Riley Friday Night Visits: We told you about Sooners head man flying out to Phoenix to watch OU 2019 quarterback commit, Spencer Rattler, in person. That was just a quick jaunt out west because Riley is set to see a slew of 2018 and 2019 DFW stars this past Friday.

During the day Riley stopped by to see:

Austin Stogner – 2019 OU TE commit (Plano, TX) and one of the top TE’s in the country.

Trejan Bridges – 2019 OU WR commit (Hebron, TX). Another guy who can win one-on-one battles.

Marcel Brooks – 2019 linebacker out of Flower Mound, TX. Considered one of the best defenders in the region, if not, the country.

Brian Williams and Marquez Beason – Riley stopped by Bishop Dunne (Dallas, TX) to see their two 2019 stars in Brian Williams (DB) and Marquez Beason (WR/DB). The Sooners are in the top group for both Williams and Beason. We spoke with the coach over at Bishop Dunne last week and he said that while Beason is truly elite at both the WR and DB positions, the Sooners are recruiting him as a wide receiver. – (Brandon)

Riley and Bobby Brown: On Friday night coach Riley stopped by to see Sooners top defensive line target, Bobby Tre Brown.

Both Riley and Herman from UT were on hand to see Brown. And though Texas may think they are in this fight, according to our sources, Texas appears to be sitting fourth behind a some combination of OU, TAMU and Bama.

Our Alex King was on hand at the game.

Brown did not play much. He left the game with what appeared to be a knee injury but we spoke with his mother on Saturday and Brown seems to be fine. Brown was expected to take a unofficial visit to Alabama this week but elected not to go in order to rest his knee. While the circumstances were unfortunate, that obviously helps OU as Brown is also set to take a official visit to Alabama later this month. Two visits in one month wouldn’t have been good. – (Brandon)

Ayodele Adeoye: Sooners LB target and 2018 Texas commit, Ayodele Adeoye has flirted with the idea of taking a visit to OU for the Texas Tech game. We have stayed in regular contact with him and while he has not said for certain if he’s going to make the trip, I can tell you that when I checked with him on Friday he sounded like he was leaning towards taking the visit.

Ayodele says the OU staff has been recruiting very hard and it’s pretty clear that they believe that if they can at least get him on campus, they have a real chance. We’ll continue to check with him as the Tech game approaches. – (Super K)
