Jeffrey Okudah: Elite 2017 DB Jeffrey Okudah let TFB know that Oklahoma made a return visit to see him on Monday.
Stephan Zabie: The 2017 OT tells TFB that he expects Oklahoma to stop by for a return visit today.
Akial Byers: The 2017 DT tells TFB that he also expects Oklahoma to stop by today. As you all know, Byers visited Norman in March and holds an OU offer. Byers has not yet received an offer from his in-state program (Arkansas), but does hold an offer from Alabama. – (Super K)
– Isaiah Pryor: We have some interesting news regarding 2017 safety and Ohio State commit, Isaiah Pryor (IMG Academy). TFB has been told that Pryor is planning visit Oklahoma for the entire first week of June and will be in attendance for the Sooners ‘elite’ summer camp.
You may recall Pryor has been to Norman previously, but getting him back in Norman for such an extended period of time can only be a good thing. We have also been told Pryor’s younger brother plans to join on the trip and attend the camp as well. – (Brandon)
– Kenneth Murray: If you missed it yesterday, the Sooners offered 2017 OLB Kenneth Murray (Missouri City, TX). And based on his tweet below, it sounds like you’d have to believe OU has a decent shot with regards to his recruitment.

It truly isn’t a shot. It is desperate man keeping very low expectations as a defense mechanism so that he doesn’t have to feel the pain when things don’t go well. He constantly downplays OU so that when things do go well he can feel the joy of that moment, but in the mean time sucks every bit of joy from those of us who want the expectations to be high for OU.
The thing is it is possible to have high expectations but also be understanding when people don’t reach those expectations. I think that is called maturity.

USC is still recovering from sanctions and from a drunk coach. ACC is Clemson and FSU. This year will tell of North Carolina is any good.
Big 12. Baylor, OU, OSU, TCU are all programs that have been in contention for playoff births consistently. That is realistic and the truth.
If you hate the Big 12 so much then go jump on a SEC team site and have some fun but you need to get at least some facts to go with your thoughts.

Valid point, the coaches know who is actually worth the time/has interest. I’m sure if Wilson isn’t genuinely interested they’ll pick up on it right away. Imo if he was really interested he would of made it to campus by now.

I agree, Wilson seems to really like the SEC and I’m sure they tell him everyday that he fits the mold for a “SEC” DT. That said, I don’t think we should stop pursuing until we’re ruled out. Greg Rogers seems way more likely though.
But giving up is the Stephen Dale way. If you are average just remain average. Don’t go for what is best, because there is no way OU will ever be great again unless it is the SEC. Never-mind that ohio state was down and in a very weak conference but somehow bounced back, OU can’t do it. We are all crazy to think that any player would ever want to come to OU.
Now I agree that we have a much better chance with Rogers but you don’t quit talking to Wilson because that would communicate that you are program that quits when things don’t seem to go your way. You are always giving a perception to people and that perception is reality. OU chasing the best says that you believe you are the best.

Fact is we are still talking about adding programs that do nothing for the Big 12. OU and OSU make sense to the SEC.

I’m following this conference expansion stuff on several different sites, some of which aren’t affiliated with OU or the Big 12 at all. There is little to no talk of OU to the SEC at this time, and none of OU and OSU going there together. OSU isn’t going with OU to the Big 10 or the SEC. Just not happening as things sit today. And OU (Boren) want nothing to do with the SEC. It’s stay in the Big 12 or go to the Big 10 at this point, and nothing else.
Not trying to be rude, but OU isn’t going to the SEC, for a variety of reasons. The only people that think that is a good fit are the OU fans that simply want to play in the same conference as the Bama’s and LSU’s. Which is funny, b/c those are the same OU fans that refuse to admit that the SEC is the best football conference at the current time.
And the schools the Big 12 might add, absolutely “add something”. Problem is, it’s just not what OU fans want them to add.
I assume what Boren wants is for OU to make as much money as possible and going to the SEC does that. Might not ever go, I am fine with staying in the Big 12 but if the plan is to add 2 programs (that everyone believes are possible to add) to an already less thought of Power 5 Conference then making more than the 25 million it makes now won’t change ever.

They are still using zone blocking, the key are the guards. If you have non athletic guards they wont be to successful running the zone. They need to be able to over take blocks, cut defenders off and get up to the second level. B has to get them all on the same page and firing on all cylinders early in camp.

With his total non-participation, one-year suspension AND what the university did to Frank Shannon, I think enough punishment has been served and sufficient PC bona fides have been displayed by the Admin.
This may sound like a stupid excuse, but it’s reality. This all happened before the RR incident hit the media. Up until that point, domestic violence had never been viewed the way it does today. At the time, the suspension Mixon served, plus the community service hours were a harsh enough penalty. Had this incident happened last month then he would be gone so fast.

Creeping lol! Na been on here watching and seeing what everyone has been saying just havent had much input. Been doing some study on some of the area recruits and how this class is shaping up. But also been working a lot and been helping my parents out as my mom has a knee replacement surgery coming up soon and so I’ve been back home almost every weekend helping them with stuff.
Cool and good luck to your mom. Mine just had a hip at 86 and she’s doing pretty good. Pains gone so hope for the same outcome for your mom.

Therapist here Brien. Make sure she does here rehab, she doesn’t want it to tighten up or she will need it manipulated and that will be worse. If she has a good surgeon she should do relatively well with a speedy recovery, she just need to do her therapy. Good luck with the surgery.

I like hitchs approach but when he was in Dalla they let them play,not so much these days.
Same system he’s always employed really. It pretty much works but the defensive grind takes its toll on a player through the course of the season- he won a cup with the Stars but for the most part, his system is too hard on players to last an entire season. Just not my kind of hockey.

Sooner!! We had a boomer for 7 years. Had to put him down way too early. Was tough.
So even though I’ve been gone, been looking a lot at the HS players in the state of Oklahoma and came up with these names of kids we should sign from in state. Some of which are already committed. Draper, Brown, and Broiles. And a few I know have offers they all may but, this is a deep year in the state IMO and the following kids I hope we land. Creed Humphrey, Nick Robinson, Isaiah Thomas, Deontre Thomas (Nuebraska Commit) and Brock Martin LB from Oologah he could be an under the radar type kid of like Lehman was. Of course a lot of real nice national recruits out there but, love the state kids a lot this year!
Teddy played before the “Rivals era”. If you coached or played HS football against him, you knew he was going to be great.
Well I can’t disagree with that Dustin as I hear a lot about him coming out! He was a stud for sure! But, I think what I meant was Martin doesn’t do the camps like some other guys by what I understand so he could be that special IMO.
Brock is very athletic, I know his family and hope we get a shot at him.
Well I know we have some real studs on OUr radar this year at LB but, he would be a good one by what I have seen so hope the coaches give him a chance!
