Visitors on Campus Today

Good morning! Hope everyone had a good Memorial Day weekend!
Recruiting is back upon us. The coaches will be going out to satellite camps and recruits are once again able to visit campus.
***Charlie already reported that the Sooners will host 2022 4-star DT, Chris McClellan (Owasso), today.
I spoke with Chris yesterday and he told me that it is an all day visit. He plans on being in Norman this morning and the Sooners have a full schedule for him that will run into the afternoon. Chris will be there with his father.
This is, as you know, an unofficial visit.
***Sooners will also be hosting another visitor for an unofficial visit. He is a 4-star 2022 offensive player from outside this region.
We will hold the name for now. But once the visit is over and we are able to confirm he was there, then we may be able to pass it along.
Quick Hitter | Chris McClellan Post Visit

Just spoke with K who has been in touch with Sooners in state 2022 defensive line offer Chris McClellan who is just wrapping up his unofficial visit.
McClellan told K that the visit exceeded the expectations of both him and his father. Chris told K that going into the visit he thought it would be good, but it turned out to be incredible
It was supposed to wrap up around three, but as you can gather, the visit went on longer.
K will have a more in depth write up on the visit, but the bottom line is that it sounds like the Sooners knocked the visit out of the park which is a good thing as they got out in front of the official visits that McClellan will take to Florida, Ohio State and USC in the month of June.
Kevontre Bradford Officially Listed In the Portal

***LSU Running Back Kevontre Bradford is officially listed in the NCAA Transfer Portal.
…but you knew that was coming a couple of days ago.
***As we have reported, OU is in the market for at least one additional running back via the portal with the exodus of Seth McGowan from the program during the spring.
***Bradford is being evaluated by the OU staff along with Alabama running back, Keilan Robinson.

Alabama RB in the Portal

Alabama running back, Keilan Robinson has entered the transfer portal. We had heard about this possibility a while back. Not surprising given how packed the running back room is at Alabama. That doesn’t, however, speak to Robinson’s talent. I was told he is an excellent back.
Apparently the Sooners agree. According to an east coast contact (which is where Robinson is from), it sounds like the Sooners have already started the process of speaking with Robinson and his people. I am told they’ll likely speak with Robinson directly at some point later today.
2022 WR Andre Greene | Post Visit

As you know, earlier this week Supr K mentioned there was a 2022 offensive player who was visiting Oklahoma.
That player was wide receiver Andre Greene (6’3″ 175) out of Richmond, VA.
According to sources Greene and his family made their way to Norman yesterday and to nobody’s surprise, it sounds like the visit went well enough and OU feels like they could be players for his signature if they were in a position to push.
But they aren’t. They are currently full at wide receiver as you know with Jordan Hudson, Tayln Shettron, Luther Burden and Raleek Brown who will spend a lot of time split out wide.
Never a bad thing to have talented players wanting into your program and you never know what could happen down the line, but for now, nothing to really see here at this point.
Sooners Staff Hitting the Road

While everyone wants to hear about the recruits coming INTO town…
The Sooners staff is hitting the road as they are finally able to get their eyes on some of these recruits after more than 20 months of not being able to do so.
Cornerback coach Roy Manning tweeted out he will be on the west coast and as James put it, about half the staff will be down at an SMU satellite camp this weekend.
We will continue to keep our ears open for kids heading to campus this weekend as OU will be sure to have the right coach in the right place at the right time. These guys are going to be earning their money over the next few months.
