RECRUITING
I’ve seen several requests in the comments for a spring game visitor list, so I’m going to work on putting one together. My only thing with these is plans tend to change so I usually prefer to wait until closer to the actual event to ensure the list is as accurate as I can make it. But I’ll spend time mining Twitter for all the names I can find and have something up by Friday. Cool?
According to Rivals’ Adam Gorney, OU recently received a visit from 2015 QB Kyle Kearns. (Twitter)

At this point there is very little Les Miles could do that would surprise me. I’m told this was for some type of charity event, but I’m guessing Les didn’t need much prodding.

Some more stuff that didn’t make it into the post.
2015 OU commit Du’Vonta Lampkin picked up a Texas offer yesterday.

Soon-to-be OU WR, Mark Andrews.

Dude was seriously close to disaster there. The collar slipped on the left side when he was doing the snatch, and that plate almost came off.
I really do not like his Form… Had a rounded back on the Bent Over Rows and just throwing the weight up for the snatch lift. Snap City. OU S&C will fix that.
…. and he wants to be a Wide Receiver?
2014 signee Dwayne Orso coming to the spring game.

Saw that about the Ultimate Warrior this morning. I would have been about 8 or so when he was really popular. I was a big time wrasslin’ fan then, he was one of my favorites. Right next to Sting.

Whoa. Can you imagine the other team outkicking the coverage, and Keith Ford building a head of steam returning the punt?
Keith Ford w/ that kind of head of steam might hospitalize someone.
Yeah he will be the Offensive Version of Ronnell “The Hammer” Lewis going all Kamikaze on kick-off returns
The scary thing for other teams is that our most natural returner may not even be on campus yet.
Can’t help but think back to Demarco’s opening kick off return in the 2008 Big 12 Championship game. We missed him badly against Florida.
Mr. Horse speaks for me about using our starting RB for kick offs.
Would be real shocked if we see those two back there together come August. That will be a good spot for Ross especially if he can’t secure a starting role in the backfield.
They should give Daniel Brooks or David Smith a shot.

Mixed message there, it looks like he is using “The One” hand sign.
Me, I’m using the “fingers crossed” hand sign.
Really looking forward to your Spring visitors list this Friday. Hope Fehoko can make it. Thanks for all the info from this site.
Notice the tortillas tossers have their prospects pose with their flashy uniforms and a mannequin. That’s what’cha gotta do when there ain’t nothin’ in yo trophy case but some sand and a pet turtle.
is he still visiting OU while he is on the mainland?

Anyone want to set the over/under on attendance. No doubt it will be more than the 2500 in stoolwater. Which that should be the end of their fans saying they’re die hards and ou is all fair weather fans.
Pending weather, I’ll say around 10k but the school will “announce” 15-20k.
I am going rain or shine.
I would I would set over under at 15k
That field design is horrible.
Thanx Jordan! I enjoy the read. Strange field design but I like that “OKLAHOMA” is spelled out in each end zone.
I looked at the field design again and find that I prefer the white OKLAHOMA on a red background. Also the state diagram in the middle of the field can go.
I like the film on kearns. Only guy I can think to compare him to is jay cutler it just looks effortless. Hopefully he develops better decision making than cutler. I don’t think ou has to get a dual threat guy especially if the guy is deadly accurate.
Kearns receivers, especially #1 and #2, made some nice catches on many of his throws. He does have a strong arm though.
Yeah ou is recruiting #2 that’s Isaiah Langley I think as a corner though.

Love the field for the spring game; looks great.
Of course I’m an old schooler and was hoping they would bring back the diamond shapes in the end zone. Always loved that look.
That’s interesting because I didn’t like that one. Perspective, I guess.
No prob.
I remember it from the 50’s when Bud was kicking butt.
This thread has slowed down, so I hope no one minds a little off topic.
I was watching College Football Live Monday evening and they showed a clip of the wHorns spring training and they were doing the “Texas Drill.” Thank the Good Lord they use that name because it would have been an embarrassment to call it the “Oklahoma Drill.” Their “Drill” was just about the wimpiest-woosieist contact drill I have ever witnessed. We hit harder in the “Oklahoma Drill” when I was in the 8th grade and that was a long time ago. They were doing the one thing that our coaches would have given us 25 stands for, “Rooster Fighting.” Then the announcers were 00hing and aahing about how Strong is bringing back “toughness” to the wHorns.
Then, as if that wasn’t bad enough to induce fluid discharge from both ends, they chatted about the best logos in college football. Joe Schad gushed about the wHorns logo on their helmets. Seriously Joe? What, you have unresolved uterus envy?
I’ve always wondered what they called the Oklahoma Drill down there. LSU calls it the Big Cat Drill. Most every other college I’ve seen calls it the Oklahoma Drill though.
I think it is something brand new to them and am glad they call it that. What I saw on the clip looked like some Austin hair dressers fighting with wet nails.
You’re not ever too far off topic Tex and even if you want to be it is fine by me. Once things have slowed down, I say “should have been here earlier”. I’m glad they are not bringing any disgrace to our great State by using our name for their chicken fighting drill.
Thanks bruh.
Though I hate to disrespect the honorable (and tasty) Gallus Domesticus by associating them with what I saw.
There is only one “Oklahoma drill”..everyone knows where it came from
Henh.
I don’t know what Scar is, but their seemed to be a lack of ____’s in the fight.
Now I get it…South Carolina.
JY has a new piece up btw.
I don’t like how Kyle will throw into double our triple coverage. Maybe it’s confidence or just wants the ball out of his hands. His release looks a bit slow as well.
PJ offered by Texas. Anyone know how interested he is in them?
