I checked with Troy and he said he will announce his commitment decision on Monday. We are trying to find out if Troy may make a last minute trip to Oklahoma this weekend. As of now I have not heard that but it would seem to be the only chance the Sooners have of landing him. In talking to folks close to the Arkansas program, they believe James will end up committing to the Hogs. He recently took an official visit to Fayetteville. – (Super K)
– Weekend Official Visitors: The Sooners will host the following official visitors this weekend.
Justin Broiles: OU commit. Never a bad thing having this young man on campus. He’s an excellent recruiter for the Sooners.
Latavious Brini: The talented 2017 Miami-area safety picked up an offer from the Sooners earlier this fall and promptly scheduled a visit to OU. Brini is thought to be a Miami lean. He is friends with former Sooner commit, Trajan Bandy.
Jospeh Lewis: 2017 WR Joseph Lewis (Los Angeles, CA) is expected to visit this weekend. He had previously confirmed the visit however we haven’t been able to receive a reconfirmation from him. So, we will be waiting to see if he actually makes it in.
Addison Gumbs: Sooners OLB commit, Addison Gumbs tweeted out that he will officially visit OU this weekend.
Hunter Echols: As we noted on Monday, 2017 DE and USC commit, Hunter Echols (Los Angeles, CA) let us know that he will be in Norman this weekend of an official visit.
– Team Note | Matt Dimon: Am told there’s a good chance we won’t see Matt Dimon back on the field during the regular season. I was told that Dimon suffered an injury to his Achilles and while he has tried to come work his way back he doesn’t seem to be quite ready. I wasn’t given a return date but the source was skeptical about his return during the regular season. – (Super K)
