Quick Hitter | 2019 Offensive Line Targets
– Charlie S
So I spoke to a source and stumbled across a little tidbit that I figured I would toss out for you guys in regards to OL recruiting throughout the remainder of the 2019 cycle
***Source tells me OU feels very good about 6’6″ 300 lb Danielson Ike (Kansas City, MO). Ike has repeatedly told Super K he plans on visiting after the dead period and an OU source confirms they do expect to host him. When that visit takes place has not yet been finalized, however, all signs point to it being shortly after the dead period ends and that could just about wrap things up with him.
***Here is the interesting part: OU currently has EJ Ndoma-Ogar, Stacey Wilkins, Marcus Alexander, and Finley Felix all signed and delivered. They are in a very good position with Danielson Ike as I mentioned above, but they are still vigorously recruiting 6’4″ 280 lb Enokk Vimahi (Kahuku, HI).
Vimahi also plans on visiting after the dead period and it is our understanding that this is not an either/or deal with Ike and Vimahi as the Sooners would take both players. Vimahi will be a tough pull as he recently visited USC and being from Hawaii, that could give them the edge in his recruitment. However, as we have all seen before, you cannot put anything past Lincoln Riley and Bedenbaugh when they put their minds to it and by all accounts, they have their minds set on closing out the OL class with both Danielson and Vimahi.
Coach Kyler Murray? | Sourced Note
– Super K
In case the little incident between Kyler Murray and Sam Ehlinger didn’t tip you off, Kyler Murray is a competitive guy. He reminds me of my little brother who I’d say was a “board flipper” when he was younger. You know the type. If they happen to be losing at Monopoly they flip the board and walk off.
I spoke with a source who tells me that Kyler Murray isn’t just content to make sure he prepares himself for this Alabama game. Apparently, he’s been meeting with the defensive backs to do extra film study in order to help further prepare them for the Alabama game.
I’m sure it will come as no surprise that Kyler Murray’s football IQ is off the charts.
He knows he can’t win this game against Alabama himself. So, it sounds like he’s doing what he can to help the defense be ready to do their part as well.
Early 2020 Recruiting Board
– Charlie S
In the ‘Drop Box’ thread, multiple Donors asked for an early look at the 2020 class.
Below I have compiled a list of some of the offers OU has sent out to this point.
This is not the full list of Sooner offers, however, it is a comprehensive view of ‘realistic’ targets along with their current commitment status and where things stand, in our opinion, with the Sooners in regards to their recruitment.
If a commit has (Undecided) or (Random School) in RED…we feel as though OU is currently a major player in their recruitment.
If their status is not in red, it does not mean that OU has no chance with them, if we felt that way they would not be on this list, it just means that the Sooners have work to do in their recruitments.
So the following recruits should give you some idea of the targets we feel that OU is currently focusing on, and how involved we fee that the Sooners are in their recruitments.
