K’Jakyre Daley: This past weekend Sooners hosted 2017 OLB/DE, K’Jakyre Daley (West Palm Beach, FL). Daley has been high on the Sooners ever since they offered and it sounds like the trip only solidified his interest.

I spoke with a source close to Daley who said, “he’s going to take a visit to Wisconsin and that may be about it. After that he’s going to make a decision”. The source said that unless the Wisconsin trip or something else changes things, “he’ll commit to Oklahoma” soon after the visit to Wisconsin.

Obviously Daley is coming off the post visit high so I’m sure he spoke glowingly about the trip to all around him. But again, Daley hasn’t been shy about his interest in Oklahoma ever since they first offered.

There is certainly reason to feel optimistic that Daley could help OU finish out their OLB class. – (Super K)

K’Lavon Chaisson: An OLB that planned on making the trip to Norman this past weekend but wasn’t able to is K’Lavon Chaisson (Houston, TX). I spoke with Chaisson’s coach who told me that the family had some kind of a last minute scheduling conflict. As I understand it the plan is for Chaisson to take an official visit to OU after his season ends. – (Super K)

Adrian Ealy: The Sooners hosted 2017 OT, Adrian Ealy (Gonzales, LA). Ealy told us he was actually on his visit to Norman until Monday due to a late arrival. Ealy described the trip as “amazing” and in talking to some of the recruits who were around Ealy he seemed to give everyone the impression that he did indeed enjoy the trip.

We had heard that Ealy let the staff know it’s just a matter of time before he chooses the Sooners so we asked Ealy if he’s thinking about committing and he affirmed, “I am thinking about it.”

K was told by a source the LSU seems to be out for Ealy so right now we feel good about where Oklahoma stands. In terms of a timeline Ealy said, “I’m probably going to commit in October”. If Ealy pulls the trigger to OU this October that should finish out an excellent offensive line class. – (Brandon)

Tyler Taylor: The Sooners are looking for one more inside linebacker. They have their eye on Jacob Phillips but are also interested in GA (Lanier HS) LB, Tyler Taylor. Taylor’s official visit this past weekend was actually a return trip for Taylor who recently took an unofficial visit to OU. The weekend didn’t disappoint the big backer who said, “the atmosphere was amazing. I love college football…it was fun and it was a closer game than the score showed. Just a few spots here and there with mistakes…”

If there is any doubt that the Sooners made a great impression on Tyler there shouldn’t be as Taylor tells me he has already planned a return (3rd) trip to Oklahoma. A date hasn’t been decided but he said, “it’ll be for another big game for sure”.

Taylor is considering schools like UGA, Auburn and Alabama but says he has no current leader. However he tells us that he will finish off his visits and make a decision, “before basketball season.” He added that the announcement could happen as late as December but “may be before then…but no later”. – (Brandon)

More On OU vs. tOSU Recruiting: Again, just wanted to reiterate here that as you can see, this past weekend may not have gone as planned on the field but the Sooners impressed a lot of recruits. Right now I expect the Sooners to land both Daley and Ealy. And they have obviously made a great impression on Tyler Taylor and others. – (Super K)

Keep Your Eye on USC Commits: As many of you know, USC has struggled on the field. I spoke to a source close to the program and it sounds like whatever issues the Trojans have off the field are, in part, due to issues they have within the program. It sounds like there are a lot of unhappy players. The Sooners like to recruit California so USC’s misfortunes can sometimes lead to recruiting gains for Oklahoma.

I’ve already spoken with one USC commit on the defensive side of the ball who tells me that the Sooners have reached out to him and he plans on taking a visit to OU. However, the player did ask that I keep the information, “confidential”.

Oklahoma doesn’t have a ton of spots left in this class but there are still some and you’ll definitely want to keep your eye on the California recruitment. While I certainly don’t wish ill on anyone or any program, the harsh reality is that unless there are some drastic changes made (and perhaps a change at the QB position is a start) I get the sense USC’s troubles could just be beginning. – (Super K)
