– Marvin Wilson: The other day I spoke to one of the coaches on staff at Episcopal where 2017 prospects DT Marvin Wilson and OT Walker Little play. And while an exact date has not been set up, the coach confirmed that Wilson, and likely Walker as well, are expected to visit Oklahoma sometime in the near future. I was told it’s just a matter of scheduling the right weekend.
Wilson has visits to Texas A&M and Ole Miss already lined up, but this coach mentioned the staff & Wilson are in regular communication with new OU defensive line coach, Calvin Thibodeaux. Interestingly enough, the position coach at Episcopal told me that he and Thibodeaux actually attended the same middle school together.
Also a note of interest. Like most commits from a particular school, SoonerSquad17 has their own group text message where they all communicate with one another. And I suspect to no one’s surprise, Marvin Wilson is included among those on said group text. – (Super K)
– Jhamon Ausbon: As we previously reported, 2017 WR Jhamon Ausbon (IMG Academy by way of Houston, TX) let us know he will be visiting Oklahoma today. And if you didn’t see it Tuesday evening, Ausbon had been committed to Baylor for some time but just announced his decision to decommit. – (Super K)
https://twitter.com/TheJhamonAusbon/status/714990145347301380
– Hunter Bryant: A relatively new name to know among potential 2017 targets is that of TE Hunter Bryant (Sammamish, WA), who let TFB know last night the OU staff has reached out lately and, according to Bryant, are “very close to offering.”
Bryant said he would definitely be interested in the Sooners. “That would be a huge offer for me.” – (Super K)
– UPDATE (3:07 pm):
Star WR, @TheJhamonAusbon planned to visit #Oklahoma today but tells me, due to weather issues he is unable to do so. He hopes to reschedule

But seriously music to my ears about Marvin wilson!
As always thanks Super K
You got it! Thanks for reading!

BOOMERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOONERRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SOONERRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wazzup, the metzker?
Just work, Slim.
I had to come in out of the rain. 🙂
Man we need some rain!
Not a bummer. Dry here.
Hope you get some soon.
Bummer.
Gotta pay for the shiny stuff ya know!
Great news Mr. Wilson aka #AllOnes is going to come up to Norman. We haven’t gotten a stud DT of this value since Mr McCoy. I really want to see Greg Rogers come for a visit. We could easily need 3 maybe 4 DTs with none last year. Hoping Deiontae Watts comes on board too. Boomer
Walker, Overton, Lampkin, Gallimore are studs.
Those guys are studs but not on the level of Mccoy or Wilson. Mccoy was a consensus top 10 national recruit. Wilson is #1 overall on some sites.
I was referring to a 5⭐️ But yes they will do well I’m sure. Walker is going pro so we need to stockpile DTs.
Hunter Bryant looks awesome! Hard to bring down ?
Super stiff arms has this one!
Like a bowling ball through pins.
Mark in VA is a Bad-A. Good day, sir!
Bad Moon II better step up, his spot might be taken
Was just thinking the same thing.
Anyone know if Wilson and Little are looking to play together? Or is this just a case of Wilson trying to help get his buddy’s name out there?
Looking at their highlights I’d take Ausbon over Rison. That size and physicality from Ausbon stands out for a HS junior.
Interesting that Bryant is called a TE. Big inside receiver is what I would call him based on film. Good looking player.
Probably because he’s 6’3″, 240, roughly the same measurable as Andrews.
Would be deadly in this offense.
According to the roster on soonersports we have no TE’s. Andrews and Conner Knight are both listed at WR.
I’ve noticed that.
I think the division now is inside and outside WR. In Riley’s offense it looks like passing catching is the first concern blocking comes in second. I think we will see more guys like Andrews and Bryant and fewer of the tackle with soft hands TE.
Won’t hurt my feelings if they have good hands.
Yeah, if you want the old style TE just find the linemen with the best hands and set him out there in the big boy sets. Kind of like we did with Sam Grant last year.
Bryant looks like a perfect fit for us!
Yep, I’m just wondering about his blocking skills if needed.
Looks like he can hold his own to me.
there’s been some comments re the dt in mustang…….if he’s worthy, I hope they aren’t making the mistake of overlooking the home talent while chasing the shiny objects
I’m from Mustang. From what I understand he didn’t really pick up steam until halfway through the season and he was basically a nonfactor in their tougher games (Tulsa Union for example).
Mr. Bryant is all about the 5-yard out route life. Good looking, player!

Good stuff Super K. OSU fan but love the content you bring. Always great info on the recruiting front!
You’re 1 step closer to converting to an OU fan, Kyle.
1. You removed your profile pic
2. Now, you need to shred your OSU fan card
3. Save Rudolph
http://i.imgur.com/lqEd7RA.gif
Ha ha! Had too many friends at work that recognized me loitering on here. Don’t read too much into it 😉
But Rudolph though…
That .gif will live forever.
Unfortunately/fortunately, yes. Lol!
Nothing ever disappears from the Internet. You can always find it at http://archive.org/web/ if you can’t find it anywhere else.
Trust me, if it starts to fade away we wont let it die.
We promise to preserve it for your legacy.
make it go away
are you a paddle person?
Ha, no… That gif has nothing to do with me except we are both OSU fans.
Embarrassing! as Jordan Thomas takes the pick to da house!
Kyle, you actually make me pause before mocking OSU fans you’re such a good poster here. Not long, but I do pause.
I’ll take it, Bob. Just enjoy being on here and conversing with the group. Always a pretty welcoming place (for the most part!)
You’ve got nerves of steel. I appreciate your input even though your background is extremely sketchy.
Ha ha .. thanks, Mojo. Sports are just sports, after all.
Yeah, Kyle is a good guy, BUT………..

Wow, lol.
“Hey, nice marmot.”
That’s a terrible looking growth on the belly of that porcupine.
Growth? I thought that was porcupine poop.
That, my friend, is a better response than the pic is.
That is incredible.
You guys got a huge pick up with the commitment of WR Tylan Wallace , I really wanted him to be a Sooner.
We needed that man. Desperately. OU has been raking on the recruiting trail. I think it had a lot to do with his brother having a chance to play with him at the same school.
IMO, Marvin Wilson is the most important guy out there not yet on SS17. Get him, Lampkin, and Gallimore in a rotation? Now we’re talkin’!
Dear Calvin Thibodeaux,
If you bring in Marvin Wilson any questions about your recruiting will be forgotten. At least for a week, we are OU fans after all.
Calvin pulling that off would be much appreciated by the OU Fandom.
media.giphy.com/media/1W7D973oSt4C4/giphy.gif
Yeah, but he would break our string of all 4* recruits. 😉
I have a forgiving nature.
I’m sure the recruiting sites would strip his 5th star if he were to “settle” for a lowly, non-SEC program. HA
Adam . I see what you mean… Angela `s st0ry is neat, on wednesday I bought a gorgeous Nissan GT-R: from having earned $8376 this-last/5 weeks and even more than 10 grand last-munth . this is certainly my favourite work I‘ve ever done . Well, Super K, I’d have to say that’s a:

Not much to go on but I guess its a step up from attending the same Kindergarten class.
That’s at least a semi-factual statement. Nice job, Fear!

“We used to say up front we were going to kick your ass,” Tubbs told me a few years back, and that’s the way Oklahoma played the game, repeatedly….hell yeah
What’s the time for the spring game? I’m trying to balance my fatherly duties in the first year both kids are playing sports…
1400.
Mr. Kamm is correct. Here is the link for all of your info (I think). http://www.soonersports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?ATCLID=210650691
Do kids get in free?? Or what’s the age that they start charging? I’m trying to shape them into future sooner AA.. LOL
5 and under or members of the Sooner Kids Club.
Thanks kamm
Do you know where to find info on the sooner kids club? I couldn’t find anything on it before..
really? i bought a ticket for my 5 year old lol. Oh well, its only 5 bucks, ill just give it to someone at the stadium.
Just a suggestion – you might offer it to the VA hospital there in Norman, or to a recruiter at the Recruiting Substation. It used to be near Sooner Mall. If anyone wants to buy an extra & offer it too those guys and gals, I’m sure it will be appreciated.
But then, I’m a bit preferential towards that group, so…
5 and under or members of the Sooner Kids Club.
Ok, I’ll read the link I sent you for the info, it says “OU Kids Club members will also receive complimentary admission.”
Funny!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yea that was the third time I saw that page today… Crazy thing is no mention to The question I asked..
Ausbon is the best receiver in the nation. The dozen kids placed above him are not on his level. He has an NFL sized body as junior. He’s the next Laquan Treadwell. He and Wilson should be our top priorities.
Great hands, good blocker, good routes, the only thing it looks like is holding him back on the rankings stuff is speed. My guess he is a 4.5 guys which is plenty fast, but the services love those 40 times more than actually playing the game IMO.

Only 6 ‘ships available as it stands now.
Unfortunately I think we will be losing a few underclassmen to the draft next year. That will open up a few more.
This could most certainly be the case. My numbers are based solely on current scholarship count and graduating seniors. Also, there could be some transfers for any number of reasons, which would up the number a bit. Time will tell.
Don’t we have 22 student scholarship seniors, and Byrd left or am too dumb to count correctly?
We currently have 15 scholarship seniors, 82 total. That gives us 18 available ‘ships at the moment. I could see 3 juniors leaving for the draft (4 if you count Samaje, which I don’t). The only redshirt sophomores I could even begin to see leaving would be Orlando and Joe, but I don’t think either will.
Let’s hope we can land a few more than 6 guys. This class is awesome already, but I could easily think of 8-10 more guys I really want and think we actually have a chance at.

It’s actually 7. I missed Paul leaving. There are always transfers and guys leaving early for the draft so who knows what the final number will be?

I knew what you were getting at I was just thinking we will take more than 7 more due to the fact that the coaches will surely anticipate losing a few underclassmen to the draft. They will also be counting on the annual transfer due to lack of playing time, dismissed due to team rules violations, and the new one, going to spend more time concentrating on baseball either at OU or somewhere else.
Closer to 16, actually
Based on what?
Based on multiple reports from TFB and other sites that this class will have 27-28 signees
That’s cool. I had read something similar, also, but that would require at least a half dozen transfers. Not saying there won’t be, I’m just not gonna speculate or start any rumors. On an unrelated note, who upvotes their own comment? Seriously. 😉
Um,SD?
I really want his middle name to be Thomas.
Nice one.
The “doubting” kind?
STD.
LOL.
I did that one time on accident.
We have lost a couple lately. Probably more to come.
Make that 7. Forgot about Joseph Paul leaving.
Can you clear this up?
I forgot to delete his name from my scholarship database. My bad.
Does that include Byrd?
Wouldn’t Byrd have been gone either way after next season? Trying to remember if he was to be a senior or junior,
That’s right will be a senior with a RS year available. So I guess it would.

It includes no more Byrd.
Does that include Byrd?
How many times have you asked a doctor this question?
Once,many years ago!
Just checking. I want TFB to be a clean environment.

TEXSA SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
AND IT HURTS!!!!!!
AND IT HURTS!!!!!!
Driving in my truck Texsa sucks.
Let’s not enjoy this too much. Shake and Bake is only one hit away from OU probably being out of the top 25.
Even if it’s whorn, I take no pleasure in a player being injured.
Not to mention the Heisman.

Jhamon Ausbon come on downnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Price is wrong, Bob
update added
The weather? As in the rainbows that A&M is blowing up his a**?
Well, aTm it is for jahmon. we got Rison
We don’t have Rison yet.
not yet…even if he decides not to, i think we are in good shape at WR. time for DL work
Seen we offered RB Cam Akers this week. Man he looks hard to tackle!!
http://www.hudl.com/athlete/2761306/highlights/314954380
He’s a one man offense.
Well speaking of “one man offenses” he does remind me a bit of De’Mond Parker.
I’ve been looking at this Nova team and I was curious what makes this team so good. Villanova hardly ever gets beat in the turnover battle. Even when we smoked them we still committed 14 turnovers to their 9. They also shoot free throws very well. They went 18-19 against Kansas and 18-19 against Miami. Even their bigs shoot free throws pretty decent. The three ball seems to be their kryptonite. They can shoot the three well, but in their losses they shot the 3 around 30%. It seems like Hart who is their 6 foot 6 240lb forward is their X factor.
If we can keep our turnovers down, take good shots, and defend their 3 ball well and rebound we should win. If this game turns into a free throw shooting contest however, we are in trouble. We can’t foul this team and send them to the line.
We will be fine. We really need Woodard to play well ( not get into foul trouble) and for cousins to give us a good game. the turnovers are too costly for us to have 15 of them in each of the previous two games. Buddy is obviously going to need to have a good game for us to win. I think we win by 7 points or more, honestly.
Limit second chance points and OU should win this game. (And the NCG too)
Nice analysis. Thanx!
Supposedly it’s a lot harder to shoot 3’s in NRG Stadium owing to the fact that it’s a basketball court set up in the middle of a pro football stadium. I imagine it will affect Villanova just as much, though, if this is true.
I don’t know how it would be harder with the rim being just as high and just as wide. Unless there’s wind inside of the dome causing a shift in the ball how could it be any different?
It’s more to the brain processing different depths of the surroundings of the hoops that usually causes the shooting percentages to drop. I’m not so sure that wind plays a factor considering they have a retractable roof, and I doubt it will be open. Good thing Buddy practiced on worse back home so his shooting should be fine 🙂
Maybe so but these guys shoot hundreds a day. They will have time to get acclimated. I bet Buddy could still drill them blindfolded.
I’m not doubting our team at all! But there’s no denying that playing in a football stadium that’s almost 3x the size of most college basketball arenas makes a difference. Like you said, our boys will have time to get adjusted so again, I’m not worried.
Last time we beat Villanova, it wasn’t in a traditional arena either.
Perspective and depth perception. The stands aren’t set up like a normal arena or basketball court, so the visual cues in the background that help give a shooter a sense of distance to the basket are different.

This article gets into the why a bit more: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/ncaab-the-dagger/why-the-final-four-venue-may-be-north-carolina-s-biggest-advantage-214625773.html
even if we dont land ausbon, im just happy baylor isnt getting him. Him and rison would sure put the ! on this WR class though.
There is one problem with this class so far. Their average weight is 198 lbs. We need to get some big boys to bring that up.
Bob, I decided to look back on the size of the Switzer era lines. I was amazed at how small the linemen were. At the time they all seemed large to me, but not by today’s standards, not even close.
I remember Mark Hutson was considered huge because he weight over 300 lbs. Now days that is typical for a OL at OU.
300 pounders are typical 6A HS – how times have changed.
The norm then was between 250-275. A few was larger, not many.
Saw Buddy Buckets is 17 points shy of breaking Wayman’s single season points record. Pretty amazing
Its 4:09 and texsa sucks, nice job today TFB and tfbers Metz out————
You’re such a tease Metz!
Dang, I just now get here; and you are bailing – I saw what you guys did waiting for the OP, but there was not nearly enough texsa bashing. And where were the suggestions on what to paint the field? I am disappointed in not finding at least one suggestion of “texsa sucks” for the field.
She needs me to hold those while she reaches for whatever it is she’s reaching for.
What a tease!! Come on Metz!!
Lady if you’re going to drown those two puppies, could I have one?
Very nice Metz!!
Finally took time to watch the interview Jalen Reagor gave, he is fired up to be Shep’s replacement and says it is a plan to have the top receiver group in the country. Him and the others want to leave a legacy at OU. Good to hear players talk that way.
He’s funny! The reporter asked him if he was catching any blowback for decommitting from tech and he said “nah I’m a social media guy. It’s just block. That’s all it is.”
Also asked about what his dad thinks about him committing to OU instead of Tech where he played. “My Dad? Nah…..he’s all BOOMER SOONER!”
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
It was (is) good stuff.
He also said Sheperd as an influence of his (among many others) but said “he doesn’t have great top end speed but yeah I look up to him”
SWAG! LOL!!!
Can’t find what you’re talking about. You have a link? TIA.

Ah, I don’t hit rivals so that explains it.
Thanks a ton, man! That was awesome. Like the guy a lot!
Coach Stoops talking up the BBallers.
http://bit.ly/1TjjwEG
I like the way Coach Stoops and the football team are rallying around the men’s Hoops team.
I love the support that the BB team is getting. Buddy is absolutely Buddy Loved on the campus as well as by the Sooner nation. What a great representative.
Bet you a box of doughnuts not a single other HFBC from the other schools said a thing to their BBall team. I freaking love the cross-sport support from both players and coaches at OU.
I purchased my flight for the tOSU game yesterday. Max and I will be there. I’d like to hook up with as many TFBers as possible. Where can we meet up?
Sam, you would need to ask someone who is going. I’ll be watching from my man cave.
Ah, man!
Dang it!!!
Everybody meet at Ray’s!!!
Bring food.
Lots of beef.
I might be able to go. Way too early to tell. If I can’t get tickets, I would be happy with tailgaiting all day long.
My girl is starting her Engineering degree at OU this fall, maybe my wife will talk me into a road trip that weekend. I’m sure she will already be missing her by then. 🙂
Sounds good to me. Let’s keep it out there.
Let me know. We will be there. Hotel recommendations?
I’ll probably just do Legends. Convenience and proximity. Plus I’ve been gone so long I don’t know where else to stay.
Thanks, MoJo.
I’ve only stayed at Walker Tower. I’m assuming they will be booked solid next fall.
I’m gonna try to make it. Tickets are the only obstacle and I figure for that game I’m willing to stubhub it.

Sooner Softball about to start on FSOk. against the Cowgirls for a bedlam kickoff to the BigXII season.
Gonna watch a little.
Sooner Softball starting batting line-up has an impressive average. The lowest BA is Nicole Pendley at .329, with 2 hitters over 400.
Had to tune away to watch a tornado going to the South of me, appears we scored three while I wasn’t watching.
Spring time in Oklahoma. Those clouds do tend to spin. Always gotta be aware of the weather.
If we can pull this guy in, maybe bring David King back and line them up against each other

Wow, 3 HR’s to score 7 in the 5th to run rule the Reindeerettes! Way to go Sooners!
Awesome!
