2016 CB Parrish Cobb Decommits From Oklahoma (UPDATE 6:35 pm)

According to a report from OU Insider, 2016 cornerback Parrish Cobb (Waco, TX) has decommitted from the University of Oklahoma. TFB is working to confirm this report and will update you one way or the other as soon as possible.

Following a visit to Baylor this past weekend, there had been some optimism on the OU side of things that the Sooners would still be able to hang on to Cobb but assuming this report to be accurate that is evidently no longer the case.

Oklahoma is still expected to sign a solid defensive back class, but the loss of Cobb isn’t simply one to gloss over. He is a very talented athlete who some would argue could have a bright future on either side of the ball at the next level.

One would expect (1) Cobb is now pretty likely to stay close to home at select Baylor at his announcement tomorrow and (2) the OU coaching staff will even further increase their pursuit of Jared Mayden. Who as many of you know is an OU legacy and announcing his choice tomorrow on NSD between OU and Alabama.

– UPDATE (11:11 am): So now Josh McCuistion of SoonerScoop is denying that Cobb has decommitted.

– UPDATE (11:22 am): From what we can gather, the consensus seems to be that while an actual decommit may have not technically taken place the expectation at this time is Cobb will select Baylor when he announces tonight around 6pm (CT).

If anything changes between now and then and/or more information becomes available, we will be sure to update you at that time.

– UPDATE (11:30 am):

– UPDATE (6:35 pm): That’s a wrap.

Time will tell how bad of a miss this one is. I suspect it will prove to be a miss. Bummer!

You can’t really further increase your pursuit. It’s a dead period. He’d have to contact the coaches..

    • Jordan Esco says:

It’s my understanding if you’ve sent a kid an NLI then you are free (w/in some sort of rules, of course) to contact them.

Trying to find support for that online somewhere, but I’ve seen it referenced multiple times by others in the last couple days.

Dang, good luck to him. Hello Mayden!

  • Glocal Sooner says:

If this is true, I stand by my original comment from yesterday where everyone jumped on me. My instincts were right. I knew I shouldn’t have backed off those comments on him. I know, let the kids have fun. Let them enjoy the attention. OU players enjoy attention on the field, not on social media. That stuff is for Texas and Baylor kids.

  • Brandon Hargraves says:

Doesn’t sting as bad knowing the talent/depth of last year’s DB class.. But makes Mayden all the more important this year

  • SoonerGray says:

I will never understand anyone choosing to play for Baylor or live in Waco over the Sooners and Norman. Just so strange. Good luck to the young man.

  • Carl Carter says:

Thanks to all the good news of other recruits today I’m feelin pretty saucy (good) about tomorrow. We’ll see ya Cobb.. When OU is at the top again next season

  • Brad Warren says:

Not surprised a bit by this news. Ronnie Millsap even saw it coming.

  • Malicong says:

I don’t like this at all but if his heart wasn’t in playing for OU then this is certainly for the best for all parties. Good luck to you Mr. Cobb.

  • curt gomer says:

Any thoughts to why he didnt just wait a day and pick BU?

  • Higgs Boson says:

    Wtf?

  • SoonerfanTU says:

If we land Mayden, I don’t see this as that big of a loss. Especially if it then frees up a spot for somebody else we’ve been pursuing. Kid probably went and got a girlfriend during his last year of HS, and now wants to stay home.

Not to sound too bitter; but I can’t wait until the day Baylor gets hit with sanctions over this rape stuff. I honestly don’t see how Briles survives it.

    • Jordan Watts says:

Thats not going to happen ever lol! The staff mishandled the situation poorly but they didn’t actually rape anyone, its not like Briles was encouraging rape, in fact he really didn’t have much to do with it. It’s going to impact the AD and University more than it would ever effect Football. Word of advice, don’t wish bad things on people out of spite.

  • Jason Vos says:

my question is why make a decommit thread if it was not confirmed. Wouldnt it be better to make sure it was confirmed first b4 making one of these?

    • Jordan Esco says:

There are reports from others all the time. Referencing it as such, as we did, is a common practice. News is fluid, especially when it comes to recruiting.

If you want to be mad at someone, be mad at the person who reports incorrect information (IF that’s what happened here). We’re just the messenger in this situation.

    • Brad Warren says:

Again, bro – this is a FREE site. Why complain about anything? Everything we get here is gravy.

  • Brad Warren says:

He’s already off our commitment list on 247

  • PlayLikeaChampion says:

Why even make a DECOMMIT thread? Just add it to the open post and not clutter the site with negative vibes Football Brainiacs. Use those Brainiacs, LOL!

  • Randy says:

Not the worst thing, losing a talented kid hurts but probably (depending/counting on Mayden and keeping J Parker and P Motley commited) really need to use that spot for a RB or WR.

  • PlayLikeaChampion says:

Cobb – 5’10” 4.6 Highly ranked, but you either have size or speed.

  • Hotrod33 says:

I know it’s just rumor but if we really haven’t heard from the kid or his family himself then we all can just assume one way or the other he is or isn’t. That’s all we can do at this point.

  • SamSooner says:

If this is true, it’s the other side of the coin of “de-committing.”

I wish the young man well. This is obviously up to him but if his heart isn’t in Norman, he won’t reach his potential. I wish him wealth, health and happiness.

Things are so different today. When I committed to my school I was proud to do so and told anyone who would listen. I don’t see the reason for all the added faux suspense if you know where you want to play ball.

    • KJ1123 says:

Unfortunately its become a popularity contest and an ego stroker for some kids. They should just be proud and thankful.

      • PlayLikeaChampion says:

It’s always been this way, you just have direct access to it from social media. Switzer tells stories that would spin your head. Love to have seen that on social media. Ha!

      • hOUligan says:

It’s a self-absorbed ‘selfie’ generation of kids who compete for ‘likes’. Love what you said about a kid recognizing his physical ‘gifts’ and work ethic making him proud and thankful. And those are the kids that we (coaches and fans) want on their team and at their institution.

      • Wilson says:

True. For the most part OU has recruited and signed talented kids with good character. A lot of team players. I hope they continue to look for those young men who are talented, coach-able and of good character. I hope OU never sells the farm over star ratings alone. There are so many young talented recruits with tons of potential that don’t get a look. A lot of them end up at smaller schools or lesser P-5 schools, but later make their hay in the NFL. Boise State, Coastal Carolina, Kansas, Tulane, Troy, Nevada, Colorado State each have at least 2 players playing in this years Super Bowl. Wonder how many of those were overlooked 2 and 3 star players? Regardless if they are 5 stars, 4 stars, 3 stars or below. Get them on campus. Bring out that thing that can’t be measured. Coach them up. Get them to play with fire, passion and determination for the Crimson and Cream and the rest will work itself out. Boomer!

The Cobb drama is silly actually, the fact he verbally committed and has an announcement party tonight pretty much says it all. IMO, you do gloss over this situation because what do you do, find a corner and suck your thumb, or move on and fill the spot with someone else?

    • CPSooner says:

Absolutely….Mayden>Cobb anyway so hopefully this opens the door a tad wider for him to be a Sooner!

Maybe it is just me, but I would rather have a kid who really wants to be a Sooner. I understand the back and forth in trying to make a decision, but it also (to me) shows uncertainty about who he wants to identify with. If he wants to play for Baylor I respect his decision, along with any other recruit who flips to another school. I wish them well, especially as I watch the Sooners win another Big 12 title.

I guess that it is Baylor is the part that disgust me, I could see Texas, USC, Tennessee or Auburn. What that university did to those girls, and the coverup with the whole program makes is in human.

    • Dana Rogers says:

Oh, there will be a reckoning…

    • DrewChubbs says:

The sad thing is that the girls are just the most recent transgression. I was telling a friend of mine, a good Christian girl that is maybe a little naive, about Baylor’s athletic history. She was commenting about how money and football success was getting in the way of Baylor’s spiritual mission. She was unaware of the sexual assaults or the murder of the basketball player by another basketball player several years ago. I made the comment that Baylor, as a Christian institution, sold their souls a long time ago.

  • Andy Fox says:

This may sound funny but give A.J. Parker a call. He does not come with all the hoopla but he is a phenomenal athlete and he wants to be a Sooner bad. I’ll take local kids any day with this much passion for the program and great athletic ability. If Snyder is willing to take him, he is the right kind of kid and player.

    • Mark_in_VA says:

Yup. How many kids has the Wizard of Manhattan taken out of OK and made into stars? If the coaches ask me, I’ll agree! 🙂

    • SamSooner says:

Andy, I like what you’ve posted. And the last sentence sums it up: “If Snyder is willing to take him, he is the right kind of kid and player.”

    • Randy says:

Yep, or they could have stuck with Maurice Chandler.. Would have been nice to have a ready CB next year.

    • Clint Lenard says:

If OU could just be Kansas State…

      • Andy Fox says:

        Why you a K-State fan?

        • Clint Lenard says:

OU isn’t in the business of coming in 3rd-5th place in the Big 12 and sending a player to the NFL every few years. I’m good with losing Cobb and picking up Mayden vs. a ‘local kid’ who might be good enough to play at K-State.

          • Andy Fox says:

I can go for that, but I believe he is good enough to play for us and if he would have played at a more prominent school may have gotten more opportunities. I think you undervalue someone wanting to play for their state school, that has talent. But to each his own! Have a blessed day

          • Super Keith says:

I understand what you’re saying, but there are literally hundreds of kids in Oklahoma each year that would love to play for OU. I don’t know anything about Parker, but I suspect he’s known by the OU staff, and simply wasn’t considered good enough to play at OU. That’s not to say the staff hasn’t ‘missed’ on kids before, but I think they have a pretty good idea what they’re looking for and I’ll defer to them. That said, I hope Parker goes on to have a great college career.

          • Andy Fox says:

I’m sure your right about that. I too hope he has a great career! Thanks for all you do for this site.

Losing out to Baylor?…ugh I hope Briles is gone soon, DFW area is our prime recruiting ground.

  • Sooner Jay says:

Hello NCAA, you don’t go from cellar dweller for many decades to the top without impropriety. Hint: SMU in the 80’s. Doesn’t take common sense to see you need to get off your butts, and turn that program and support system upside down. I can believe TCU’s success, only because they were in top 2 of the Mountain West for years before they joined the BigXII. Freakin Baylor give me a break!

  • SamSooner says:

Do not let this news have you forget the weekend success. This is a marathon. Keep plodding forward, inch by inch and step by step. Crawl if you have to but whatever you do, do stop. This is still a great day. Success is right around the corner.

  • DCinAZ says:

Not sure how to go about it but we need to do a better job of feeling out whether recruits really want to be here or if they’re just reserving a spot until some sh*tty Texas school offers them that they’re more interested in. We shouldn’t be anybody’s parking spot until they get an offer from an inferior Texas school because they’re a moron who buys into all that Texas nativism hubris.

  • Tim A says:

  • KJ1123 says:

K thanks for staying on top of this.

  • Maverick says:

    Welp. That sucks.

Please have some class people. No one was calling Jackson names for flipping. I get that it hurts, but bashing a kid doesn’t seem right.

That said, I hope he goes 0-4 with no stats against us.

  • Maverick says:

At least we still have Jean Delance right guys??

The hardest part on this one is that he’s been committed for so long.

  • CcrBoomer says:

not worried. Rape University will be on probation before long and Charlie’s job is hanging by a thread. Seriously doubt he see’s 2017 at Texas. OU is the place to be if you want be your best and have the opportunities to play for Champioships and play a real OOC. Your either in or out the way i see it

  • TSFFKAG says:

Here’s a good rumor: Cobb “decommitted” because Mique Juarez took his scholly.

  • Maranatha846 says:

I’m sure our coaches are not surprised by this and have a plan.

    • Stephen Dale says:

if OU loses Mayden to Alabama as many expect , its on to 2017…….no backup plan at CB………….

  • soonerinks says:

I just don’t get it. When a recruit flips to OU it is all good, but when one chooses to de-commit from OU and chooses another school we start blasting the young man. It is strictly their decision and our desires are not a part of it. Stay classy, Sooners

  • Andrew says:

Don’t you guys think their is another able bodied player that will sign tomorrow? If the kid wants to go somewhere else, alright, let him go, say good luck and on to the next. As a coach, there is absolutely no room to blast a KID for changing his mind about a decision that will shape the rest of his life (Not to mention we are supposed to be the adults).

  • Corey says:

You win some and you lose some. Only the mighty will survive!

  • Maverick says:

If this was 1974, Cooks would’ve had Cobb holed up in a motel room somewhere since last week and the Baylor visit never happens, lol. Oh and we would be signing 100 people or so.

  • SoonerOracle737 says:

I’m decommitting from this thread. Out.

  • Slim Sooner says:

Just my thoughts and opinion on Parrish Cobb – he’s a talented player and I hate to lose him at this late date to Baylor or Texsa. From what Super K indicated Parrish wanted Texsa and Mr. Cobb wanted OU, so Baylor (home) is the compromise. Parrish has remained committed until now, but not in his heart. We only need young men who WANT to be here and truly appreciate the opportunity to play for the University of Oklahoma. I have been holding on to hope that he had #OUDNA, but he has to make his own choices, or compromises whatever they may be. So I’m just going to wish him luck in his future and hope he has made the right decision for him. No doubt OUr team will be fine, so there’s no need to disparage a kid for changing his mind even though he took the drama to the very end! We are ecstatic to flip a player we want, so we honestly can’t then criticize one of ours for flipping. Fair is fair.

    • Soonerfandave84 says:

People bashing him need to stop, have some class and decency. The kid is staying close to home and he doesn’t owe us an explanation to his reasoning. Young Mr. Cobb have a good one and God bless.

      • DCinAZ says:

I don’t see a lot of people bashing Cobb. Some of you guys are way over the top with the drama. All that aside, decommiting right before the dead period and leaving us hanging after being a long time commit is a bullsh*t move no matter how much you spin it with the “he’s a kid” nonsense.

        • Soonerfandave84 says:

What drama? The one where I said have a good day? God bless? Oh, you mean the one about fans who have an opinion about someone else’s life that you do not know or know anything about, except that he decided not to play football for the Oklahoma Sooners?

          • DCinAZ says:

LOL!!! No the drama about some of you guys obsessively bashing posters here for not complying with what you feel is the proper rainbows and unicorns response to any slightly negative situation. I don’t see a lot of backlash against Cobb but for some reason you’re creating that false reality so you can elevate yourself above these straw man posters anyway. It’s interesting to read.

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

            yep, you got me

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

            from below

What a clown Cobb must be.

We shouldn’t be anybody’s parking spot until they get an offer from an inferior Texas school because they’re a moron(from you)

but by all means tell me no is bashing

          • DCinAZ says:

So? One poster says something and its an epidemic that requires you to address that forum and lecture us on staying classy?

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

No need in bashing a kid.

          • DCinAZ says:

So take it up with that individual poster if you feel you’re in the position to correct their behavior. Or do you just enjoy herding cats?

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

Gotcha, yes I am not a mod on this site. The only reason you even replied to me is because you feel I am attacking you because as I posted above you were below calling recruits who stay in Texas, morons. But hey, you feel free to rationalize it how you see fit.

          • DCinAZ says:

I don’t feel like you’re attacking me at all. My point is, for all the “negative posts” I see on here, I see twice as many “negative posts” bashing posters here for “being negative”. I just don’t understand the compulsion to attempt to drive people’s behavior on a public forum. It’s herding cats and an ineffective waste of time.
The moderators can handle post quality just fine and keep it within the guidelines set forth on this site. We don’t need a bunch of mall cops running around the comments section on their segways issuing citations for posts that don’t comply with their personal beliefs.

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

You ever rode a segway? It’s fun, just don’t get caught by your friends.

          • DCinAZ says:

No I haven’t. I don’t see that working out well for me. Think Mike Tyson’s recent video.

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

            The hoverboard?

          • DCinAZ says:

Exactly. Isn’t a hoverboard just a segway without handle bars? I need handle bars…….and a bell I can ring to warn people in my path.

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

the bell is a great idea

          • Maverick says:

So saying “stay classy” is bashing posters? Everyone is entitled to an opinion. If you haven’t seen people bashing Cobb, you haven’t read everything. Its just a general comment though, includes people doing it on Twitter, etc.

I don’t think anyone likes the state of recruiting and the charades that happen. But to use an old saying, “Don’t hate the playa, hate the game”.

          • DCinAZ says:

I agree. Everybody IS entitled to their opinion so why lecture people on “staying classy” in the first place? I don’t like some of the negative crap I read on here but I don’t elevate myself to the position of trying to moderate that behavior because I’m in no position to do so. I just ignore it and move on to posts I’d rather read and let people be “entitled to their opinion”.

          • Maverick says:

I guess the main reason imo is that this board is one of the last places for OU football that isn’t overrun with trolls and idiots. So I for one hope it stays that way.

Also we know recruits and their families read this board. It can’t hurt to try to keep the negativity/craziness down. There’s no mods here, so even though I hate “hall monitors”, someone has to say something occasionally. Which now a billion people have, probably excessively, but still.

To me personally there’s no “holier than though” situation going on.

          • DCinAZ says:

I don’t know of any OU board that’s overrun with trolls and idiots. If you define an “idiot” as “someone who disagrees with you or doesn’t deal with situations the way you’d like them to” then I guess you may see it that way.

          • Maverick says:

Well of course. Anyone that disagrees with me is stupid. That’s a given. /s

Maybe overrun isn’t the right word, but some I no longer go to are pretty bad.

          • DCinAZ says:

Don’t know which one’s those are. I stopped posting at Soonerfans.com years ago after being banned by a mod for not toeing the line and agreeing with him that Venables was a brilliant DC and I never went back. I don’t do that borg mentality bullsh*t.

        • hemisooner says:

it does suck but Jackson did the same thing but in our favor. That’s the way recruiting works sometimes

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

  • hemisooner says:

Win some, lose some. Wish the young man success except one day a year.

  • NM Sooner says:

I hear Riley Cole is announcing his new destination at 1PM, are we in the picture? I’m guessing another SEC school.

  • Johnny Greenlantern Otis says:

lets just be patient and wait and see where all the dominoes fall. this isnt the first year where a recruiting class looks weird and players leave but they still finish out on top. coaching helps players who cares if texas gets a top 10 class they still wont do anything with it like every year

    • Bob Edwards says:

We just need to have a little more patience. We will know just how good this class is about this time in 2019.

      • Soonerfandave84 says:

After NC’s in ’16, ’17’, & 18′ this class will have a lot of expectations to achieve

  • JJSoona says:

Hey guys, I’ve heard stoops wants to move up the recruiting date to a time during the season or shortly after? I mean where a player can commit?

    • Bob Edwards says:

My thought is to add two early signing periods, one in August right before the season, and one in December right after. That way everyone can know how committed their commits are to being committed.

      • JJSoona says:

        agree

      • JJSoona says:

So if a kid commits, the process is over?

        • Bob Edwards says:

If he signs yes. He can ‘commit’ but it’s kind of meaningless if he won’t sign in the next signing period.

        • Bob Edwards says:

Actually, I would add a clause that let’s the reopen their recruitment if one of the coaches leave. Probably limit it to the head coach, the position coach and maybe the ‘recruiting’ coach.

          • hemisooner says:

i say only if the school gets put on probation. Choose the school not the coach.

          • Bob Edwards says:

Except we all know that is not the reality. They wouldn’t be allowed to follow the coach, but they could be allowed to reopen recruiting. Seems unfair to me that the guy making $1,000,000 a year can go and leave when he wants, but the kid who is getting room, board, tuition and books is stuck.

          • Drew says:

How about the fall signing date allows you to reopen if the head coach leaves, while the Dec. date allows exceptions for the position and recruiting coaches leaving as well?

      • hemisooner says:

Keep the second one in February and add one in the fall. That way you can still fill a spot just in case someone declares for the draft or someone decides to transfer

        • Bob Edwards says:

I would keep the one in Feb and add two. The first let’s them sign before their Sr year and let’s them enjoy it without the recruiting grind. The other let’s them enjoy the holidays.

      • DCinAZ says:

I agree with the early signing periods as well. It would be a good move.

      • Maverick says:

I see two issues. One, how do you get the players to sign early? What’s the incentive?

Two, I think there should also be a rule that scholarships can’t be offered until the senior year starts. If not, it’s almost more important how good you were as a sophomore/Jr than what you are as a Sr.

Have to do something to make schools so making so many offers. Make the offer matter more.

        • DCinAZ says:

Some players know where they want to go and want to get the recruiting process over with early. That’s an incentive.

          • Maverick says:

True, but there would have to be some exceptions as noted below for coaching changes, etc. Or there’s no way I’d let my kid sign early. Or for example let’s say my kid is a Sr and a stud RB. Then Perine happens as a Freshman. If I already signed, I may want to go somewhere else than sit behind him.

          • DCinAZ says:

I agree there would need to be a process by which a committed player and petition for release from his commitment for extenuating circumstances. I think overall, the early signees would be the most committed by nature though.

        • Bob Edwards says:

No need to incentivise it, they can wait until the final one. It’s there to let the ones who have made up their mind go ahead and commit. It also let’s coaches know where the really stand with the ‘committed’ ones.

          • Maverick says:

Yeah… I would support it for sure. Just not sure how many kids would actually do it. Cause it would be more beneficial to the school than the kid.

          • Bob Edwards says:

The benefit to the kid is he get’s his spot reserved early and can’t be grey shirted at the last minute if someone better comes along. The SEC probably would never vote for it because that’s the way they like to do things.

          • Maverick says:

            Lol, no they wouldn’t

Even in that case though, I can think of many reasons signing early would be taking a larger risk for the kid than the school.

          • Bob Edwards says:

Well it’s like a lot of things you lose out on some potential benefit and also lose out on some potential loss. Both risks exist.

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

            Butch Jones recruiting 101

        • SoonerGoneEast says:

One incentive would be a guaranteed spot in that class. Once you’re LOI is accepted, you can’t be grey-shirted. Or at least I think that’s the case.

          • Maverick says:

If that was the case, lol. But I think Bama was trying to do that to Riley. Oversigning is standard in the SEC.

          • Bob Edwards says:

Then the ability to do that needs to be fixed while we are at it. A LOI should guarantee you a scholly unless you are unable to perform for some reason.

          • SoonerGoneEast says:

When you grey-shirt, I believe there’s no LOI involved, because you’re not even enrolling (unless you want to pick up a few hours at a local juco) until the spring semester the following year.

If your LOI was accepted at the end of the first recruiting period, then it would bind in both directions.

        • Soonerfandave84 says:

Didn’t Lane Kiffin offer a 7th grader while he was at U$C?

          • kt-raida says:

yep can’t remember his name ,i was trying to look for the video a while back the kid should be graduating soon, he looked really good back then.

          • Hamildude says:

I think it’s David Sills. Pretty sure he was a freshman at West Virginia this past year.

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

Yep, I remember seeing that prior to the game

          • BPOWERS71 says:

Yes it was sills. Played wr during the end of the year this year for wvu

          • DrewChubbs says:

I thought Matt Barkley was the one who was offered in 7th grade. Before the NCAA violations and punishment. Then, he reaffirmed after the punishment was handed down.

          • Soonerfandave84 says:

not sure of the exact time line on Barkley

      • TSFFKAG says:

Seems to me that after an official offer is made, the recruit can commit by signing the dotted line or not within three or four weeks grace period to think about it after an official visit or two. If they want to think about it more, the offer may be withdrawn at the school’s discretion. This whole “faux commit” thing is a waste. The commitment is in the binding signature.

    • David Luc says:

Stoops has put that out a few times. I like Bo Pellini’s suggestion of allowing NLI signing at any time, ending the entire ‘verbal commit’ procedure altogether.

  • Ed Cotter says:

Best of luck to the young man. If his heart wasn’t into being a Sooner, hopefully he finds a place where he enjoys going to school and playing football.

  • Birddawg says:

    Smh..
Baylor?.. Does he want to play offense?…
Baylor literally has 2 nfl defensive players. Drafted 6th and 7th round. (Bryce Hagar, Demetri Goodson)
For us, 2017 has to be a loaded DB class..
Especially if we miss out on Mayden..

  • Ruddoj says:

incredibly disappointing to read this news.

  • Wilson says:

Choosing a college where you will be for the next 4 plus years can be difficult and not just for athletes. So I get it. Let’s just do away with the whole commitment thing until signing day. Now that would really make it interesting..lol They can silent commit to coaches/schools but no more of this hat grabbing, radio, social media and television hyped nonsense…the kids really don’t need the extra added pressure. It is a decision that should be taken very seriously. I personally have never take a circus seriously. Well unless one of the Lions got loose…lol

  • Stephen says:

    Moving on.

  • Stephen says:

    Moving on.

  • KJ1123 says:

Ok need a new update….went to lunch and back and its still being discussed.

  • TSFFKAG says:

Update: Cobb chose to get a 4 year degree and employment in a conventional job over getting prepared for a multimillion dollar career in the NFL?

  • SoonerBredCD says:

    Was it the Swag Pontoon?

  • Jason Vos says:

Extra ship for PJ Blue or Riley Cole

    • Nate Broadus says:

Panic if you want to — honestly, DB is the position I worry about least these days.

Cooks has already proven he can recruit, and can develop what is there. One more ship for a LB, or a DL sounds silky.

    • Nate Broadus says:

  • Jason Vos says:

I for one will be glad once signing day is over

  • michael hammond says:

Either way…not getting the big time athletes is alarming. And no matter how much coolade I drink, the obviousness here, shows up later. We need that dominant DT and a big time LB. Got to be dominant up front if we really want to compete with the elite.

  • JrsySooner says:

Yawn.flips day before . …hmm any one doing that has character issue and I don’t want someone who can’t be honest and keep their word..

  • sooner8 says:

Mr.Cobb wanted to go to a University that has Christian values & he thinks Baylor(with all the Sexual assaults is just a great place)????Good luck to the young man.Go Sooners!!!!!

    • JrsySooner says:

Oh bull smit…a good Christian honors his word…he won’t even play next year OU was a better chance for him but we don’t want liars on our team anyway

  • TSFFKAG says:

Cobb is 5’10”, Farrar is 6’4″ …something like that.

  • jonnyBgood says:

    Next.

  • CS says:

This is kinda odd, this happ to us in the reverse with Sanchez, life is a circle, no doubt,

  • j l says:

Not too worried, he probably wouldnt have been a significant contributor till RS sophmore year. Would have been behind thomas, austin, parker, mayden(hopefully) and stephens.

We would have recruited over him most likely by then anyway.
