Brian Asamoah: 2018 Columbus (OH) linebacker Brian Asomoah made his second trip to Norman, in the last couple of months, over the weekend, when he took his official visit.

For sometime there was a thought that Asamoah would commit in August, but that never happened. When speaking to sources, the one thing that continued to be an issue was having his parents see Norman. That happened this past weekend. Asamoah told TFB that, “The visit went great. My family and I had an awesome time.”

Talking to several sources, Oklahoma did all they could to land Asamoah, from having a ton of the 2018 class on unofficial visits, to 2017 and 2018 parents making the Asamoah family feel at home during their time in Norman. Sources on OU side of feel very confident in their chances to land Asamoah. One source said it was, “just a matter of getting home and talking it over with parents.” Another source called Asamoah, “all in”. The feeling is, that if Asamoah doesn’t visit Pitt, officially, it is all but a matter of time until he commits to OU.

That said, when talking with Asamoah, he told TFB that he still plans on visiting Pitt but has no set date, as of yet.

Our in Ohio tells us, “the tentative plan is for him to make an official visit the weekend that Pittsburgh plays North Carolina State (October 14th), but that is not finalized yet.” Our source went on to say though that they feel, “fairly certain Oklahoma leads”.

OU appears to be in a good spot but one would have to think that the distance from home could be what’s holding this decision up. And with Asamoah telling us he still plans on visiting Pitt, it’s clear the relationship with Narduzzi and company still holds some sway. – (Brandon)

Trejan Bridges: For sometime 2019 Hebron (HS) wideout, Trejan Bridges, has been talking about shutting his recruitment down and committing to a school. Bridges, as his dad Jackie says, plays things by ear and just reacts spur of the moment. Yesterday, Bridges tweeted out…

Lincoln Riley tweeted out…

And we tweeted out…

As of this morning’s information, we are expecting Bridges to make an announcement today.

When I spoke with Bridges father, after their unofficial visit to Norman, he kept referring to OU as a place that is, “feeling like home”.  Jackie added, “When we sit down and talk about schools, you get the feeling Trejan doesn’t want to leave too far from his mother and me.”

That is a good sign for OU because another school that Trejan has his eye on is Oregon. Mr. Bridges said his son talks quite a bit about Oregon, but getting to Oregon isn’t something that is very easy, being a long plane flight. And with Trejan not really enjoying the recruiting process as it is, that trip may never happen because Trejan, as Jackie put it, “has a feeling where he wants to go and once we decide we are locked in.”  He went on to add, “we won’t be doing any of this decommitting stuff. That’s not us.”

Stay tuned… – (Brandon)
