Open Post | Thursday, Aug. 4th

Fall Camp: It’s here folks! Fall camp began this morning.

Alex Dalton: Just a quick note on OU redshirt sophomore offensive lineman, Alex Dalton. TFB has been told Dalton received clearance for fall camp and is now fully recovered from the ACL injury he suffered last season. However, that clean bill of health did not last long. Fortunately, though, this most recent injury is nowhere near as serious as an ACL.

Evidently Dalton recently suffered a broken hand, which should not prevent him from taking part in fall camp as the expectation is they will put a cast on it and keep him out there. But between Dalton and Ben Powers, the Sooners are going to need someone to step up at the right guard spot. Because with Christian Daimler also expected to miss the early part of the 2016 season, the likelihood Bill Bedenbaugh goes ahead with the rumored possibility of sliding Dru Samia inside from right tackle seems less likely.

One other quick note on Dalton, several people TFB has spoke with feel things really started to click for him this spring and could be tough to keep off the field this season. Dalton is apparently quite a bit more athletic than some of the other interior linemen, according to what we’ve been told. – (Super K)

Johncarlo Valentin: Also with fall camp starting today, final word on Valentin’s status should come soon. We’re aware of what’s been floated out there (re: a possible JUCO situation) and have little reason to doubt it at this point, but are still working to get some kind of official word. We’ll keep you updated.

Howdy, Slim!! Everything well with ya?

47, did I upset you or something? You’ve stopped speaking to me. I’m sad, really, really, sad.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

No, Sir not at all. You have done nothing for me to be upset about. It is happening to me as well, lots of folks have stopped chatting it up with Ol’ 47!! It happened right after a ? I asked about Coach Thib, some people said it was a negative post. But the way I see it is if you do not know the answer to something you ask!!! Still waiting on their explanation of how it was negative. And the other night when you responded I had already logged out for the evening. But as you can see I do have a few that have blocked me. But hey that is what the feature is for.

          • SamSooner says:

Don’t let it bother you. I have theory on friends: the fewer friends I have, the happier I am because I’m spending less time trying to make people happy.

Oh, by the way, I had to unblock you to post this. LOL!

You have funny jokes today!!! And yes it is impossible to please everyone.

Oh, and turn that frown upside down!!!

          • SamSooner says:

You the man. What’s been going on?

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Well not to ramble, but the wife just had surgery, still dealing with probate on my Pop’s stuff and School that is about it. Just got through with Algebra passed with a 92% so I am still on the Deans honor roll. So that is a good thing.

          • SamSooner says:

Brains R Us, I see. Way to go 47.

I was going to ask you how school is going. Good to know you’re solid in the class. I’ll be rooting for you every step of the way.

Sorry to hear about the probate stuff: hang in there. In due time, I suppose.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

            What up with you?

        • Slim Sooner says:

You bet. Right as rain. Can’t wait for Sept. 3rd.

  • Birddawg says:

    first, BOOMER!!!!

  • Drew says:

    First!

  • Birddawg says:

    Need to stay healthy!
so does that leave Danly and Julius as our reserve Gs after Ford/Samia?

    • KJ1123 says:

Powers will be the starter at right guard when Dru is at tackle, but yes those will be the reserves, plus Alvarez will be a back up at left guard.

      • Randy says:

It is possible Dylan Hartsook or the FR Robertson getting some looks to back up 1s at the OG spots ? Both seem huge maybe not athletic enough ?

        • KJ1123 says:

Honestly, they’ll be scout teamers this year. Dont mean to sound negative but they aren’t even in the conversation afaik.

          • Randy says:

Kinda figured but thought I would ask. I like the depth on the OL need to keep healthy tho.

      • MikeyBoom says:

KJ, whats the overall impression on Powers,Ford and Alvarez at C in the starting OL? You think its an upgrade over Darlington at C, Alvarez at G and Kasitati at G last year

        • KJ1123 says:

Physically Alvarez is an upgrade, Ty always seemed to be carrying too much weight for his frame and Alvarez is stronger, mentally…Alvarez isn’t close to Ty yet. Nilas spot is the biggest hole imo. Nobody has shown that they can play the guard spot better than Nila yet. Dru at guard remains to be seen because he hasn’t played guard in a real game yet.

          • Coach JK says:

Yes, and we need to remember Eric Wrenn is a pretty darn good center. He was impressive in his limited time last year. I believe he is a walk-on from Mesquite.

          • KJ1123 says:

Yes he’s solidly behind Alvarez at center and when and if Alvarez has to slide over to left guard he’ll be taking over.

          • D Hunter Sanchez says:

This is alarming because when ever Baker was in trouble I’d see Nilas chasing his “man” in the backfield. I thought he was the weak link last year.

          • KJ1123 says:

            Exactly

        • Coach JK says:

There were also times last year when Nila and Ty got pushed around physically. Mentally they were sharp but lacked finishing power.

  • Matt says:

I love hearing about athletic guards, looking forward to seeing them mowing down linebackers.

  • SoonerfanTU says:

So remind me, what was the projected starting OL if Samia slid inside to OG? What is it likely if he stays at RT?

    • mizzOUstu702 says:

Someone correct me if I’m wrong, but with Samia at OG (and a healthy Daimler):
      LT – Orlando Brown
      LG – Cody Ford
      C – Jonathan Alvarez
      RG – Dru Samia
      RT – Christian Daimler

      If he stays at RT:
      LT – Orlando Brown
      LG – Cody Ford
      C – Jonathan Alvarez
      RG – Ben Powers
      RT – Dru Samia

      Sound about right?

      • KJ1123 says:

Hearing that Ashton has been getting a good amount of reps at left in front of Ford, but yeah that is how it was going to look.

      • SoonerfanTU says:

Thanks. Outside of Daimler and Samia, what other options do we have at RT? I really liked the idea of moving Samia inside, though I thought he performed pretty well at RT last year. Anything we can do to improve the oline is a good thing though.

        • KJ1123 says:

Evans and Quinn will be taking reps at RT.

          • wolfbuilder says:

Was just about to say don’t be shocked if bobby makes a push at Tackle

          • David Luc says:

From the time of his recruiting the only concern I had about Evans was filling out in body mass. Then the injury popped up. Hope he stays healthy, I think he’ll be a good ‘un.

          • wolfbuilder says:

Don’t let weight be one of ur main reasons u look past guys, just remember dru played RT at around 285 last year

          • soonerthunder says:

Me too. Since HS I always thought Evans might be a great one at OT.

  • Canada_KB says:

OU football snapchat posted a video of Dede Westbrook just roasting Jordan Thomas. Couldnt tell who QB was but was a perfect throw too.

  • ouwooferman says:

Looking forward to the Oklahoma Drill vids. Who will be slobber knocking first?

    • David Luc says:

Hopefully, they’ll do the drill this year. They didn’t do one last year as I recall.

Great update, most people don’t remember or didn’t know thay Alex was a big recruit and a high ranked one at that, had several good offers like Michigan st and Stanford and if I remember right had and tOSU offer at one time till he committed to ou and the tOSU signed anot her oline man

  • Soonerbred says:

Quick question…the context of the article suggests that the Samia move would be *more* likely and not *less*. Am I missing something?

Every year around August, a wonderful thing happens. Football is on the horizon, and the world starts to make sense again.

  • KJ1123 says:

Heard that Neville looked really good this morning.

    • SoonerFan92 says:

      THIS X 1000!!!!!!!

    • cpearc00 says:

Good. He’s got so much potential. I’d love to see it all realized.

      • SoonerFan92 says:

I would like to see the starting DL to be Gallimore, Romar/Overton and Walker on the other end.

        • bommer85 says:

agreed 100000%…Dimon is a senior but he may have been recruited over. best and baddest on the field for D please

          • SoonerFan92 says:

We need those highly recruited BIG boys to be out there to be completely dominate. That is, if they are ready to be out there.

        • JR says:

I agree on Gallimore and Walker on the ends but I want to see Lampkin get the start in the middle. Get some real size across the board. Romar and Overton would still get reps in middle along with Dimon and Roberts getting snaps on the Edge.

This is depending on if these players “earn” the spots.

          • Coach JK says:

            Don’t forget D.J. Ward

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

The ship has sailed on DJ. I’ve never been high on him. Sure he’s got the tools but he’s missing that thing that’s located between the ears.

          • D Hunter Sanchez says:

Agree. I just don’t want to see Dimon and Ward getting pushed back and biting on the read option any longer!

          • Coach JK says:

He saw some spot duty last year and played pretty well so I would expect him to see some quality time this year.

          • SoonerFan92 says:

I had his name in there before Romar and Overton, but I agree on the size issue. If he’s a legit 6’4″ 330 lbs then he would be a terror in the middle of the line.

          • Fear The Magic says:

If he can focus and get down to about 315lbs of muscle the sky is the limit for Lampkin.

          • SoonerFan92 says:

I don’t see why he would need to drop down to 315. The guys in the middle are usually monsters.

          • Fear The Magic says:

Considering that he came in last year at 307 Im just assuming that some of the 330 is bad weight.

          • SoonerFan92 says:

I’m not sure that he would be able to put on THAT much bad weight without the coaches laying into him.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Those big guys easily eat 3-5k calories a day. Could be bad weight but who knows? I’m sure Schmitty has done their body comps and everything already.

          • SoonerFan92 says:

But I’m definitely not an expert when it comes to that type of thing.

          • Fear The Magic says:

If he can focus and get down to about 315lbs of muscle the sky is the limit for Lampkin.

          • Matt says:

Romar is an excellent nose. Overton will probably be better one day but I guess the coaches don’t think he’s quite there yet. It sounds like Lampkin is playing End.

        • SoonerfanTU says:

Plenty of snaps to get them all the field. I don’t really care who starts as long as these guys are getting snaps throughout the game. Probably be nice to have a mix of experience and potential out there at all times. We certainly have the bodies to keep them all fresh.

        • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Been saying this since last season.

    • disqus_MGlT3IoZ53 says:

KJ – Have you heard anythign about Kelly? Heard he looked great out there

      • KJ1123 says:

Haven’t heard anything yet, but looking forward to seeing how he adjusts when the pads go on.

    • Jordan Esco says:

      no pads, but still….me likey

    • SoonerfanTU says:

I don’t mind starting guys like Dimon, Romar, and Wade, but I hope the young guys with the better potential earn snaps, and are given snaps. Guys like Walker, Lampkin, Overton, and Neville have the potential to be game changers.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Those first 3 guys you listed are all good teammates but they just aren’t big enough to take a pounding all game long. We have got to mix in gallimore, Overton and Lampkin. Walker and gallimore and the end positions is literally a NFL defensive front.

      • Sacramento Sooner says:

I think it’s similar to what our O line has been, our young guys are just better, finally getting the caliber player we need. Hope they start cracking the line up

    • Soonerfandave84 says:

My hope is he takes over the DL

    • Sacramento Sooner says:

Would like to see the lights come on for him this camp. He’ll be a handful for defenses when they do

  • ICommentOnThings says:

Every time I see a new Open Post in the morning:

  • SoonerFan92 says:

For some odd reason I thought that Overton was a little on the short side when it came to being a DT. Just realized while looking at the roster that he is listed at 6’1″ and Romar is 6″0″. He just looked short compared to the other D-Linemen for some reason.

  • bommer85 says:

is that “big boom” coming today??? i hate waiting

  • Thomas Lenard says:

Quinn Mittermeier looked good at guard in the spring game…..I sure hope he gets a chance.

  • Scott says:

I know Coach Cooks is implementing a new system for the DB’s. Key Starters get 70 snaps a game , Starters get 15-20 snaps a game. Hopefully we use that same system for OUr LB’s and Dline.

    • SoonerfanTU says:

We’ll see how that works out the first time the “starter” comes in and gets burnt in a close game.

I’m all for getting the 2nd string guys snaps. That is how they improve. But I don’t want our 3rd or 4th best corner out there getting beat for a TD due to this system, in a close game. And make no mistake about it, we’re going to be in at least a couple of close games during our first 5 games.

    • Boo says:

I’m all for this throughout the defense too! Fresh bodies with questionably less talent should outperform greater talent that is gassed.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Exactly. Plus it establishes debt throughout the entire defense which is so critical. I think we have the players to implement a system as such and I believe it would help us both this season as well as future seasons. Any experience is better than no experience for our young pups.

    • David Luc says:

The term ‘flex’ defense has already been taken by a different system, but in a contemporary context this is very much what Cooks is referring to. Me likee. The only problem with it is getting the ‘gel’ or ‘chemistry’ among the players to the level you want. If we can manage this angle of it – good deal all around.

  • wolfbuilder says:

After looking with bobby at 308 I think he out weights dru but u never know who will step up

  • Matt says:

sounds like Dede is going to be a big time deep threat this season. That would be nice to have a dominant deep threat to take the top off the defense again. I think that’s another way to replace Shep, have one or two guys that can take the top off the defense and allow the other guys who are shiftier route runners to produce underneath. Shep could do both and allow everyone else to do what they were good at.

    • OUWade says:

plus, imagine what that can do for the run game when those safeties have to start running to the sideline to help their corners.

      • CPSooner says:

Or the CB covering the WR has no clue the plays a run. Remember when that okie light CB was clueless on that long Perine TD b/c Westbrook continued in his deep sideline route. By the time the CB realized it, it was too late!!!

        • J.r. Kamm says:

What was funny was that Dede was WAY out of bounds yet the OSU CB kept up with him. Hilarious!!

    • Sacramento Sooner says:

Agreed. That would change a lot, open run game, & really keep those safeties back

    • SoonerfanTU says:

I just hope he is a stronger route runner this year. He got bullied at times last year, and taken out of games. Can’t happen this year.

  • Matt says:

I’m wondering why OU has never really used jet sweeps. That seems like something perfect for Brooks and Neal seemed like he would’ve been great at that.

I was just thinking when I saw the snapchat this morning, Mead always looking really good in camp. Outside of Dede and Lewis, I’m not sure who else was running with the ones, but I hear pretty much everyone got reps.

      • Indy_sooner says:

Really hope Dahu and/ AD Miller can establish themselves. Dahu in particular had that route running part down. Also, don’t sleep on Jarvis Baxter.

    • SoonerinLondon says:

I’d love to see Mead come through, as I’ve been a fan of his from the beginning, but he needs to catch the ball. The kid busts his ass blocking, but he’s being paid to catch.

  • Jason Vos says:

Just curious who is the back up to Orlando Brown @ LT?

    • Fear The Magic says:

My uneducated guess is that Samia would swing over to LT and either Evans or a healthy Daimler would go RT

      • Jason Vos says:

I heard Orso-Bacchus was the backup. Don’t know if thats true or not is the reason I ask

        • KJ1123 says:

Orso most likely wont be in the rotation with the 1’s. But at one point during the off-season he was getting reps there as well.

      • KJ1123 says:

Samia can play left if he had to, but Brown doesn’t really have a “true” backup. However, Evans would be the natural fit there. I believe he played left all through HS.

      • Wade Durham says:

Has to do with the land rush. Sooners sneaked across the starting line and marked the land they wanted. Boomers were honest and waited until the guns were fired. April/22/1889. That’s why our haters call us land thieves.

        • SoonerinLondon says:

Lol. I know what Boomers and Sooners are, I just never heard “home of the boomer sooner”. It’s more commonly “home of the Sooners”.

I see most position groups being better this year. Lot of talent, depth, and development

Question: Are there any position groups you think may not be as good at the end of this year as they were at the end of last year? (i.e. linebacker if you don’t believe we’ll be as good this year)

    • cpearc00 says:

Potentially cornerback and receivers for me. I think there won’t be a huge dropoff at linebacker.

      • Boom says:

I think LB will be much improved over last year with more depth. We may not have a striker but overall as a group they will be more improved. My .02

      • Fear The Magic says:

I think WRs will be improved. We lose big time in Shep but so much young talent and depth I have to think that a few of them will come through.

        • soonerthunder says:

Agreed. I think we can go to lots of guys at go-to times now, not just one primarily.

      • SoonerMagic76 says:

        Receivers definitely came to mind.

Cornerback, I think we could be better. I know Sanchez was good and a ball hawk, but he certainly got burned a lot.

      • SoonerfanTU says:

Yep, WR, CB, and LB in that order. Not sure there is much risk in any other position not being as good or better than last year.

        • soonerthunder says:

I think we’ll be better at WR all year than last. More depth, more time in the system. We were learning the system at this time last year; most make their biggest jump between the first and second year of PT. Andrews is different WR but may not be less important in terms of effectiveness for the O. I think Westbrook is a stud, see big jump with him and Baxter and a bunch of the backups. I think we will be alright with whomever we put on the field about 8 deep.

It’s CB and CB backups for me. LB think will be an improvement with Tay over Alexander, and think we’ll have better athleticism at Striker position, and perhaps better coverage skills, but not sure better yet.

I think the Oklahoma drill has seen its last fall camp. They didn’t do it at all last season.

    • KJ1123 says:

That’s going to be fun to watch. Missed not having it last year.

    • SoonerinLondon says:

Are they still doing the Oklahoma drill? I thought BS dropped it.

Btw, I’m coming to London in late Oct for 15 days. Other than the NLD, I have no plans. What should I see/do?

  • SamSooner says:

Well, imitation is the greatest form of flattery:

    • KJ1123 says:

Unless Schnellenberger, Jimmy or Butch are coming back, they wont be winning anything anytime soon.

      • Fear The Magic says:

Yep, the Canes are ancient history but good luck to the kid.

        • SamSooner says:

I was really pointing out the “sqUad17” thing. Copy cats. OU has been spot on with its social media marketing.

        • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

So then our last natty is ancient history?

          • SamSooner says:

That’s different. Fear is talking about something, totally, separate. LOL!

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Well then clearly I’m not following what he’s saying lol.

          • SamSooner says:

            Ha! Ha!

            What’s up, Vegas?

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I’ve been in Napa since Sunday with my dad and uncle for our NPC conference and its been meh. I didn’t qualify for a free trip like my dad and uncle did so I’m kind of regretting spending the money to make this trip. When I get back I’m sure I’ll be busy but then Bella wants to go see her family for a “long weekend” ( 4 days ) then I’ll be gearing up to head to Houston with my parents so we can meet my sister for the UH OU game. Busy month a head but it’s all worth it lol. Are you and the family done with traveling for the summer or do y’all have any more trips planned?

          • SamSooner says:

            You’re busy.
I hear Napa is awesome. What’s the NPC conference?

We’re essentially done for the summer. However, we do have a camping trip up at Kelly’s Island soon. Kelly’s Island is north of Sandusky, Ohio, in Lake Erie, right off the Ohio coast.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Napa is beautiful. It’s my first time here and I wouldn’t mind coming here again. I played a course called Chardonnay two days ago and man those greens were prestine, but extremely difficult. NPC is our broker dealer. National planner corporation. They host a conference/ event every year for their top advisors. If you aren’t a top advisor you can purchase a discounted package to allow you to come which is what I did. Camping is so much fun, but my lady isn’t exactly into it and none of my friends here in town are into camping so it’s been a while. I bet it’s beautiful up there during this time of year.

          • SamSooner says:

Keep playing golf. How did you hit them?

Kelly’s Island is beautiful. Peaceful and quiet. You have to catch a ferry over, that’s expensive, but it’s a good get away.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I can smash the ball on any given day but my short game can be disastrous on any given day! Lol. I didn’t putt too well. I had 3, 3 puts and 1, 4 put that killed my score. Throughout high school my dad made me pick between baseball or golf bc my swings started to overlap each other so I chose baseball. I’ve been back into golf for about 3 years now and it’s a lot of fun. My dads family grew up in Michigan so I’ve been up north a few times but those trips were all when I was pretty young. I need to get up there soon and experience everything. I’m definitely going to try and make the trip to Columbus next year for the game.

          • SamSooner says:

You let me know about making the trip to Columbus. My wife and I, along with Max, will be there. Let’s make sure we get together.

          • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Vegas, unfortunately anything that happened in the past is HISTORY!!! But hey we are on the #chase4eight as we speak!!!

          • Fear The Magic says:

Yes our last natty is ancient history as well but our multiple conference championships and 11-1, 10-2 type seasons are not ancient history.

          • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

            🙂

      • SamSooner says:

I agree. Richt couldn’t get it done at UGA, with all of that NFL talent he was pulling in the $EC, and he won’t get it done in Miami. There is too little appeal.

      • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

I watched ” the U part 2″ yesterday lol. Thank god we played Florida state rather than Miami, cuz if not then we would have lost lol.

      • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Ahhh, good old Schnelly. He never lost to Texsa. So that is a plus in my book.

  • Vegas_Sooner21 says:

Are all the fall practices allowed to be full contact and padded? If we practice hard we play hard. I want our dudes going full speed at each other. Obviously I don’t want any injuries, but we need to have that intensity turned up to the max. Kyler, you better be mimicking GWjr to the max!

“It’s not the conference’s job to make that university better,” Patterson said. “It’s the university’s job to make the conference better, whether it’s in football, academics, whatever it is.” Gary Patterson (well said)

K has a post up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No kidding.

  • MikeyBoom says:

If anyone is interested in the OU/Ohio St. tickets I will be selling both of mine. Section 16 row 32 end row seats. They are really good lower seats behind the north endzone closer to the OU sideline. I don’t know how much I want for the pair so shoot me an offer lol

  • 47 Straight OU Know says:

Where in the Sam Hill Tarnation is Metz at today?

  • Walter Sobcek says:

I’m so excited for football to start I may have to take sedatives. Then, of course, when I watch the games I have to take sedatives. So, basically, I need sedatives.

  • Katyboomer says:

What day is the OL from Louisiana coming for a visit/practice this week? Anybody heard anything more on where Creed stands with TA&M after all that occurred?

    • KJ1123 says:

If I remember right I thought I read Friday.

      • Katyboomer says:

Thanks KJ. What do you think about Creed?

        • SamSooner says:

          KJ would know.

          Give it up, KJ.

        • KJ1123 says:

I like him, he’s a tough competitor, finishes well, plays with a low base and fires out of his stance nicely. He’s a little stiff laterally but still moves well. He’d make a great guard for us. I think he would need to go through our off season program (RS) to lose some of the baby fat and pack on some muscle but he’s got really good potential.

  • Zach Evans says:

Looks like it was Kendall that threw the nice ball to Dede https://twitter.com/ou_football/status/761269307078615040

https://www.facebook.com/saved/?cref=28 Check out my 10 yr old Grandson in Florida. He is a good running back.

    • J.r. Kamm says:

Can’t get the link to work, Wade. Could be because my government computer is blocking it though.

      • Wade Durham says:

Sorry J. r. My son-in-law put it on facebook and I copied and pasted it. Try it at home. He is worth watching.

  • Jordan Esco says:

K says you’re getting some practice notes in the wknd OP 🙂

    • Sooner Ray says:

      Allowed.

      YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    • KJ1123 says:

Umm duh…everyone did…again I dont care what Briles tries to say he knew to some degree or another.

      • Boom says:

Briles was instructing his coaches as to what and what not to say. Keep winning at any cost.

      • Slim Sooner says:

As did the coordinators and assistants who are miraculously still employed.

  • Tom Turman says:

Anyone know if Reggie Turner was at the first practice today? I know he is enrolled, but he isn’t listed on the roster yet. I see where Quint Scoufos was added, but still no Turner.

  • Jason Vos says:

Hey super k or KJ. Anyone know who the KR and PR’s are?

    • KJ1123 says:

Just saw some tweets. Baxter, M Jones, Mixon and Dede got reps.

      • D Hunter Sanchez says:

Why Mixon? Please Bob, put Anderson, if any of the backs. Losing Murray may have cost a 2007 shot at a natty i.e. we could have come from behind and beat Tech with him in the game and against Florida. I’ll okay Mixon if we are fair catching again this year! Please don’t respond that you can’t play scared. It’s about having two backs who can produce out of the backfield.

        • Walter Sobcek says:

I agree. No sense in risking a starter. Especially since we have so much RB talent riding the pine. Get some fresh legs in there and let them actually return the ball,

      • Troy says:

I like what that says about Mixon’s hands.

  • Coach JK says:

K or anyone else heard any word on where JohnCarlo Valentin wound up?

  • AltoidSooner says:

So according to Jake Trotter, since Russ resigned with the Thunder, we are bringing home that 8th FOOTBALL NATTY!!!

  • OohRah Mama says:

HUGE relief for me as a longtime RW fan. I’ll be inconsolable if he leaves OKC.

  • Jordan Esco says:

Are the comments back to normal (or at least normal for disqus)?

  • Lane Gilstrap says:

Anyone know when the next practice is?

  • Jesse says:

We will have football back on tv this Sunday. And sundenly, everything is starting to feel normal again.

  • KJ1123 says:

First day of practice….still no tater tots. I guess hes not coming back.

    • D Hunter Sanchez says:

Hard to believe but Shep was underrated while in College. Only Herbie mentioned in the same breath with the LSU/Bama guys. But he is gearing up for a run at rookie of the year!

      • Sooner Ray says:

We always knew what we had, nice to see him turn NFL heads.

      • SoonerinLondon says:

Herbie actually said he was the best WR in college football. Herbie does support BS and the Sooners.

        • Walter Sobcek says:

Yes, he does. Perhaps because the Stoops are Ohio guys? He’s the best thing espn has going for it. Indeed, you may remember, he picked the Sooners to make the playoffs last season.

          • SoonerinLondon says:

I know that BS and Herbie’s families have vacationed together in the past. I think the Ohio guys stick together.

  • Bob Edwards says:

A PSA for those of you who dislike GIF’s and videos on your feeds. If you click on the little arrow next to you name there is an option “Hide Media” this appears to hide all images and videos.

    • Sooner Ray says:

I recently noticed that option in the user profile menu but wasn’t sure what it disabled, hoped it was ads. I like most videos and gif’s are fine if they go along well with a comment. Good to know though.

      • Bob Edwards says:

I don’t mind them most of the time, but some people have complained so I thought I would point it out. It’s easier to use the technology than to convince everyone to do it a certain way.

  • Jason Vos says:

Is Dahu Green’s height wrong? He is listed at 6’4, but looks taller than Andrews listed @ 6’5
