– Isaiah Thomas: As TFB previously reported, 2017 DE/OLBΒ Isaiah Thomas (Tulsa, OK) confirmed over the weekend plans to announce his commitment on Saturday, May 28th.

The schools that seem to be in play for Thomas include: OU, Ok State, Alabama, Baylor & Missouri; all schools he visited. And of those schools, Oklahoma is the only one in contention to receive more than one visit.

Great despite work. Just finished this years remodeling project at the house….third and last bathroom WHEW> We have taken to raising Monarch Butterflies. In the last two months 31 have transformed…really cool.

Yeah, we are now into the second generation (may, June). Third generation is july Aug. The fourth generation comes in Sept Oct. and is the generation that migrates to Mexico from all over the US and parts of Canada. They live up to 8 mths. All other generations only live 2-6 weeks.
I’ve seen the migration before. It’s pretty amazing to see
Driving on a dirt road somewhere between Mcalester and Durant in the 90’s we ran into a swarm so large that we had to stop and let them cross the road by the millions as they headed South. It was awe inspiring and so beautiful! The driver said he saw them every summer and acted nonchalant, LOL. I thought it was cool as heck!!

Those are a resistance breathing training mask (or something close to that) used to aid in recovery time.

I read up on it all a few years ago. The idea behind the mask was to limit oxygen intake to the same degree that one might experience at higher altitudes. There was information out there from various sources, most of which contradicted each other. Some of it talked of promoting quicker recovery times and some even talked about enhanced muscle building. I’m sure a lot has changed and someone here knows a lot more about it than I do.
they are elevation masks. Never heard of it enhancing muscles but it does help with not getting as tired as you normally would. Helps condition the lungs
It’s not for muscles. It’s for “elevated” training but Athletes use them a lot now (especially HUNH offenses). Lungs are easily trainable and with all the new technology it doesn’t shock me one bit that the number is increasing.
They are absolutely training masks. I wear one when I do high intensity cardio (remember I was a PT for 5 years) and they help train the lungs to take in as much oxygen. My friend (who’s a smoker) used mine for 46 seconds on battle ropes before almost passing out. They are intense for anyone! I feel like BANE when I wear mine ?

The eyes are usually followed by a commitment within a week. Or something even larger will happen later down the road with recruiting. That’s been the trend so far, at least. We shall see if it continues.

A Ford E series van will carry fifteen. Probably want to go there before the school bus. Mine with the V-10 got about 15 MPG which is not great until you realize you carried the same as four cars so you were in effect getting 60 MPG.

The wife is doing better. We moved into an apartment so that I don’t have a 35 mile commute if she needs help. She’s home now and getting used to the new digs. Still weak, but seems to be improving.

Not much. School is out in 7 days. My wife and my youngest are going to NYC: school trip. I will officially start vacationing in two weeks.

Even guys who predict these type of things seem to be having trouble predicting where he’s going. He seems like a really great kid. Very respectful Does OU got a chance with him at all?
He’s been quite lately. A couple of kids at the camps were talking saying he was over rated and he didn’t earn his camp awards. So he’s been working hard to shut the haters up in the fall. Im still confident he will be on board this fall. He’s graduating early so his decision may come before football season. Im sure him and his dad will visit his top schools one more time this summer.

Remember the good ol’ days, when we would get an Open Post, and then a few updates would usually follow? Man, I miss those days. Only 530 gazillion days until the season starts!
It’s only about 15 weeks until opening day. We can always talk about expansion, stadium construction, prospective booms and Texsa Sucks! until then.
Heck, texsa sucks could take a hundred threads and not exhaust the subject.
I’m so ready for the season it’s not even funny. I was only planning on making the tOSU game, but with the baby sis graduating from UH this year, my parents offered to cover my expenses for the trip so I’ll be there week 1. I’m so excited.
Me too, I am so ready. I watched the 1977 game (then posted it on the daily news). Talk about moxy, those teams had it.
I’m always on YouTube watching old games. Those games against Nebraska were INSANE. I’m glad we have a home and home with them. The first college football game (I remember going to) was an OU Texas game and the guy who got the tickets for my pops and I was an OU alum, so he tossed me an OU hat, OU won and that’s when I became a Sooner.
My first game was in the 60’s, a TX/OU game. I thnk my first game in Norman was a OU/KU game.
That’s awesome! The first game in Norman for me, was 03 against UCLA only because my dad went to UCLA, like I’ve said before. OU smoked them and the atmosphere was insane. I honestly chose our school because I fell in love with the football. I know that’s not a legit reason to choose a school, but with my family owning our own finance business I knew I just needed that piece of paper, so I followed my heart.

OU Tennis tied up 3-3. Deciding match is in the 3rd set. As a former collegiate tennis player, this is intense.
It will be a short celebration if OU wins. After losing Harris for most of the season, the chance to face UVA in the final again would be surreal.
