– Deontre Thomas: Sooners are trying to find some defensive linemen for this class and it just so happens that an excellent prospect lives just up the road in Mustang, OK. I caught up with 2017 DT and Nebraska commit, Deontre Thomas who tells me he has been hearing from the Sooners a lot lately and plans to be at the Bedlam game this upcoming weekend.

Thomas picked up offers from Michigan, Arkansas, Ole Miss and others last spring before committing to Nebraska. Thomas was a bit on the light side during his junior year at around 250 lbs but tells me he is currently up to 270 lbs.

His senior film shows more of what we come to expect from him, a young man who plays with great leverage, can come off the ball and run but can also stack and shed like a man.

 

– Lee Autry: Sooners will also host JUCO defensive lineman, Lee Autry. Autry is a December graduate so he would be available to come in right away.

– Team Note | Michiah Quick: We spoke to a source regarding Michiah Quick and the announcement by Bob Stoops yesterday that Quick is no longer with the team. We are told Quick was dismissed due to violation of team rules. – (TFB)
