Team Note | OLB: As many of you know, coach Stoops mentioned yesterday that he was unsure about whether Obo would be available to play this upcoming weekend.

I checked with a couple sources on what seemed to be the issue and I was told that Obo was dehydrated after the game. Probably not a huge surprise given the number of snaps.

I was also told that Kapri Doucet is taking the reps Obo would normally take so that could be an indication that he will get the start against Kansas. However, the staff typically evaluates things throughout the week so things could change by this weekend depending on how players perform in practice. – (Super K)

Team Note | RG: Last weekend, starting RG, Dru Samia was taken out of the game. Coach Stoops mentioned yesterday that Samia was not injured. It was simply a decision made by coach Bedenbaugh. I am told that Samia is back with the starting group.

Samia is obviously a fantastic player for the Sooners. However, it’s great to see coach Bedenbaugh hold even his best players accountable for their play on the field. That is how you create a fire from the top to the bottom of your depth chart. That’s how you keep your starters from getting complacent and your back-ups motivated to continue to chase playing time. And in general, it keeps the guys within your position group feeling like things are fair. And that leads to respect. – (Super K)

Tylan Wallace: Here’s a bit of a blast from the past. I chatted with 2017 WR and Oklahoma State commit, Tylan Wallace (Fort Worth, TX), last night who tells me that the Sooners have been back in contact with him.

You’ll recall that Wallace was offered and recruited by the Sooners last spring. Tylan ultimately ended up committing to Oklahoma State and many believe it’s because the Pokes offered his twin brother.

In chatting with Wallace he did not close the door on the idea of a visit to Norman. When I asked him if a visit was possible he said, “honestly, I’m not very sure”. If memory serves correctly, Wallace was offered by the Sooners before Reagor. – (Super K)
