If you’re on spring break, hope you are enjoying it!

Hunter Rison: By now, most of you are familiar with 2017 WR Hunter Rison (Ann Arbor, MI). Rison has emerged as a top Oklahoma WR target and it sounds like the feelings are very much mutual. We noted previously that Rison will visit Oklahoma between April 5th – 7th.

We are told that if Rison and his family like what they see at Oklahoma, a decision could happen during his time in Norman. However, Rison has a lot of options in general so again, the visit will likely be the deciding factor. But we are told that the family is coming for the purpose of evaluating everything for the purpose of potentially making an immediate decision.

Rison is being recruited by Sooner Squad 17 (if you’ve been under a rock, that’s the group of OU commits who have been building relationships with a lot of top recruits).

Rison will be in Norman with his mother who currently lives in Arizona. Rison’s mother tells us that distance is not an issue as she is considering relocation to wherever Hunter decides to play and attend school. – (Super K)

Kobe Boyce: For the most part, the Sooners are done with their 2017 defensive backs class. Obviously, players like Jeffrey Okudah or Kary Vincent are always going to be more than welcomed but the Sooners like who they’ve got currently committed. A cornerback target that could receive an offer from Oklahoma to really round out the class is long and speedy CB, Kobe Boyce (Lake Dallas, TX).

Boyce has picked up offers recently from schools like Houston and Arkansas. He posted great numbers at the Dallas Regional Opening running a sub 4.5 to go along with a 37.5 inch vertical. Boyce also measured in at 6’0 tall which is what makes him intriguing to Oklahoma. They’d like to round out the class with a longer cornerback.

Boyce tells me he has been in communication with coach Cooks for a while now. He also tells me that Cooks has let him know an offer could be coming anytime now. I spoke to Boyce yesterday on his way back from a visit to Arkansas (a visit he really seems to have enjoyed) and it’s clear if the Sooners get involved he will make his way up to Norman pretty quickly for a visit.

However, Boyce’s family is originally from California and once the spring is here I fully expect his offer sheet to explode and I fully expect that list to include some of the California schools. Having said that, the Sooners have proximity to his immediate family and a ton of momentum right now. – (Super K)
