Open Post | New Years Weekend

Charleston Rambo: Our Andrew King noted earlier this week that he has heard OU wide receiver commit, Charleston Rambo is considering taking a visit to Texas after the dead period ends.

I checked with a source close to Rambo and was told, “Some of the Texas commits he knows are on him (Rambo) pretty hard…he’s listening. He likes Texas but is sold on being the man at OU next year”.

I also checked with a source on the Texas side of things and I’m told Texas is still working to set up a visit but nothing concrete has been arranged. We’ll keep an eye on this one. – (Super K)

Ceedee Lamb: Someone who doesn’t seem to be listening to Texas or anyone for that matter is Ceedee Lamb. I spoke with a source close to Texas to see if they feel they’ve got a chance and was told, “it would take a lot of work”.

Although it’s Lamb who at one time waivered and even decommitted from Oklahoma, sources on the Oklahoma side tell us they feel good that when it’s all said and done Lamb will sign with the Sooners. – (Super K)

Defensive Line Targets | Corey Bethley: The Sooners recently made the top 5 for Marvin Wilson and Temple, TX DL, Taquon Graham is expected to visit in January (the Sooners have a real shot here).

I checked with a source regarding OU DT target, Corey Bethley (Katy, TX) and his expected visit schedule in January. I was told that Bethley will TCU, Texas and Texas A&M. Source also added, “maybe OU” however with only three weekends and three visits scheduled to in-state schools, it’ll be a tight fit.

Lagaryonn Carson – Texas DE commit, Lagaryonn Carson (Texarkana, TX) decommitted from Texas earlier this week. Carson held an offer from OU under Diron Reynolds. I’ve checked in with Carson’s family and so far there is no word as to what school(s) he is focused on. But it is of note that Carson’s mother actually lives in Oklahoma. – (Super K)

In Case You Missed It: A few notes from this past week.

OU offered 2019 OK Preps safety, Dax Hill…

We spoke to Florida WR, James Robinson after his official visit to Oklahoma and he gave us the impression that the Sooners did exactly what they needed to. It sounds like the effect of that visit hasn’t worn off…

Joshua Moore: It’s a big list (14 schools) but star 2018 TX WR, Joshua Moore, not surprisingly, included the Sooners…

Moore has already visited Oklahoma on multiple occasions and though his brother is committed to Texas A&M he is adamant that it will not affect his recruiting decision. While the list isn’t in order, we’ve been in touch with Moore enough to know that the Sooners are somewhere near the top.
