Greg Rogers: I spoke with a couple sources close to the Colorado program recently. I was told that 2017 DT, Greg Rogers (Las Vegas, NV) took an official visit to Colorado this past weekend.

I’ve been told by two sources that the folks at Colorado feel very good about their chances with Rogers. I haven’t spoken to Rogers about his trip but there is a lot of confidence in Boulder right now that Rogers will end up there. Something to keep an eye on. – (Super K)

Team Note | Parrish Cobb: Good news on Cobb. Was told he was back at practice yesterday.

Trey Sermon: With the commitment of Kennedy Brooks yesterday I wanted to check and see how the Sooners taking another back may affect Trey Sermon. I spoke to a coach at Sermon’s high school who has accompanied Sermon on his trips and asked him if Brooks’ commitment will change anything for Sermon. His response…

“Not one bit, brother”.

He went on to say, “every successful college program has two backs”. The reality is the Sooners had to take two backs in this class. With the real possibility of Mixon and Perine leaving and the question marks surrounding Rodney Anderson, it was absolutely imperative. I suspect the staff explained all that to Sermon before they made a move.        – (Super K)

Team Note | PJ Mbanasor: I know many of you have been asking about PJ Mbanasor. After Mbanasor struggled in the Tulsa game last year, it was going to take a lot to regain the trust of the staff. After talking to a couple folks close to the program about it, it sounds like trusting him in game situations was the primary issue. I know I’ve been asked if there were any off the field issues or academic issues. I asked about that and was told, “absolutely not…good kid”.

I am told that Mbanasor has been practicing well lately (he apparently did not have a great fall camp from what I’m told) and is moving up in the rotation. Not sure what that will mean in terms of playing time but it’s clear that when the staff says they are looking at everyone, they mean it. – (Super K)

Rambo and Reagor: There are some concerns among Sooner fans that Reagor and potentially Rambo could be rethinking their Oklahoma commitment. Both prospects committed together right around the same time so it’s natural to think that what happens with one will happen with the other.

However, I’ve been told by folks around the program that Rambo has given them every indication that he is absolutely solid to OU.

Reagor continues to remain silent. Neither myself nor K have been able to get much of anything out of him. Having said that, the recruits in the Sooner Squad tell me they still believe in the end Reagor will stick. Again, it’s as tight a group as you can get in recruiting. – (Brandon)
