– Jaylon Johnson: 2017 CB and Utah commit, Jaylon Johnson (Fresno, CA) tells us he will take an official visit to Oklahoma this weekend.
Johnson selected Utah over offers from USC, UCLA and others. Johnson’s older brother plays at UCLA but is expected to transfer to Utah. But the Sooners obviously have a lot of success winning recruiting battles in California, especially from Fresno so this visit is certainly a step in the right direction for OU. – (Super K)
– Marquise Brown: #Sooners speedy WR JUCO target announced that he will no longer take an official visit to USC. He originally planned to visit USC this upcoming weekend. Brown has now moved his commitment date up and is expected to announce Monday, December 12th. This one is looking good for the Sooners.
#Sooners star JUCO WR target @Primetime_jet had in home with #OU & #WVU yesterday. Moved announcement up to Dec 12 at 3pm. @TheFbBrainiacs

– Noah Daniels: Recent OU CB visitor, Noah Daniels (League City, TX) will announce his commitment decision this weekend.

Daniels visited the Sooners last weekend and the visit went extremely well. TCU had an in-home visit with Daniels last night and he will officially visit the Frogs this weekend. – (Super K)
– Tyreece Lott: Yesterday the Sooners offered in-state defensive lineman, Tyreece Lott (Ardmore, OK). Lott told TFB that in recent weeks he has been offered by OSU, KU and TCU as well.
Lott is expected to take an official to TCU this weekend and then take an official to OU on January 21st. Lott then said that after all of his visits he will sit down and decide where he is going.
Right now his decision date is tentatively set for NSD. Lott told TFB that Sooners defensive line coach Calvin Thibodeaux wants him to gain some weight. Lott currently stands around 6’3 270lbs and will most likely start out at the 4i/5 tech and move inside as he goes through OU strength and conditioning program and puts on weight. – (Brandon)
My take: Oklahoma needs defensive lineman. Sure, it’s nice to have guys ranked really high, but you can’t deny the way Lott moves for a guy his size. Lott is very raw and isn’t the most technically sound. The frame and explosion is there. Now, he just needs to get into the strength and conditioning program and work on is technique. With some coaching Lott has the talent to have a good college career. – (Brandon)
