Sooners DE Charles Walker OUT vs. Clemson

Image via Scout

Oklahoma defensive end/tackle, Charles Walker, announced via social media that he will not play in Thursday’s Orange Bowl against Clemson. This was subsequently confirmed by a number of other reports.

Again, according to multiple reports, Walker evidently suffered a concussion during practice earlier this week and will miss the game as a result.

The loss is a considerable one for the Sooners considering Walker has arguably been their most impactful and disruptive defensive lineman all year.

Walker has split time with Matt Dimon for most of the season, so one would expect the junior to receive an increased number of snaps in Walker’s absence. True freshman Marquise Overton and JUCO transfer Austin Roberts could also see some increased time. Redshirt sophomore D.J. Ward is also a possibility as well.

    🙁
Seriously love watching that guy play.

  • Walter Sobcek says:

    This sucks.

  • Kevin says:

Hopefully Dimon doesn’t get himself ejected either.

  • rainydaze114 says:

This is the most suck ever.

  • JrsySooner says:

M fresker I waited all month praying no issues and we lose our best man in the middle game day…why do the God’s hate us…unresl

    • Daddy R says:

Your frustration is certainly warranted; however, I am just thankful this wasn’t because of “missing curfew,” or anything non-football related. Injuries happen. The team will be prepared to make up for his loss. Dimon or someone else may have the most unreal, badass performance ever… Sometimes, something like this lends towards a greater performance from every one else.

The team has known all week long- they’re still confident, so am I

I think this gives Obo a chance to redeem himself for what happened last year. If you want something real bad, fate conspires to make it happen. Let’s watch the magic!

  • Tim A says:

Damn it! Really wish I didn’t see this – although I’m sure I would have figured it out early int the game anyway. Just ruined my morning……Walker is an absolute stud.

  • Kelly Gurbcock says:

the moron desmond howard just said he thinks clemson will expose us in the middle now. what an idiot, doesn’t do his damn homework. I hate espn.

    • Birddawg says:

      If I’m Clemson,
I am going to attack the middle of the line and force someone to step up.

    • rainydaze114 says:

He’s got a point though. When your opponent loses a key player, you attack that position until they prove they can stop you.

      • brainpimp says:

OK then what are you gonna do 3 minutes into the game when you’ve been stuffed on a 3 and out and OU just went 77 yards in 4 plays for a TD and you’re down 7.

  • ND52 says:

Well at least he didn’t strike a police officer on South Beach……….

  • Bob Edwards says:

I said this on the other thread but I will say it again here since this is where it is being discussed.

Walker is a significant loss. However, the balance and depth of this team makes it less of a concern than many years. The depth at the DLine means that the drop off is not as bad as it could be and the balance means that, even if the D struggles, we still have an offense that can out score them.

    • Kevin Burger says:

I agree, I think between the depth, and cohesiveness of the defense, we’ll be better able to weather losing Walker this season than we would in most other seasons.

  • Ed Cotter says:

Wishing CW a full recovery. You know it is tearing him up not to be out there. Next guy just needs to step in and get it done.

  • ND52 says:

Again, according to multiple reports, Walker evidently suffered a concussion during practice earlier this week and will miss the game as a result.

Just goes to show how intense practices have been leading up to this bowl game.

  • Kevin Burger says:

Well guys, I was a little unsure before, but I guess now we have to win this game. It wouldn’t be right to let Walker miss all of the post season play after working so hard all season.

  • RBear says:

If it’s any consolation, or to maybe put things in a different perspective- Walker did not start a single game this season, we’ll be fine.

  • Jed says:

    Well crap.

  • DCinAZ says:

It’s always one of our top players. Always.

    • Bob Edwards says:

You do realize Walker has not started a single game this year.

      • rainydaze114 says:

Harden never started for the Thunder when he was here. He was still one of the most important pieces on the team. Not exactly a great point, but I see where you’re coming from.

        • Bob Edwards says:

Not saying that he’s not important. But before we panic, we need to realize that, for whatever reason, the coaches started another guy over him in every game this year.

          • rainydaze114 says:

Rotations are key, especially on the lines. Somebody is going to have to play more minutes today which means fatigue. I’m curious to see what they come up with.

          • Bob Edwards says:

Yeah. The encouraging thing is that our DLine is probably the deepest unit on the squad.

          • rainydaze114 says:

            Some might say too deep?

          • RBear says:

you do realize that rain is beneficial, right?

          • rainydaze114 says:

I’m missing your point. Too much rain is a bad thing though.

          • RBear says:

my point is that nearly every post you’ve made recently has been negative, even your handle implies doom (rainydaze)- so, pointing out that all is not lost and that even rain is beneficial.

          • rainydaze114 says:

You apparently don’t know me. I’ve been around for a long time man.

          • RBear says:

no, I do not know you.

not going to get sucked into the vortex of negativity where this news is concerned, going to enjoy my day, remain positive and confident.

            enjoy your day.

          • rainydaze114 says:

Vortex of negativity… lol. You really don’t know me.

          • Bob Edwards says:

If it helps, I just read you as discussing the issues. It’s a negative situation hard to be 100% upbeat about it.

          • RBear says:

There are those of us who are trying to remain positive about the situation, posting things like next man up etc.- we realize the impact of losing the guy, it’s obvious.

Just seems like every time someone tries to be positive, there’s a reply pointing out the (obvious) negative aspect of it.

Charles Walker is a huge loss, but we’ll be alright.

          • rainydaze114 says:

What’s the point of discussion if everyone is saying the same thing? Kinda defeats the whole point of a message board.

          • hOUligan says:

No…a ‘vortex of negativity’ would be the description for SD.

          • Bob Edwards says:

I would never say too deep. After we started our 4th string TE at center a few years ago.

          • rainydaze114 says:

I was referring to the “we too deep” thing.

          • Bob Edwards says:

            #TooSubtleForMe

          • rainydaze114 says:

I’ll be more obvious next time 🙂

      • DCinAZ says:

Yes. I also realize how absurd that is given that he’s head and shoulders better than anybody else on that line.

      • Defend Colfax says:

You have 4 fingers and one thumb.

      • Hooknladder says:

LIke the report says he is far and away the most explosive interior guy we have. Dimon is a SR which is probably why he starts. Go back and watch the film- Walker is in on almost every play and has considerably more speed than any other interior DL.

        • Daddy R says:

So what exactly are you trying to convey? Walker’s out so we are screwed? I dont think so my friend! We are getting this one. Last I heard, Walker’s name is not Mayfield.

          • brainpimp says:

I think he’s trying to say it hurts more than just some guy that is a backup and has no impact. Walker definitely has an impact.

          • Daddy R says:

Agreed about the impact, it is big; but he is trying to say more than that… He keeps rebutting everyone with “how bad this is.” Almost troll-like. We know its bad, but its not doom and freaking gloom like some are insinuating.

          • brainpimp says:

    • Soonerlaw6 says:

We have been super fortunate on the injury front this year, though. Probably one of the healthiest teams out there. If this is the worst we have to deal with, we’ll be just fine.

Show Clemson We too deep. Never underestimate the heart of a Champion. TCU lost their QB. They have a solid TEAM to win still. One guy makes no difference. Playing as a unit of 11 gets it done today. #BOOMERSOONER

  • Bob Edwards says:

While I understand the concern about losing Walker let’s keep a couple of facts in mind. 1) He is listed as the “co” starter and according to OU’s participation stats he has never actually started a game.

  • Sooner_Ace says:

Dimon, ward, roberts, overton, etc. Step up and shine.

  • Golfluvr13 says:

Not really the news I wanted to start my day with. While Walker did not start, he was still a huge impact player this year.

    • rainydaze114 says:

This is an idea I can get behind.

  • Defend Colfax says:

Everyone calm down. We’re resting him for the NC, it’s all good.

  • hOUligan says:

While not a starter, Walker was 3rd in sacks and TFL. It’s a hole, no doubt. Wonder if Orso was moved back to DE as he was 3rd behind Dimon and Walker.

  • Rick says:

I wonder if Coach Tiff approved all this spread?

    https://twitter.com/OU_Football/status/682609040338345985

  • ALar03 says:

Though he has not started I have felt walker has been the biggest disruptor on our dline he has been quick with his hands and doesn’t allow the offense to move him.. But I’m confident in anyone we bring in for him! Also I don’t know about the hit but sounds like they have at least been goin at it this week which is phenomenal to hear after looking back last year and people were saying this exact rging just wasn’t there! Sucks to hear this for the young man cuz you know he wants to be out there! And with the news of Boykin I am proud that our sooners look like its a team of high charcter guys.. Boomer sooner!!!

  • Mizuno44 says:

The Walker news is just as disruptive to Clemson’s game plan. Interesting the injury occurred on Monday, he surely had symptoms the last few days. We’ve prepared accordingly behind the scenes, and dropped the bomb on game day, gamesmanship playing in our favor.

  • BigJoeBrown says:

I really feel for him. Thankfully he will make an apperance in the ship’. Dude has just had some troubles with injuries was hoping he was going to make it through this season injury free.

    • hOUligan says:

Me too. Maybe he’ll be handing out candy on the sidelines. The players seemed to like that.

    • DCinAZ says:

What I want to know is how in the world did THAT guy get concussed and by whom?!?!

      • Rick says:

Good point! It has been said that the big O, has been quite nasty this week. I don’t know that it was him, but in the Tapper interview, he mention that Orlando had put him on his back several times this week and is really getting nasty.

  • Brad Warren says:

Just when it seemed we had made it through entire layoff injury/incident free, 5 hrs before kickoff this breaks! Definitely sucks bc he’s a force, but not like team just found out. We have depth there. Overton has gotten a good push at times. We’ll be fine.

  • Hollerback says:

we need bigger helmets with rolls of charming taped all over the outside for practice. this is terrible.

  • Bob Edwards says:

So boys and girls it’s time for me to make the 45 minute drive home from what is passing for work today. Need to get ready for the game. I usually stay away from game day threads so I may not see you all til after the game. For most of the regulars here don’t let the panicky people get you worried, and all you panicky people keep away from the sharp objects and don’t take more of your medicines than have been prescribed.

  • Austin97 says:

Sucks to hear the news about Walker, but I have full confidence in the guys behind him to be able to replace him. We may not can replace him with one guy, but as a group the backups should do just fine(and yes I realize Walker was a backup all year). One thing I feel like is being overlooked here is the Shaw Lawson incident: the man came onto our team bus and started trash talking.. The team bus for goodness sakes!

  • BigJoeBrown says:

Jordan, just curious but can you add a bowl game thread?

BTW…don’t know if you all just saw. But but FSU just lost thier QB, they are are down thier third string. Houston 7 – FSU 3

    • Golfluvr13 says:

Mcguire (not sure if that’s how he spells it), looked like he could barely put weight on his left foot. He should have thrown that ball away quicker. Their backup of him seems to be good at taking sacks.

  • ALar03 says:

    Where is goldson?

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

Not to add fuel to the flames of panic, but even as a back-up Walker has more TFLs and sacks than either Dimon or Romar. I get the whole next-man-up thing, but some players can’t be replaced. I think Walker is one of them. I still have confidence in OUr boys, but to think another one of our DL can slide over and give us the same push in the middle is really underselling the freak-tastic play that is unique to Walker.

  • Sooner Ray says:

Welp, heading home to get chores done before kickoff. We got this.

  • Dick Bump says:

I like Walker..a lot, but Dimon has had games where he played really well, as has Overton and some of the others. The DL is one of our deepest positions. It may be a factor, but I think I’ll still watch the game.

  • Daddy R says:

Sucks about Walker, but lets hope the other Charles shows us who’s in charge.

    Time for the Suplex!!!

  • OUzaudioman says:

Son of a B#$%%#….That’s all I have to say!

  • EasTex says:

    DANGIT!
Was counting on Walker having a huge impact on this game. And this after Orso moves to OL.

  • Golfluvr13 says:

Just so you all know how Vegas feels about this news. Before this announcement OU was a 3.5 point favorite, after it they are a 4.5 point favorite.

  • Kevin says:

Dalvin Cook’s only had 1 yard rushing so far? Dang.

  • OU ON MY MIND says:

Damn, those boys are taking those full on practices seriously. They went so hard that our biggest meanest DL got concussed. Clemson better be ready because OUr boys are going to bring physicality that they’ve never seen.

    • Slim Sooner says:

Must’ve been doing Oklahoma drill in practice. I like that, but hate that Walker is out. Think we’ll be ok, just wanted to be full strength today.

  • BigJoeBrown says:

Houston is starting to step it up. Houston 14 – FSU 3

  • Kevin says:

If only the transitive property worked…Cook had 194 yards against Clemson.

  • BigJoeBrown says:

    Houston taking over 21-3.

  • Kevin says:

I think OU is going to have one of the toughest, if not the toughest, projected strength of schedule for next year.

  • Shelby is a Patriot says:

No targeting call on that play?

  • Jeremy Phillips says:

That’s alright Charles, rest up & get ready for next week!

  • Kevin says:

Ok, going to get ready to head over to a friend’s house to watch the game and do New Year’s celebrations, probably won’t be on for the game thread. Boomer!

  • Jofield says:

The strength of Clemson’s quality opponents is not looking good the last two days!

  • Thegunnfather says:

This sucks for him and us. Next man up! Boomer Sooner baby. Let’s go ruin the new year for some poor people in orange!

  • Daddy R says:

So if Houston ends up winning like 44-10 or something like that….does that add fuel to the fire to put them in Big 12? They remind me of TCU a few years ago, right before they got into big 12. I know, I know, about the “adding another tejas team…” but, there are not many quality options out there, and Houston may be the best up and comer of them all.

    • diablodejalisco says:

when their coach leaves for bigger money, they go back to being the same old houston.

      • Jofield says:

I disagree. This is not the first time Houston has ever been good. They will take a step backward when he leaves but its not like they will fall off the face of the earth. Houston is willing to spend money.

      • Daddy R says:

That is most likely true, but put them in Big 12, and he may not leave. Patterson is still at TCU, and thats what everyone thought about them..

    • Jofield says:

If it were about competition they would be a slam dunk. Unfortunately its about money so they are still not amongst the top 2-3 choices.

    • Bob Edwards says:

No, Houston adds very few TV sets to the television contract because between all the Texas school and the OU alums in the oil industry the Big12 already saturates the Houston market.

      • Daddy R says:

        Solid point.

      • Jofield says:

Saturated indeed, they get a lot of rain there.

      • Pokerman says:

I hear that all the time but I don’t believe it to be true. I lived in Houston for 26 years. It’s mostly TAMU, some Texas but definitely not Big12 saturated. It’s becoming more and more SEC with TAMU and LSU.

        • Bob Edwards says:

How many television sets don’t have the channels that carry B12 games that would if Houston was added? It’s not about number of games watched, its about TV sets added to the ESPN, Fox Sports 1,etc.

      • Walter Sobcek says:

I think the biggest issue is having yet another Texas school in the conference, adding to recruiting challenges.

      • Drew says:

I completely agree with you, but I did have another thought. Would we take Houston to keep them from another conference? Imagine if the PAC picked up Houston: they’d gain a huge foothold in Texas.

        • Bob Edwards says:

I can’t imagine the PAC wanting Houston. I think some people are seriously overestimating the value of Houston. They’ve had two top twenty five finishes since 1990.

          • Drew says:

To be clear, I don’t think they bring the B12 value. They don’t give us any more tv market, we’ve got Houston already, and I fully expect them to regress to the mean once Herman leaves. However, Houston would add sets to another conference (eg PAC), and the Power 5 affiliation would probably cause Herman to stay and allow them to pull a TCU. While certainly not desireable within the B12, my question pertains to if it would be even worse if they get snagged by someone else during the next round of expansion. If so, it might be better to add them to the Big 12 than allow someone else to grab them.

        • Jofield says:

I think that’s called playing not to lose. But its an interesting thought. How about us picking up Cincinnati in order to gain a foothold in Ohio?

    • Fear The Magic says:

If we added Houston might as well go ahead and just change the name of our conference to the Big Texas. Too many Texas teams as it is already IMO

    • Golfluvr13 says:

Nope. None of the other Texas schools that are in the Big 12 now would vote to approve another Texas school being added. It takes away from their recruiting.

      • Rick says:

        I think that’s a good point Golf.

      • Dave Wilkins says:

But wasn’t A&M in the Big12 with TCU & Baylor? What is the difference if Houston is in as the 5th Texas team? Is is just about OU and OSU having to potentially be in different divisions if the league goes back to 12 teams?

        • Golfluvr13 says:

Dave it has been stated before that the Texas schools are 100% against adding another school from Texas. I have read that at least five times this year alone when expansion talk has been brought up.

          • Dave Wilkins says:

I’m sure they are, but screw Texas and Texas teams. If it wasn’t for Texas, Colorado and Nebraska never would have left putting the Big12 in the situation its in. Basically Texas sucks as always.

          • Golfluvr13 says:

You will get no argument from me on that. LOL

    • John Garner says:

So long as Herman (Or is it Harmon?) is their HC. The guy and his staff can damn well coach’em up.

    • Clint Lenard says:

They’ve been pretty successful on and off over the past few decades. Even back in the 80’s. Not sure why people so easily dismiss Houston, but being in the Big 12 would surely help their recruiting and negatively affect Texas and A&M. I’m all for that…

    • brainpimp says:

We don’t need or want another Texsa school. We do not need to recreate the old SW conference.

  • hemisooner says:

Everybody says next man up but it is a big loss. He might not start but we know who the better player is between him and Dimon is. 2nd on the team for tackles for losses and 3rd in sacks will hurt depth of the Dline. Out of the 3 to replace him, Overton is my choice.

    • Mr. Jones says:

It definitely hurts but we can overcome it. Que is my choice as well.

      • hemisooner says:

it will hurt in 3rd and 4th quarter. I don’t know how Roberts can make an impact when he hasn’t played very much. Ward is Tapper’s backup. Q or Wade are the only ones that I can see playing.

        • Jofield says:

Walker’s loss hurts but our backups would start for most other teams (Q and Wade).

          • hemisooner says:

I hate tell you but they are not even close to what Walker is. Are they solid guys, yeah. Are they playmakers, up to this point not really

        • Mr. Jones says:

They’re both capable. Now time for them to step up and eat. Boomer!

        • brainpimp says:

No it won’t. They will simply rotate another guy through.

          • hemisooner says:

What do you think about depth now.

          • brainpimp says:

I think you’re a jerk and htye didn’t even get close to using the rotation they had available.

          • hemisooner says:

Hahahahaha, lots of people think the same way you do… I didn’t like them moving DJ ward out there. He isn’t big or strong enough at the point of attack. I thought Q or wade would been better. At least they have the size to play the run. DJ is a 4-3 DE, in the 3-4 he really doesn’t have a position.

  • Zack says:

Sucks that we can’t be at full strength and as impactful as walker is, thank god it’s a position of depth now. Tapper is going to need to play like he did in November. Romar and dimon need to be at their best. I’m looking forward to seeing my boy wade get some time in the backfield though.

  • Gary Robbins says:

Getting ready for happy hour on the hill till halftime then back home for my neighbors victory party.
Sooners just “win it like you mean it”.

    • Sooner Ray says:

Would love to join you but I have to head for Jenks as soon as the game ends and the hill would get me in a bad way. lol!

  • JJSoona says:

So is there a game today? Been waitin for 30+ days……….

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

Alright. I’m out of panic mode. Let’s rattle the angry bones and get on with this apocalyptic episode of cosmic Sooner violence.

  • Jpsooner23 says:

This always gets me pumped so here ya go. Let’s do this. Old school style.

    • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

Hope Striker has one of these moments. If it were me, I wouldn’t be as quick on my feet. I’d be like, “Y-you. Yeah, you! You’re gonna lose, okay? Why? Well, because you’re not gonna win, that’s why. You big stupid.”

  • Rick says:

If you haven’t seen it yet, Bobby Jack, Dusty, and Plank in the filmroom, pretty good stuff.

  • BigJoeBrown says:

Pretty much just sitting here at my desk, just waiting for the game to start.

    • Mr. Jones says:

Same here. Longest day of work ever.

    • Jpsooner23 says:

What kind of boss u got making u work during this!?!?

      • BigJoeBrown says:

Thankfully I can leave when I want but I am meeting up with a friend for the game so I am just sitting here cruisin’ the internets and watching the FSU game. The office is empty other than me pretty much, and probably going to head out in a bit.

  • Baron Boomer says:

Note to Stoops – don’t let any one else try and tackle Perine in our upcoming National Championship practices.! Feel for Walker but look forward to seeing him in our next game!

    BOOMER Baby!

  • michael hammond says:

    Huge loss….

  • EasTex says:

The Sooners have been fortunate this year with the injury bug. As to the concussion to Walker I ask this one thing of the Sooners.
PLEASE HAVE ALL THE PLAYERS WEAR THE ‘SPEED FLEX’ HELMET!

  • RBear says:

Heard a good take on the radio- comparing Clemson to Oklahoma

    Clemson has individuals with talent

    Oklahoma is a talented team

  • Walter Sobcek says:

I’m under doctor’s orders to take sedatives during the game so my heart rate doesn’t rise to “dangerous levels” (it’s always at dangerous levels) so I will check in after the game. Let’s do this!

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

I can’t get on the game thread. Anybody else having these problems?

  • KatyOUdad says:

    Can’t get on either.

  • Gurry says:

Same here. Not lookin good with 3 negative plays and Perine out. How did we lose momentum so easily!?

  • Gurry says:

I hope mixon isn’t too hurt. That hit looked bad. Prayers for him.

  • kt-raida says:

yeah cant get on either, this game has a bad vibe.

  • KatyOUdad says:

    Oh boy!

  • KatyOUdad says:

    These refs are terrible

  • kt-raida says:

body language right now reminds me of this game last year. cmon guys

  • KatyOUdad says:

Ever since OU was driving up 7-3 and Flowers got that personal foul, that killed that drive and this game turned in favor of Clemson.

    • Gurry says:

Yep. That was the talk all week: Eliminate the stupid penalties….that didn’t happen. These refs and they’re terrible calls didn’t help

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

Our defense is tired plain and simple. Need a score or turnover. We need Riley to open playbook.

  • OU85 says:

Sorry folks. Clemson is just better IMO.

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

    Bad call

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

    Bigtime bad call

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

Come on OU. I still believe.

  • kt-raida says:

gotta give it to Clemson, they punched OU in the mouth and we folded

    • Gurry says:

I agree. The ganeplan was crap. Not to mention, the refs have been terrible. They are not consistent at all. That was clearly not a PI and that that wasn’t a block in the back on striker!?

    • Tim A says:

      correct

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

Sub our guys out damn. Come on man.

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

This has been a horrible game plan by MS

  • OU85 says:

Like I said, they are just better.

  • Gurry says:

I’m sorry, but these refs are SH*T!

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

We have to play the run. Make them pass.

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

I love our boys. But I’m losing faith.

  • SoonerLegend says:

Disappointed in the game plan by LR. Completely went away from the run. Even if it is not there early, you’ve got to stay with it. MS game plan was crap as well. Heard all week how prepared we were for this game. Trying to figure out what exactly we were preparing for. Tough loss. Look forward to the off-season recruiting. Hopefully we can grab some studs that can be impact players. Boomer!

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

It was a great season. I love the Sooners, but we got whipped again.

  • Mizuno44 says:

Not enough hosses on the ponderosa yet, great turnaround from last year

  • Greg sparks says:

    And the band plays on..

  • Greg sparks says:

    We won’t even return a punt…

  • Robertson / Robertson 2016 says:

Sooner born and Sooner bred. Love OUr boys. A disappointing end to an otherwise exciting season.

  • kt-raida says:

I’ve always said next is our year this was a nice surprise but next year!

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

    I’m rooting for MSU

  • Mizuno44 says:

Venables up 2-0 on M Stoops

  • Shelby is a Patriot says:

    Lol

  • KatyOUdad says:

Bring on signing day. I have tickets already for the UH-OU game on Sept 3rd. If we don’t figure out how stop the read option before then, UH will be tough to beat.

  • Mizuno44 says:

Enjoyed the banter this season everyone, let’s lick our wounds and regroup for recruiting

  • Shelby is a Patriot says:

No emotion, no agression, no leadership. For a team that’s talked about being so close I didn’t see much support or celebration between them even when they did make a play. Welp…next year, I guess. Looking forward to seeing where some of our seniors go in the draft.

  • shawnee sooner says:

Honestly the worst game preperation ive seen since last years bowl game

  • Mustvid says:

Same game plans as the Texas loss and what do you expect but another loss. Bob can’t win on the big stage period. Mike and Riley’s schemes gave them no chance to win. Brent owns Bob Stoops.

    • paganpink says:

ROOT FOR SOMEONE ELSE THEN. BOB’S WON MORE BIG GAMES THEN YOUR BIG MOUTH EVER DID.

    • Mizuno44 says:

Armchair opinions on this site don’t count.

      • Mustvid says:

Oh really. So your are site police like pink? Better go after the rest of the poster criticizing the game plans and preparation and not just me. It’s an open board designed for opinions and I’m just sharing mine. Don’t read if you don’t like it. If armchair opinions don’t count then nobody should post starting with you since you seem to have no opinion but think its your job to bully others.

  • SoonerLegend says:

Hoping next year we have the ponies up front to run a true 4-2-5. Not sure we were necessarily out of place tonight. Looked like our staff wasn’t prepared for their adjustments. Didn’t help we couldn’t tackle to save our lives. I figured eventually we would load the box and force Watson to throw to beat us. Guess MS saw something I didn’t. Our young and inexperienced line showed up tonight. Alvarez and Samia both had rough games. Still think we abandoned the run to early.

  • SoonerLegend says:

With that said. Super proud of OUr boys. What a season!

  • Shelby is a Patriot says:

We’ll be better next season. For now, let’s go Men’s basketball!

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

I wish bad things for Clemson. They show no class.

    • Greg sparks says:

Not an ounce… But we played scared and they took it to us on all the phases, with our bend but don’t break defensive game plan to our standing and watching them kick FG, punts, and whatever else they wanted to do on special teams..

  • Lincoln Hawk says:

Great season fellas. I had a lot of fun watching this team and discussing with you guys. Hope you all have a safe and blessed New Year’s!

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

I got a lot of very negative feelings in my head that are purely due to emotion, but I hope Clemson and Bama both lose.
