He got “touched” quite a bit, but he just ignored the pesky defenders..

LOL, a whole week of experience to pass down to Samaje.
Sorry, couldn’t help it.

They had me nailed there as a fan. My wife however is 128 well distributed pounds, and doesn’t drink beer! Danged Japanese.
“not-so-little bulldozer that could” …I like that!
That is the most bizarre thing I’ve seen in a while!

Cool. Can see where Samaje gets his humility and sense of gratitude.

Stoops said the team will get Thur-Sat off for the holiday/bye week
Heh, heh, cue the the remarks about Stoops taking a vacation during the bye week…:-)
Nah, they don’t know how to deep-fry a turkey down in Miami. Why go there?
Snyder wouldn’t do that…he’d be preparing…to get destroyed by TCU….wait

Stoops continually praising the OU grounds crew and field conditions w/ how well it drained & how the turf wasn’t an issue
Also continuing to praise Ripkowski, deservedly so IMO
No kidding! I don’t think it would be possible to over-praise Rip’s performance this season. Stoops waxed poetic talking about how no one could hang onto the ball, but Rip makes a one handed catch and “had no business getting a first down, but he did!” He’s crushing someone on every key play. Love it.
Rip is such a great story. A walk-on who is going to end up playing on Sundays. Oo-aa!
Riplwosi may be the 2nd most valuable player this year only to Perine.
Stoops says the weather conditions were 100% to blame for Cody Thomas’ poor performance
I think so too.

Wow if someone can just sub themselves in, maybe I need to grab a uniform and show up. Think anyone would notice?
That long beard might blow your cover.
Hey, I would shave it if it got me on the field at OU!
Norman has a great ER; your chances of survival are good- life long disability is possibility.
Perhaps not the beard but perhaps it grey color!
Yes. ๐
If your last name is Shepard, I say yes, sub yourself in
Ok, maybe I couldn’t sub myself as a player. I am about Bob’s age. Maybe I can sub myself in as a coach.
so, they don’t know who is going out!?
I saw he said something similar on Saturday. That’s pretty ridiculous if true. Also, if it’s true Bob knows very little about what it’s going on during special teams plays. A couple weeks ago when they got the roughing the punter call he said he wanted to go for a return.
Either he’s painfully (literally for Sterling) unaware or just won’t admit to mistakes in judgement.
Stoops actually took the “blame” for miscommunication on the punt block, although I gotta say, he’s been on record so many times with his disdain for the punt block play that I’m sure Coach B is aware of it, and would need a clear and unequivocal directive with a 25 mph wind in the punter’s face and desperately needing the ball, to call that play.
Since that wasn’t the case, I imagine they had a nice chat about it afterwards.
You know why equipment staff have to take away helmets from players on every single level of football when a player is injured? That’s because they will put themselves on the field.
It happens every where.
Would you rather he call a timeout so you guys can bitch about that?…….feel free to insert a joke here about not having any left
Not ridiculous at all. In this case, you have a guy who has been the clear starting punt returner. He has a helmet. He has the type of injury where game participation is dependent on pain tolerance. All he has to do is tell Sanchez at the last second ‘I’m in”. Hard to blame any of the coaches, much less BS.
I disagree. His participation in the game may be dependent on the pain he can tolerate but the coaches still have to manage him. Allowing him on a wet field to return punts is bad management of him.
Utilize him where he is most effective, offense, and decrease the risk of reinjuring himself by putting him on the bench during punts.
wet field was apparently a non-issue.
WHY allow him to dress out if he is not 100% ? I agree with those who say the staff ‘dropped the ball’ on allowing Shepard to even ‘suit up’ till completely healthy…..
Stoops on Shepard & his groin injury: โHe says heโs not (worse), but he’s the only one who knows.โ
considering his value and it was ku, should not have played him

Have to. Only going to get away with it against ‘Kansas-type’ defenses. Hopefully, Cody proves that it’s simply been a matter of weather and inexperience that has led to his poor performance so far. Would love for him to really ‘break out’ against the Pokies.
Stoops said he was “really pleased” w/ how the young guys in the secondary played on Saturday, specifically mentioned Steven Parker & Jordan Thomas.
Stoops will not rule out Q.Hayes for Bedlam (ankle)
Stoops on J.Thomas: Confidence comes w/ success & experience and little by little, they are gaining more of it.
Congrats to a great young man, and the whole football program on an excellent win in tough conditions! Just what the Sooner Nation needed. Boomer Sooner!

Who’s “they”? The Big 12 or Fox?
I do remember when we only had a game or two televised per season. And how quickly we forget how they looked before HD, for that matter. But it is a lot of early games.
Stoops said he is confident Blake Bell will be available for Bedlam
And confirms they would have burned Justice Hansen’s shirt on Saturday if they’d had to. Said they consciously chose not to run Thomas as much as they might have otherwise.
that’s a wrap for today
I guess the media was scared to ask about the Florida job. Probably wise of them!
Skippy Neuheisel practically begged Foley to offer the job to Bob, after Stoops siriusxm interview today. He all but said BS had run his course at OU and it was the perfect time for him to jump back into the SEC and turn a program around. Really, I was pretty shocked at how outspoken he was about Bob leaving. He pretty much said to offer whatever it takes to get him, because he had no reason to stay at OU.
“Fla job” Asked and answered a week ago in both the Big Xii conference call, and the Monday presser.
