During his customary pre-game interview with Toby Rowland that is taped ahead of time, Bob Stoops said both Baker Mayfield and Samaje Perine have practiced all week. Additionally, Joe Mixon has also participated in practice since Wednesday and all three are expected to play Saturday night.
From @OU_CoachStoops: Baker Mayfield & Samaje Perine practiced all week. Joe Mixon has practiced since Wed. All expected to play vs. OSU.

While not necessarily unexpected, it’s certainly still good news for OU fans none the less.

First to say, good news!
Awesome news. Was worried if Mixon couldn’t go if Riley would shy away from the run game with Perine being banged up. Hopefully he ( and the oline) just pound the Pukes into submission.
Run, and then Run some more.
Glad to hear the good news. Part of me wishes Coach would have opted for a little gamesmanship here. Get the pukes hopes up that they were going to catch a bunch of back ups only to see the 3 horsemen running out the tunnel. I’m picturing Johnny Ringo when he realizes its Doc lol.
One of my all time favorites
Why Mike Gundy you look like someone just walked over your grave.
After the game with Gundy’s spikes wilted: You’re no daisy at all.
Poor soul. Was just too high-strung.
I’m afraid the strain was more than he could bare.
“I’m your huckleberry”, lol.
“Where’s Baker? Down by the river… walkin’ on water…”
You called down the thunder Gundy, well now you got it! You see that jersey? It says the mighty Sooners. The next time I see an orange jersey I kill the man wearing it. So run puke! Tell all the other pukes the Sooners are coming! You tell em Baker is coming! And hell is coming with him you hear? Hell is coming with him!

That’s it… watching Tombstone tonight for sure.

After going through our reminiscences here I just went over to you tube to pull up a couple of the better clips, lol. Still awesome all these years later.
You read my mind. I thought Stoops could start Knight and allow the Pokes to celebrate on the first series. Then, Baker takes off the headset and trots on the field… there’s your Heisman moment.
Awesome news. Let’s hope for a win and a month to heal up for the Playoff
I wonder how much baker will actually use his arm, With the weather as bad as promised.
Navy’s offense is sweet.
Houston looks pretty good, too. OU’s first game next year is the Cougars, in Houston.
Absolutely no one can accuse us of having a soft OOC schedule next year.
Noooo sir!
I really just don’t understand why small-time programs like Iowa State and Kansas don’t run the triple-option. I mean——-it’s not like they’re gonna beat out the OU’s of the world for the elite pass catchers and pro-style QB’s!
It takes tremendous discipline which is something in the culture / DNA of the academies and less at most other NCAA universities.
Also, cadets must meet height, weight, and body fat requirements of their branch of service and be able to pass their branch fitness test. Not a lot of 325 pounders out there with less than 20% body fat and able to run 2-3 miles at a 8 minute mile pace. The triple option helps offset size disadvantages with scheme and numbers.
Great news but I’m still concerned about how they will hold up throughout the game.
I wonder if Flowers will get a few carries?
He should, the weather would be to his advantage.
Someone expected, but great news just the same. Ready for this game to start now!
If there was one game I wanted good weather for, it was bedlam. I wanted no room for excuses, none of that. Gameday on hand and that stadium will be half empty.
Bad, cold weather would work in the Sooners favor since they have the much better running game.
Looks like weather is improving. Hopefully, cold but dry.
We need perfect weather so we can execute the entire offense.
