Note on LB Greg Miclisse

Everyone heard about Florida LB Greg Miclisse receiving an Oklahoma offer many months back. At the time I didn’t feel like he was a good fit for Oklahoma. Recently, I’ve had a chance to look a little closer at his game/abilities and I still don’t feel like he is a good fit for Oklahoma in terms of his strengths, overall talent and how he’d fit into the scheme.
I decided to do a little checking because I just wasn’t seeing it and I’m going to be candid, after talking to someone I trust down in that region – I have serious doubts about whether Greg actually has an Oklahoma offer and if he does I would guess it is a “non-committable” offer. Our source told us he did not have an offer. And while sources can be wrong – the fact that this trusted source told me that he did not have an offer coupled with what I’m seeing on film makes me think that he really may not have an Oklahoma offer at all. Or again, if he has one it is “non-committable”.

I’ve got to say we have a pretty successful class of LB’s on board so far. Would like Dwight Williams up there as well…IDK what news you all have with recruiting but I would like updates! What do you all think of Curtis Bolton?
We all at Brainiacs, love Curtis Bolton. He’s a guy who has a way of getting through traffic that not all players have. He’s one of those guys who continually gets unblocked. He’s tenacious, great size for the position, and just a really good football player.
As far as Dwight goes, he’s a player we also like a lot, but from what we’re hearing, chances don’t look great for Oklahoma.
Thank you. This helps the story of my “interest” in this recruit. If Bond’s statements about OU moving to a real 3-4 are reasonably accurate, then this recruit doesn’t seem to have a place. “Interest” is a euphemism, by the way…
Interesting stuff. He had been tweeting about talking to kish an I had to wonder where he fit in at. Whats yalls take on Ishmael Murphy Richardson and Johnathon Thomas are they still in play?
We’re really high on Jonathan Thomas. I personally haven’t seen the film on Murphy-Richardson yet, but I’ll check it out and hit you back.

Jonathan Thomas is an excellent athlete. We’re going to have to wait and see about his grades at semester. We did a write up on him a few weeks back when his offer happened. I’ve seen a lot of IMR. I like him.
How do you explain Kish talking with McLisse lately? Seems odd that OU would stay in contact if they weren’t interested, no?
The only source I have that says he talked to Coach Kish is his twitter. I’ll take him at his word but even if he spoke to Coach Kish it certainly doesn’t mean he has a bona fide offer. I’m very confident he doesn’t have a bona fide offer.
