Noah Cain: As many of you know, 2019 RB, Noah Cain visited the Sooners this past weekend. I chatted with him yesterday and it sounds like his decision could come sooner than I expected. I’ll have more with Cain later this week but of note…

*Since Cain is an early enrollee he said he wants to actually have his decision made by this upcoming December so that’s a little over a two months from now.

*He said he and Riley’s relationship has never been better. A reoccurring theme with these recruits now is that they have a relationship with their position coach and OU’s head coach.

*Texas is a threat to OU in Cain’s recruitment so the OU v. UT game will be big. Cain said he will be at that game. – (Brandon)

Additional note from K:

Just wanted to add something to Brandon’s note here. I talked to someone close to Cane yesterday and the source told me that Cain was actually at the OU v. tOSU game. Apparently Cain saw Riley and Riley yelled out, “I told you we were going to beat these guys!”

Alternate Uniforms: We have confirmed via multiple sources that the source are expected to wear their alternate uniforms this upcoming weekend for the Baylor game. – (Super K & Brandon)

Theo Wease & Trejan Bridges: I meant to post this last weekend. Former Sooners 2019 WR commit, Theo Wease was expected to visit this past weekend but that visit did not happen. He had some kind of conflict.

Wease told me he will “for sure reschedule”. So, expect him up sometime in October.

In the course of getting some insider information on Wease and his recruitment, I spoke to a friend in the Dallas area who is a former player and is an excellent evaluator. Rarely rarely misses.

I asked him about Wease and some of the other Texas wide receivers. He raved about Sooners commit, Trejan Bridges which is what led to this tweet I posted earlier this week…

Like myself, he is very particular about guys having the body control and aggression to go up and take a ball when they are covered. Any elite athlete in high school can run nine routes on lesser competition all day. OU needs guys that can win the ball. This particular friend, who sees a lot of Texas and regional athletes, thinks Bridges is that guy. He also had high praise for Jordan Whittington out of Cuero, TX. – (Super K)

Auburn Defensive Lineman Byron Cowart Transferring: In case you missed it, Auburn defensive lineman and former 2015 class consensus five star, Byron Cowart is transferring.

It’s been reported that Cowart decided to leave due to a lack of playing time.

I did check with a source on the OU side and was told they are in the process of trying gather information on Cowart and get a better idea of why he left. So there does seem to at least be enough initial interest to find out more.

We will let you know when we have more. – (Super K)

Jadon Haselwood | Top 2019 WR Visit: 2019 wide receiver and UGA commit, Jadon Haselwood out of Ellenwood, GA (Cedar Grove), will visit OU for the Texas Tech game next month.

Haselwood is ranked the number one wide receiver in the country by both major recruiting networks.
Here’s where it gets interesting. Haselwood’s father actually attended Oklahoma and they still have family in Oklahoma. Haselwood and his family grew up OU fans and I’m told Haselwood’s father is tied in with OU alumni association in their area in Georgia.

So while at first glance, stealing the top wide receiver from UGA out of his home state may seem like a long shot, it’s a real possibility. – (Brandon)
