The Latest | Blayne Toll

Recently, I spoke with Tabatha Toll, the mother of 2020 DE, Blayne Toll (Hazen, AR) to find out where the Sooners stand in the race for Toll’s commitment.
***It appears that the situation is as I’ve suspected – the Sooners don’t have an official visit for Blayne until the first of the season.
***Tabatha didn’t seem upset by this though they were expecting to be able to take an official visit this summer, “We understand. Blayne was a little disappointed because he was wanting to take that official visit but he was a little late in scheduling it”.
***The original plan was for Blayne to announce his decision before the summer ends. So, an early season official visit, doesn’t really help. And, it doesn’t sound like they plan on delaying the decision.
***Tabatha says that the Sooners are still in regular communication with Blayne and their hope is to get Blayne on campus for an unofficial visit in July. But whether that will happen remains to be seen, “we haven’t decided yet. We’re still talking about it. After these official visits, we’ll sit down with Blayne and see what’s best”.
***The Tolls are coming off a recent official visit to Arkansas and are set to start an official visit to Tennessee on Thursday.
***Bottom line here is that we are in a wait-and-see as to whether the family will decide to visit the Sooners in July on an unofficial visit before announcing a decision.
Quick Hitter | Andrew Raym

As first reported by Josh McCuistion at SoonerScoop, after some quick digging by Super K and James, we can confirm that 2020 Broken Arrow, OK, offensive lineman Andrew Raym was in Norman earlier this week for another unofficial visit to OU.
***Several of you brought a couple of articles to the board yesterday from Georgia sites which have quotes from Raym singing the praises of the UGA program, and I would offer that is to be expected following an official visit by a program who excels at conducting them.
***Raym is scheduled to officially visit Michigan this coming weekend and we still believe he will make his commitment to the school of his choosing shortly after that visit.
***Raym has now made at least two ‘stealth’ visits to Norman in the past month and he has yet to take his official visit to OU which he has told us he planned on doing.
***We continue to feel that OU is in a very good spot with Raym.
Visitor Update | 2020 Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper

Quick update on 2020 Linebacker Edgerrin Cooper’s visit to Norman Wednesday…
***Cooper was very impressed with the Sooners, the staff, and the campus. What really stood out to him was the players as he said “I had a great time. Met some of the players and I loved the hard work attitude they had”.
***Cooper got to spend a lot of time with Linebacker Coach Brian Odom.
***When I asked about the chances of OU getting an official visit he said: “110 percent coming up for an official”.
He is one to keep a very close eye on.
Update | 2020 Commit Mikey Henderson & My Take

Checked in with Sooners 2020 Athlete commit Mikey Henderson…
I know some of you were asking about his commitment status following a Tweet from Georgia commit Akinola Ogunbiyi who was encouraging Georgia fans to get behind Mikey and bring him to Georgia.
I asked Mikey about that and he said “Haha yeah Aki, that’s my boy. And Georgia recruits me really hard and it is a place that interests me”.
I know you’re thinking…
…I asked him about other schools and he said: “Nah, there are still some other schools that still try to recruit me and I don’t really entertain many of them”.
So with that you’re thinking…
So I changed gears a bit and asked him what he’s doing to prepare himself for college and he noted that he is working on his receiving skills very hard.
I also asked him if he would be playing and QB this season and he said “I won’t be playing QB this year, just wide receiver. OU didn’t ask me too do that but I know that’s what I will be playing at Oklahoma and I just want to put myself in the best position possible to make an immediate impact at the college level.”
He mentioned he is looking forward to the ChampU BBQ and he is busy ‘working on these defensive guys’ in the 2020 class.
So go ahead and be like…

Marvin Mims | Quick-Update

As you know, Darius and I both really like 2020 WR, Marvin Mims. He’s not the biggest guy but he’s one of the most explosive in the country and knows how to use his athleticism with advanced technical ability and hands.
Mims tells me that he is looking to make a decision this summer. I have heard through the grapevine that a decision could come as soon as this month. Sounds like the family is beginning to see positions fill up and feels it’s best to make an announcement sooner rather than later.
The team to beat?
TCU.
It’s OU vs. TCU battle with Okie State floating around.
Visit Note | 2020 DB Josh Eaton

Super K let me know 2020 Elite defensive back Josh Eaton out of Houston, TX, plans on heading up to Norman for an unofficial visit tomorrow (today).
Eaton recently included the Sooners in his ‘Final Five’ list of schools…
This is a great opportunity for OU to really insert themselves into the mix for the talented defender.
You may recall that he has family in Oklahoma so he is familiar with the area and tomorrow he will become more familiar with Norman and the OU campus.
Another thing of note is that Eaton was originally looking to commit close to signing day, but he may be looking to make an earlier commitment at some point this summer.
Earlier this morning, Eaton Tweeted out his arrival in Norman, we will have more following the trip.

*** Quick note on 2020 OU running back commit Jase McClellan. K has spoken more with his mother and other sources and we feel like this one is settled down and OU remains in a very good spot with the longtime pledge.
*** Following his trip to Georgia for the Vandagriff commitment video, K shot over to Knoxville this morning to get some face time with 2020 DL Offer Tyler Baron…
Super K said Baron gave him some interesting insight as to why he is legitimately considering OU…it’s the same dude that just pulled the number one rated player in the 2021 class…Lincoln Riley
He will have a full write up on his visit with Baron in the near future.
*** 2020 TE Jalin Conyers. K was in touch with his mom and she let him know that he won’t be deciding anything for sure until after he visits Ohio State this weekend. She does expect a decision following the trip to Columbus.
As for the OU visit, she said ‘Visit was great, staff was top notch’.
We will probably wait till after the Ohio State… Still looking good for OU.
*** Not too much to report on Sooners 2020 DB Commit Dontae Manning and his commitment status at this point. If you remember, Mom didn’t go to Texas A&M and we were told he had to sit down and talk with her as well as Lincoln Riley following the trip. As you know, hasn’t announced anything so that is a good sign, but we are still working to get more information on where things stand.
