not high.

Thanks, Jordan. While I’m normally a live and let live kind of guy, y’all have managed to foster a family atmosphere here whether intended or not. Posts like his have no place here. I could go hang out on 4chan or reddit if I wanted to look at an unfortunate man eaten by a tiger or a keyboard warrior bragging about killing others. Ban much appreciated.

          • Jordan Esco says:

I agree wholeheartedly. It’s a testament to the people here that we’ve only had to deal with stuff like this a handful of times, so thanks to all of you for that.

contrary to what the gif may imply, I don’t really take any joy in it. frankly, i dislike even having had to waste five minutes of my life on it. like i’ve already said, it’s a credit to the vast majority of you here that i/we have had to do it so infrequently.

be respectful, don’t act like a jackass, and don’t talk about f’ing someone’s mother. general guidelines for the forum here and probably just good advice for everyday life 🙂

Perhaps the mods should look at the shite King has posted below. It’s definitely well below standards for any modded board and should be removed, if he shouldn’t be seeing the ban hammer soon.

  • Malicong says:

Looks like the hammer may have dropped. Whomever it is that took notice, thank you.

  • J. Brent Clark says:

I do appreciate the cryptic responses received on this subject. The suggestion is that because he did not sign a letter of intent with Oklahoma since national signing day, he may not come to Oklahoma for some reason. I don’t know what OU’s total is at this time but they may be holding a scholly for him. Information is scant.

Really cool movie. Of course, I’m a sucker for any type of monster movie.

Yeah, it got recommended to me on Netflix (which tells you something about what I watch). I thought it was a hoot.

        • rainydaze114 says:

Looks like the TV Sports Bubble is about to burst- the trickle-down to the college ranks shouldn’t be far behind. To me, this is a welcomed thing as things have spiraled entirely out of control.

You always bring good stuff to your posts and I appreciate it. I’m interested in how ESPN fairs with their investment in college football and especially SEC. Seemed like they tried to buy the market share. Their slow start to the ACC network is really making the ACC pres mad. Interested in seeing the shakeout.

How heartbreaking would that be for Mayfield to lose his spot to Murray.

Like seeing a kid from Monroe visit. That town puts out some talent. Been a Bama dominated area for awhile now. Keep workin da boot coaches!

  • Jordan Esco says:

Anybody else think that’s Quick playing corner vs. Todd?

    • KJ1123 says:

Good call….does look like him a bit.

    • rainydaze114 says:

Maybe Austin too… they both have that hair.

      • Jordan Esco says:

Yeah, I just think that guy looks too big to be Austin. I mean Todd is not a small guy and at the end of that video you kind of see the two of them right next to one another. And IMO if it were Austin it would be WAY clear b/c of how tiny he is.

But I could definitely be wrong.

    • Soonerfandave84 says:

Looks like it, glad to see Todd going up and making a play. Going to need someone who can do that this season.

  • Birddawg says:

    I hate DIS/Keystone… 🙂

  • Jordan Esco says:

I tried to zoom in on my monitor and now I do think it’s Austin, not Quick, fwiw.

    • rainydaze114 says:

Finally, I was right about something. Sorta… maybe.

    • Clint Lenard says:

I don’t know, Quick wears his hair up like the video appears. Never seen Austin like that. I also don’t see the red highlights that are more obvious on Austin.

Geez, feels like I’m talking about chicks… hair up, highlights. OU NEEDS SOME DAMN MEN.
