That’s a pretty impressive list of Sooners. Hope they all make a team. Boomer

Keep us updated Jordan, I’ll be checking back over the weekend.

  • Indy_sooner says:

Miami’s opponents will be seeing lots of crimson, it seems.

  • AltoidSooner says:

Good showing for Stills last night. Its too bad he does not have a better than average QB. The Falcon’s secondary made Tannehill look silly a couple times.

    • Shelby is a Patriot says:

Disagree. Tannehill is actually a very good QB. Hasn’t had much help. Lots of drops and poor offensive line. Stats won’t always show that, though. Kenny Stills is already his best WR and help out a lot. Plus, I don’t think most WRs in the NFL would complain about having an average QB, anyway. You can win with average.

      • AltoidSooner says:

Agreed, only a few elite QBs in the league. Just have not been impressed with Tannehill’s demeanor. And he made some poor throwing decisions last night.

        • Shelby is a Patriot says:

Thought the offense as a whole for the Dolphins didn’t look very sharp last night. Tannehill has made some really good throws this preseason. Obviously, regular season is where it counts, but I think he’ll have a much better year with Gase there and the offense actually using Stills correctly.
Interesting you don’t like his demeanor. I’ve always seen him as a pretty tough QB. He’s taken a lot of shots in his career.

          • AltoidSooner says:

No doubt about that. Stability in coaching could certainly help. He’s had the Sam Bradford St. Louis treatment so far. Gase last worked with Jay Cutler so I don’t know if thats a good thing or not (LOL). I just read some bad body language and reports about some not so great practice habits.

          • Shelby is a Patriot says:

The Sam Bradford comparison is a good one. Both QBs who most people write off as bad because everyone one else does or just by looking at stats, without actually watching them play or being unable to really evaluate a QB and their situation.

          • BoomerShauner says:

Then again, you have a guy like Tom Brady, who takes nobody WR’s and wins Super Bowls with them.

          • Shelby is a Patriot says:

Not really. He elevates their play, certainly, but as we saw last season, even Brady can’t win a Super Bowl without Gronk/Edelman and some protection. I think the most important thing for a QB is stability, and Brady has had that better than anyone. Bradford had some stability his last two years in St. Louis and he was looking great, but then he tore his acl. Twice.
Regardless, comparing anyone to the GOAT is silly.

          • BoomerShauner says:

I’ll give you Gronk. But Edelman? He had to basically stalk Brady in the beginning of his career. I doubt he does what he’s doing on another team. He is a badass though. I don’t really like NE. But I admire Edelman’s work ethic. Dude is a bulldog.

          • SoonerinLondon says:

Sam hasn’t been very good in the pros. I know about his teams, WRs, OL and injuries, but he still hasn’t been very good. It is unbelievable how many red zone ints he throws. I think it started in the Florida game.

He an LJ throw the prettiest passes in the League. I hope they both have great seasons.

          • Shelby is a Patriot says:

He played pretty well last year considering he was in a terrible offensive scheme, most drops, no protection, new team, new coach, new oc, and coming off an iniury. Pro Football Focus had him as the 11th best QB last season.
He also had six INTs last year that were on the WR, in which the ball hit them in the hands and bounced off and into the hands of another defender.
Sam has great accuracy all over field, timing, anticipation, does well under pressure, goes through his progressions, etc. You can see that all on tape if you know what you are looking at.
The Eagles have gotten a bit better this season and the new offense will suit Sam well. He will do even better and prove a lot of people wrong.
If doesn’t tear his acl the first or even second time and continues playing at the rate he was, the narrative would be that he is a great QB.
            But to each their own.

      • Canada_KB says:

I love Kenny but he’s not the Dolphins best WR.

        • Shelby is a Patriot says:

He is, IMO. Jarvis Landry can be unreliable. Drops really easy passes down field. He’s had some this preseason, actually.

          • Canada_KB says:

Landry had 110 catches last year to Stills’ 27. In my opinion Stills should be getting way more looks and should’ve in New Orleans as well, but those numbers don’t lie…

          • Shelby is a Patriot says:

Stats don’t always tell the whole story. Which is why there a lot of people that think Landry is better than he is. I’m not suggesting he’s bad, but Miami plays to his strengths very, very well. As an overall WR, Stills is better, and I think that will become more obvious this season.

  • Oscar says:

In tuned into the Dolphins/Falcons just in time to see Jordan Phillips jump offsides.

  • CrimsonGhost says:

Who woulda thunk Chris Chester would have a longer career than Jammal Brown back in 2005?

    • D Hunter Sanchez says:

Has had a solid career. Starts where ever he goes. Davin Joseph had a decent career as well-pro bowler.

    • Big Higg says:

He’s awesome. I hope he continues to have success. I graduated high school with his wife – very very nice people.

    • SoonerinLondon says:

Not bad for a guy with a club foot.

  • Spitting Bull says:

You forgot to put Good Landry….:)

  • Dustin says:

Tress Way is quickly becoming one of the league’s best punters.
