Sooners No. 3 In Latest CFP Rankings

In a somewhat surprising development, Oklahoma jumped four spots and ahead of both Notre Dame & Iowa to No. 3 in the latest edition of the CFP rankings announced Tuesday evening.

Both OU players and coaches alike were quick to take to social media following the announcement making it clear this No. 3 ranking means nothing if they don’t take care of business Saturday night in Stillwater.

But what say you, Sooner Nation? How surprised are you by this No. 3 ranking?

I could not be anymore shocked if you pulled a sailboat out of my arse

  • STL Sooner says:

Just win baby (leave no doubt)!
That is the ONLY thing we can control.
    BOOMER

  • Matthew Stevens says:

Really surprised by this. Thought MAYBE 4th but definately not 3rd

  • Jerry Reid says:

    Take care of business baby

  • Greg says:

Now doesn’t everyone feel stupid for wasting all of that emotional energy worrying….

  • Matthew Stevens says:

Can not WAIT to go to the bedlam game this weekend!

  • ICommentOnThings says:

My response was.. ho-ly-f**. Did NOT expect this. (In a good way, of course.) With a brand new OC, new QB, true freshmen at o-line and a secondary that was roasted last year – to say my expectations were tempered would be an understatement.

Yes. We need to take care of business next week.

But WHOA. Top 3 in the country after the debacle of last year?

    BOOMER.

  • STL Sooner says:

It does make you wonder how a win that left many of us feeling as if it was a loss, is so impressive to the committee.
All I take from it is, who knows what the final ranking will look like in 2 weeks, regardless of the outcome of the games.

  • KatyOUdad says:

Can you post some of the twitter responses by the coaches and players for those of us that do not tweet?

  • Boomer4life says:

    Hell 2 the yeah!

  • rphokc says:

    surprised?…….very

  • Mizuno44 says:

    Thank you playoff committee…

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

I think our boys will be even more motivated now that they control their own destiny.

  • Jesse says:

Very surprised.. I feel like only Bama and Clemson truly control their destiny at this point. Pumped OU came in @ 3 but now nervous because this is the same spot TCU was sitting last year and we all remember what happened there.

    • Zack says:

Iowa does too. And I would like to think ou does at this point.

      • Sooner Ray says:

I would hate to be on the bubble during the bye week. If we are at 3 or better next week, I’ll feel better.

        • Zack says:

I can’t see how we would drop if we beat osu but this committee couldn’t do anything to surprise me. Bob just better have this team on fire and we need to go get it done Saturday.

    • Don Carmichael says:

Iowa controls their destiny. They’re unlikely to win out, but if they do, they’ll be in. An undefeated P5 will get in, even if they’re not very good.

We’re sitting a bit better than TCU, because we play a top 10 team next week, and also because our main competition also does not have a title game.

    • Clint Lenard says:

TCU isn’t (and wasn’t) a Blue Blood team. That’s why they didn’t get the benefit of the doubt. Right now I feel like they’re trying to get all blue blood teams in the top 4. Iowa can and probably will lose this weekend.

      • Jon Nakata says:

agreed. The committe only left Iowa at 4 because they are without a loss. Everyone fully expects them to lose the B1G championship and fall at least 5 spots.

      • DrewChubbs says:

Even if Iowa doesn’t lose this weekend to Nebraska, I personally don’t see them being able to beat Meechigan State. As I see it, the Big 10 winner is in, Bama is in, and Clemson is in, assuming they win out in the ACC. We need to handle our business in front of us (preferably convincingly), root for Stanford to beat the Domers, and keep our fingers crossed the committee doesn’t make up some reason to drop us out.

  • Kevin Burger says:

I’m both happy and suspicious of sensationalist behavior on the committee’s part.

    • ND52 says:

I think by these rankings the playoff committee is saying to OU, “we’ll really be watching bedlam this week”!

      • Sooner Ray says:

The Game Day show being there won’t hurt us in that regard.

        • ND52 says:

Could go either way. The spotlight can make or break us in the committee’s eyes.

We need an eight team playoff: the power 5 conference champs plus three at-large teams or two at-large plus a highly ranked group of five team, i.e. a 2006Boise State.

          • rainydaze114 says:

I like the top 6 getting automatic bids with a play in for the 7 and 8 spots.

          • ND52 says:

@rainydaze114:disqus Make each P5 conf. champ an automatic bid so that schools are encouraged to schedule real OOC games like Tenn vs. OU and not………..oh I dunno………Lamar.

  • Indy_sooner says:

Win or lose… This year has been good. The sooners have put in alot of work to get themselves in a position to compete for both a big 12 and national championship. I’ll take that any day… Compared to where we were last year

  • RBear says:

TCU dropped from 3 to 6 in the final week last year…

    • Indy_sooner says:

I feel dirty saying this but they are TCU.. This is OU. Big difference in the money game this year

    • Sooner Ray says:

Thanks in part to our “One True Champion” policy.

    • Don Carmichael says:

This is different though. The PAC 12 is out of it, and no conference is getting two teams in. The committee has made it clear they are not impressed with ND, which is the only thing that really matters if both OU and ND win next week. Now, they could certainly change their minds, but there’s not a lot of football left to be played for ND to get the necessary style points.

    • Mizuno44 says:

Thanks for my first bipolar experience

  • Kevin says:

I was definitely one of those people who thought we didn’t have a chance at the playoff/NC this year. New coaches, new system, talented but inexperienced players, lots of unknown. We could still end up 10-3 [ducks the furniture being thrown], but the attitude of this team is a lot like in 2013 with a better shot at taking it all. One game at a time and we will be celebrating #8 soon enough. Hard to believe faith in the program was on life support just 11 months ago. Have to say, it’s been a pretty impressive ride so far. Boomer!

  • Breadburner says:

    Boom….!!!!

    • SamSooner says:

This is trademarked. You can’t use another person’s intellectual property without their permission. If you choose to look past that, at least know that Denzel’s BOOM! is reserved for commits.

      LOL!

  • Jon Nakata says:

Im sure glad the guys are getting some love, and the BIg12 some respect. Probably not as surprised considering all the jabbering heads have been harping on “Why isnt OU getting the same love as Bama/ND?” point for weeks now (Thanks Klatt!) I AM Surprised that its no.3 and not 4. Im sure Mich St. will handle Penn St and someone will finally expose Iowa in the B1G title game… Just really hoping someone knocks off Bama in the next few weeks… cuz… theres guys on that team who remember the Sugar Bowl and I dont think anyone wants to play against angry Saban….

  • Recondo says:

Not bad but here are the rankings if the CFP lived in the real world: Clemson, Iowa, OU, MSU, Bama, ND, BU

  • Jon Nakata says:

Furthermore. BEAT THE PUKES! Time to take Little Bro to the woodshed.

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

Beat those filthy, stanky, nasteh, gross, disgusting, hideous, repulsive, repugnant, terrible, grotesque, awful Pukes!

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

    Bedlam 2015: The Reckoning

  • Mustvid says:

Right now I just want to win the Big 12. I don’t want Baylor winning it again. I hope the team is focused now that they’ve been recognized. Respect is a powerful motivator. They need to stay hungry for the remainder of the season. Boomer!

  • Recondo says:

Just saw we are 5-0 against FPI top 40 this season. That is by far the most impressive run in the country. I’ve always seen any team in the top 40 as dangerous.

    • Zack says:

Win this week and beat Clemson in the playoff and we will have beat every team we lost to last season.

    • Budbarrybob Budbarrybob says:

This is by far the most impressive stat and none of the other contenders even came close to OU. This overwhelmed even the most biased on the committee and the foolish arguments they have been making against OU the past couple of weeks.

  • Jeremy Phillips says:

I feel like this is some sort of a ruse..

  • John Garner says:

Happy we made it, but it doesn’t mean squat if we don’t kick the crap out of the Pokes.

  • Mizuno44 says:

Our resume is better than anyone in the top four, the other three should be afraid of losing status. Exception of Clemson, who’s only quality win is an overrated Notre Dame.

  • Birddawg says:

    Team def sees this.
Better light a fire in their ass and get the Win Saturday.

  • ToatsMcGoats says:

When was the last time we were in NC contention this late into the season? It’s been awhile, but it’s good to be back!

  • Jerry Reid says:

So WHEN we play Alabama in the playoffs, do we let TK9 do his thing again? Lol

    • RBear says:

      ummm, no

      • Jerry Reid says:

Lol but he won the sugar bowl for us!

        • Jon Nakata says:

^LOOK EVERYONE A SUGAR BOWL REFERENCE!

          • Jerry Reid says:

Lol sorry had to be the first one to say it.

          • Jon Nakata says:

Sugar Bowl references are like Country people seeing whitetail deer. They see them every day, and still slam on the breaks and go “OH LOOK! DEER!” Everytime….

          • Jerry Reid says:

When I see deer I see steak, chili, jerky. No brakes

          • Jon Nakata says:

but you DO then, know what I mean… You know those people.

          • Recondo says:

Well, in all fairness, Bob Stoops has had Bama’s # his whole career. I think Bama and OU are almost mirror images this year (strong run games, good D) with one significant difference that plagues Saban; OU can run tempo.

          • rainydaze114 says:

OU’s defense is way better this year than the one that beat Bama. Bama’s offense is so one dimensional this year. OU would own that game.

          • Recondo says:

These are two different teams than lined up two years ago. I just think we match up very close and our up-tempo options on offense would be the difference in another game against Bama.

          • CcrBoomer says:

Bama’s DL is better then OU faced last time too. OU would need more then 1 wr to step up. That’s if the OL could protect long enough for Bake to pass

          • Budbarrybob Budbarrybob says:

your right, only sec schools are allowed to take credit for beating bama, but even more absurd, claim the national championships bama wins after they lose to them. SEZ SEZ SEZ SEZ

          • Budbarrybob Budbarrybob says:

your right, only sec schools are allowed to take credit for beating bama, but even more absurd, claim the national championships bama wins after they lose to them. SEZ SEZ SEZ SEZ

        • Rene Goupillaud says:

He’ll always be remembered by the Sooner for that great game. It was his Bob Beamon moment and he deserves recognition for that great win.

    • Jon Nakata says:

Can I just go ahead and vote no. OR… Conditionally vote YES, provided we change TK9 to BM6?

  • BigJoeBrown says:

    I still think I am seeing things….

  • rainydaze114 says:

IMO, 3 is the perfect spot for OU because it gives them some cushion. We know that either Iowa or Mich St will lose another game, so that eliminates one of the teams immediately behind OU with the other most likely getting that 4 spot. A convincing win over a top 10 team this week should solidify things.

  • Wilson says:

Nothing worse than premature…….celebration…heh….just beat everybody left (JBEL)!

  • Dustin says:

Hooray for being No.3. That being said, y’all need to be watching the BB game. Manyang is putting on a show.

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

Akolda Manyang is tearing it up in the bball game

  • Recondo says:

CBS Sports headline reads “CFP Rankings: OU Overrated.” Morons. By what metric do you justify that headline?

  • Daryl says:

It is a total surprise for sure but it was also a surprise when TCU was dropped 3 spots and out of playoff because they didn’t play a championship game. Still a long way to go even with a victory.

    • Lane Gilstrap says:

They played Iowa State not a top ranked team

      • D Hunter Sanchez says:

I don’t see a scenario were the teams behind OU could destroy a ranked opponent and get the nod like OSU did to wisky last year. Notre Dame does not have the offense, MSU has a back up QB and plays a decent defensive team in Iowa. Iowa doesn’t have the offense to blow our MSU.

      • Recondo says:

And OhSt fluked into a massive win against a ranked Wisconsin. That was a strange final week and I wouldn’t count on it happening again.

    • leatherneck1061 says:

Dynamics are different. TCU went home while all the teams contending for top spots played conference championship games. Notre Dame will be sitting at home like us. If MSU or whoever beats Iowa in the conference they will just take Iowa’s place. At this point it will only be 1 team from each conference getting in, and a 2-loss Pac 12 champion is not going to jump us if we win Saturday. The only real danger I can see is if ND just goes in and destroys Stanford and makes a more impressive final statement than us – hard to see that happening though.

      • JD says:

Doesn’t Stanford still have LA1 or LA2 in the ccg

      • Daryl says:

So you are saying completely confident that if Stanford destroys ND and then destroys in pac 12 championship and MSU beats Iowa hands down that there is a a little bit of you that feels like we could moved back like TCU? If so I think you fail to see the jumps that this committee makes week to week and that their goal is to make money. Making big moves generates more clicks and clicks Equal cash.

        • Golfluvr13 says:

          Stanford has 2 losses.

        • leatherneck1061 says:

I haven’t failed to see anything. Sure anything is possible with the committee, and I have been complaining on here about them more than most as you can see for yourself if you want to look through the archives. But saying something is possible is a far cry from saying it is likely. So, yes I am saying with reasonable confidence a 2-loss Pac 12 champ is not going to get in ahead of 1-loss OU. If Stanford wins like you say, then that means ND has been eliminated from the picture which is the best outcome for us in that game since 1-loss ND has a better chance of bumping us then 2-loss Stanford. And if MSU beats Iowa, so what? All that means is they take Iowa’s place. Might have an effect on the order of the top 4 but certainly isn’t going to push us out of it.

Bottom line, if we and Stanford both take care of business Saturday, we’re in. No 2-loss team is going to break up the party.

  • leatherneck1061 says:

Need help getting my jaw off the floor

  • soonerthunder says:

I’m okay with it, Jordan, but it’s the final ranking I’m most concerned with. These guys have shown they can undo everything they’ve said/done before in the last vote. If they do that to a Big 12 team two years in a row. . .

  • Josh says:

I’m very happy that I was completely wrong about what the committee was going to do this week.

  • Josh says:

I’m very happy that I was completely wrong about what the committee was going to do this week.

  • SamSooner says:

You, a collective you, will always find something to worry about if you’re not happy with what you have.

  • Dustin says:

I had a meatball sub for dinner. It was yummy.

  • JD says:

Im gonna go all conspiracy theory here and say they moved us to 3 (and will keep us 2 or 3 depending on outcomes) to fill Jerry World

    • Lane Gilstrap says:

I don’t think we will play there. I think it will be the orange bowl

    • Zack says:

I don’t think they will let us play at jerry world unless we somehow get the number one spot. I could see them dropping us to 4 and making us play Clemson in Miami.

      • JD says:

I thought 23 was at Jerry World…yeah maybe they would drop us to four but you know they consider what teams will fill both places. It will be interesting to see

        • Zack says:

I don’t think they would give us a clear regional advantage over any team. The fact that notre dame travels well could make Dallas the spot for ou notre dame. Although it would take some chaos these next 2 weeks for ou and notre dame to be in the final 4.

I think it would be great for Clemson and msu to lose. Then Ohio state beat Michigan and look good beating Iowa.
Perfect final 4 would be ou, bama, notre dame and Ohio state.

          • JD says:

Yeah still this weekend and the next before its final…Ill feel better if we just have a good win this weekend and not worry about who we play or where

    • RBear says:

I’ve heard that they won’t place a team too close to their home to avoid a “home field advantage” situation like we’ve endured in the Orange Bowl (Fla St.), the Sugar Bowl (LSU) and the Rose Bowl (USC)

      • JD says:

So does that mean Bama and Clemson to Jerrys

        • RBear says:

I’d assume Bama and us to the orange

          • JD says:

That would favor bama so yeah I see it…Bama borders Florida

          • RBear says:

Tuscaloosa is about the same distance from Miami as to Tulsa… OU to Dallas is pretty close

          • JD says:

It will be interesting to see how it goes..obviously the b10 will have the team that has to travel furthest unless ND gets in…sending us to Miami would also be a trip and our fans travel well…I know for bowl games sometimes they pick teams that will fill the stands because that is the area they lose money

          • Zack says:

I think it would be Clemson vs ou in the Orange. Bama vs whoever in Dallas.

          • RBear says:

            1 vs 4, 2 vs 3

          • Sooner Ray says:

The bracket shows 2-3 at the cotton. Are you saying they would manipulate the top 4 rankings to get the teams further from home?

          • JD says:

Thats what I thought as well…it will be interesting to see if they do that

          • RBear says:

If what I heard on the radio is correct , yes. Further from home only to avoid any home field advantage(s).

          • Zack says:

They will manipulate it only to make sure that the #1 seed does not have a further travel than their opponent.

      • Sooner 4Ever says:

The “plan” that was drafted at the onset of the new CFP system was quite clearly outlined regarding the location of games.

The first consideration is, above all else, the number one seed. The 1 seed will be placed at the location that gives them whatever home field advantage can be had. If neither of the locations are close to the 1 seed, then the next consideration is insuring the 1 seed isn’t at a disadvantage.

For example, if this year’s venues were the Rose Bowl and Sugar Bowl and if LSU were the 4 seed, with Clemson still the 1 seed… Clemson vs LSU would be sent to the Rose Bowl to avoid having the 1 seed play at a location that favors the 4 seed.

Clemson in the Orange Bowl vs Iowa (or ND or Michigan State) is the home field advantage the committee would give to the 1 seeded Tigers.

The committee said right up front that protecting the 1 seed’s home field advantage is the first priority, even at the expense of forcing the 2 seed into a decided disadvantage against the 3 seed. So 3 seeded OU would get to play Bama in Jerry World if the final seeding is the same as today’s.

        • RBear says:

gotcha… i guess i only heard part of the explanation on the radio then. Thanks for clearing that up.

        • JD says:

That explains why Bama got TOSU in the Sugar last year…and if we landed #1 in the future we would get the first round at Jerry World but heres the million dollar question…what about the finals..what if the finals where scheduled for Jerry World and we were the 2 or 3 and won plus the 1 seed won…surely they wouldn’t change the venue

        • aklibtard says:

The Cotton Bowl isn’t much of a home field advantage. It’s not more than a day away from Alabama. I know my friends and I made it to FL from Norman in 18 hours for spring break. Bama fans will travel. The whole stadium would be filled with Crimson and Cream, but I don’t think we’d have any type of advantage. What an epic rematch that would be!

          • soonersd says:

I’m not worried so much about an advantage as I am an outright disadvantage ala LSU in the Suger and Fla in the Orange that we ran in to in 2 of our last 3 NC games. Jerry World will always be the best option/scenario for us.

      • soonersd says:

We got stomped by USC in the Orange Bowl. With the outcome of that game you would have thought it was in SoCal. The other two were clear disadvantages though.

  • SoonerCindy says:

Bad day at work followed by great news here. I,ll take the bad work days if this is the result

  • Daddy R says:

    Must. Beat. Aggies.

Ranking is a pleasant surprise, but…

    Must. Beat. Aggies.

And even then, we have no idea with this effin committee. But we still…

    Must. Beat. Aggies.

    • Sooner Ray says:

And according to that, if it were played today, we would be in the Cotton Bowl. I hope that’s how it plays out.

      • Dustin says:

Definite home field advantage. Give those SEC buttholes a taste of their own medicine.

        • aklibtard says:

I don’t think we’d have that much of advantage. Alabama isn’t more than a day’s road trip from the Cotton Bowl and you know that those fans would travel well. I think it’d set up for one of the most epic rematches of all time.

          • Drew says:

            It’d certainly hurt us less:

            2000 orange bowl: FL St.
            2003 sugar bowl: LSU
            2004 rose bowl: USC
            2008 Orange bowl: FU

          • soonersd says:

It’s interesting b/c of all the other times we got royally screwed location wise for NC games that people mistake 2004 USC for the Rose Bowl. That game was played in MIami at The Orange. All the rest are correct.

      • Walter Sobcek says:

Absolutely. Wouldn’t it be nice to finally have a bit of a home field advantage after having to play LSU and Bama in New Orleans, and Florida in Florida.

  • RocketCitySooner says:

My dream come true. We get to beat Alabama again and then a chance for revenge against Clemson. Be still, my beating heart.

  • RBear says:

sorry, checking on that last post…

  • JrsySooner says:

Not surprising I said all along if Baylor beats osu in their house and we beat them in theirs plus the tcu win we are in by body of work…ND struggled…cost them..now to me 5 was automatic due to other loses 3 is surprising I though we would be 4
    just win baby

  • Hotrod33 says:

I was surprised to see a jump that much. Like the players and coaches have said they are still hungry and not satisfied. We still have a lot of football left to play. First things first beat our lil’ sister. BOOMER!!!!

Let’s just take a moment to remember where we were at the end of last year. OU lost every home game. They were blown out multiple times. They were embarrassed in their bowl game. It’s time that Stoops gets some credit for making the hard choices he needed to in the offseason.

Why do I need to take a moment to remember that? Thanks. Can I unread this?

But the congrats should be going to the players, that finally decided to change the mentality in the program. I just hope this attitude carries on for several years. It’s a great time to be a Sooner.

Great, great hires across the board. Cooks, Reynolds, and Riley have all done an excellent job getting the most out of this team. Really impressed by Reynolds and the technique by the D Line. That’s where championships begin and Diron has earned his pay check. Moving Mike to the booth was borderline genius. Mike’s volatile personality probably doesn’t fit well with today’s participation trophy athletes in stressful game day situations.

Kudos to Bob. I think he had put it in cruise control for several years and became a little complacent, but the moves he has made the last couple of years show that there may still be some fire in the belly.

I hope we can keep this staff together for the next 2-3 years.

Well fellas, if OUr boys don’t pay too much attention to this and take care of business against the pukes #8 is a possibility! I’ll be the first to admit I didn’t think this team had it in em. Not at the start of the season or after the texsa loss. But man have they proved me wrong and really showed a ton of heart in the process. Hats off to Bob and the off season moves he made, they have made a ton of difference. And I really can’t leave out how outstanding a surprise Baker Mayfield has been. With that said go out and destroy the pukes and their umpa lumpa coach!

With the realization of their goals before them like never before, I expect the team to shove a tunsten carbide rod up their spines for the finish.
      They ain’t done yet.

      • MoJoOkie says:

I’d say the pokes would like nothing better than to ruin our conference and national aspirations. Boys need to be ready for that initial adrenaline surge from them.

  • Walter Sobcek says:

I am surprised. Finally some respect. Which is not to say the committee wouldn’t bump Stanford over OU if they look very good in a win over ND. Or put Iowa ahead of us if they go udefeated in the Big 10. But it’s a nice spot to be in at the moment.

  • SoonerOracle737 says:

I’m shocked that the committee put us at #3 after all the bias talk. However, I couldn’t be happier or more proud of the Sooners! They have earned this ranking by taking care of business. One more game and we are golden!

  • Soonerfandave84 says:

Great to see but let’s be number 3 two weeks from now too.

    • Exiled In Ohio says:

That was my thought. If/when we beat OSU, I could just see them deciding that MSU’s win over Iowa and ND’s win over Stanford were better, and kicking us out of the top 4.

  • MoJoOkie says:

Our rightful place is #1, but this is a step in the right direction.

  • SoonerOracle737 says:

Was listening to Reece Davis on Mike & Mike this morning and he was saying he wasn’t surprised at the committee for putting OU ahead of ND basically because of ND’s poor performance against BC and even Wake Forrest. Hard to argue with the terrible & recent performance of ND. The emphasis seemed to be on recent play, which is a good thing in my book too.

Looks like the lobbying effort worked. I’m happy about where we are, but can anyone say that the committee is anything more than a joke? Jeff Long’s justifications are hilarious must-see-tv

  • Thegunnfather says:

It’s about time, if Alabama is 2 we are three, and The game will be a toss up that we win

  • Glocal Sooner says:

Shocked that we’re in the top 4 at this point. Blown away that we’re #3. What that tells me is, (theoretically anyways), if we win, we’re in. I feel like if we would have been in the 4 spot, there could be some room to get bumped out even if we win but I don’t see them bumping us out of the top 4 if we win in Stillwater.

    • Cush Creekmont says:

Last year, TCU was 3 and ended at 6 when it counted EVEN though they killed ISU in their last game. tOSU beat down of Wisc got all the voting energy.

  • Kelsta says:

Here are my thoughts. I’ll assume every team that is supposed to win…wins. Of course, this is unlikely. I realize the script is almost certain to get flipped but it’s fun to debate.

I don’t think much has really changed. Numbers 3 through 6 seem pretty fluid in the committees eyes. I still feel like we’re fighting for the #4 spot. The Big10 champ will likely move in to the 3rd spot after the championship in a week that OU is not playing. It could come down to this weekend with ND and their top 10 match up in Stanford. I think if we’re top 4 in next Tuesday’s poll…we are in. If not, we’re hoping for a Clemson or Alabama loss.

  • DrLov says:

For the playoffs, does the Citris Bowl get #1 and #4 and the Cotton Bowl get #2 and #3 for sure or do they base it on school proximity?

    • DrewChubbs says:

It depends on who is the #1 seed. That school will get the venue that gives them the best advantage. The other 3 teams get what is left…ie – #4 obviously plays wherever #1 goes. 2v3 takes place in the other venue.

  • hOUligan says:

If it hasn’t already been said, this is is a perfect, fairytale setup. OU vs SEC darling in round 1 and a chance for the team to avenge the bowl beat down. It’s all right in front of them with one more Herculean effort. Gotta smash the Pokes.

  • soonermusic says:

What I noticed was that everywhere outside of the fanatical fanbase, the reaction to Oklahoma has been, “hey, they just beat Baylor and TCU back to back.” That’s the lasting impression at this point.

  • Fear The Magic says:

In that graphic everyone elses logo is colored and our’s is just white? Even at #3 we’re not getting any respect !

  • sooner4ever says:

Never forget the last quarter of the game against the Aggies last year. This one has to be a no-holds barred match, and make them pay in their own house.
