– OU Spring Evaluations: Some recent visits of note on the part of the OU coaching staff:

Marvin Wilson & Walker Little: Yesterday, Oklahoma DC Mike Stoops stopped by to see 2017 DT Marvin Wilson and 2017 OT Walker Little. Wilson is still expected to visit OU sometime before the season, while Little is thought to be really focused on Stanford, Texas, & Ole Miss.

Grant Delpit & Anthony Cook: OU also stopped by to see 2017 safety Grant Delpit and 2018 CB Anthony Cook. Delpit recently included the Sooners in his Top 10, however most feel, as a NOLA native, he’s a likely LSU lean. Meanwhile Cook is a primary CB target for OU (and just about everyone else)Β in the 2018 class and recently visited Norman, where he was offered on the spot.

Earnest Brown & Javaris Steward: Earlier this week the Sooners also stopped by to see 2017 DE Earnest Brown and 2017 OLB Javaris Steward. Brown visited OU for a Jr. Day and enjoyed his time in Norman. However, academics were a huge emphasis in his recruiting and earlier this spring, he visited then committed to Northwestern.

Stephan Zabie: Yesterday both Bill Bedenbaugh and Calvin Thibodeaux stopped by to see 2017 OT Stephan Zabie (Austin, TX).

K’Jakyre Daley: DBs coach Kerry Cooks visited with 2017 DE/OLB K’Jakyre Daley (West Palm Beach, FL) yesterday, who seems extremely interested in Oklahoma. We will have more on Daley in the coming days.

Jaylen Twyman: We’ve got a new defensive tackle name for you, as OU is expected to visit with 2017 DT Jaylen Twyman (Washington, D.C.) later today. After which we’re hoping to have more on exactly how things went. But with WR and DB positions pretty much set in this 2017 class, the Sooners are looking to really attack defensive line recruiting hard in the coming weeks.

Nelson Mbanasor: Earlier today, Calvin Thibodeaux met with 2017 DE Nelson Mbanasor (Pflugerville, TX), who (as many of you know) is the younger brother of OU cornerback, PJ Mbanasor. The younger Mbanasor is a legit 6’3″ 250 and already holds a number of in-state offers like SMU, Houston and North Texas. He is also more of a hybrid DE/DT, so he would seem to be an ideal fit for OU’s current defensive front scheme.
