Dante Stills: Last week TFB covered that Oklahoma was pushing Fairmont (WV) DL Dante Stills really hard on the recruiting trail. Last night Stills tweeted out the following…

We reached out to Stills to see if that elusive visit to Norman was any closer to happening. Stills informed TFB that he does, in fact, intend on visiting Norman the weekend of June 16th-18th.

I asked if the Sooners would have a good opportunity to make his top five. Stills said, “Let’s just say I like OU a whole lot.” Now, that mean a whole bunch of things, but when he followed that up with him planning on visiting OU in the middle of June that definitely told us all we need to know. One team you can definitely expect on that list is in state school, West Virginia.

But with the Sooners looking likely to make his top five before Stills has even made it on campus, there is some reason to be optimistic. Again, per Stills himself we are expecting Stills to visit June 16th – 18th. – (Brandon)

Sooners Searching California for DBs: The Sooners staff has been traveling around since spring evaluation period started a month ago. One place that Oklahoma has had a lot of success is the state of California. I spoke to several sources yesterday and Oklahoma is expected to make the rounds with several Golden State defensive backs this week.

As TFB reported last week, one target is 2018 Ohio State commit, Jaiden Woodbey, who told us last week that he will be visiting Oklahoma for the TCU game during the season.

Another is Anaheim (CA) safety Julius Irvin who the Sooners are pushing to try and get out to visit sometime this summer.

The last player that we were told Oklahoma will for sure stop by and see in California this week, is 2018 Mission Viejo (CA) defensive back Olaijah Griffin. Griffin is a tough read but he seems to be listening to the Sooners staff.

We should know more about where things stand after the Sooners make their California rounds. – (Brandon)

– Jacob Farrell: With offers from Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas Tech and Tulsa, just to name a few, the 2017 Sulphur (OK) offensive lineman might be one of the least talked about in-state prospects. I spoke with Farrell about upcoming visits and camps.

Farrell tells me that he will visit Oklahoma this upcoming Friday for an unofficial visit. Farrell also said that he has plans to visit Tulsa on Tuesday and Texas Tech this coming Saturday.

When talking to sources on the OU side it sounds like there is some growing interest by the Sooners in Farrell. I’m told OU would like to see in him camp and make sure that what they see on film adds up to what they see in person.

Farrell is definitely raw and but his size and athleticism make him an intriguing prospect. Farrell plays both offensive and defensive line but has the look and movement of a future OT prospect. – (Brandon)
