Last week, thanks to one of our twitter followers (@SteveJohns20), we came across a 2014 defensive end from Oakley California named Patrick Choudja. We watched his film and loved what we saw and could not believe the young man held 0 BCS offers. In fact last week his biggest offers were San Diego State and Wyoming.
We immediately decided to put up a brief post featuring the young man and his talents in hopes that someone might see it. Here is the post we put up last week on him: https://thefootballbrainiacs.com/?p=1289
We are pleased to say that yesterday he received an offer from Hawaii. And today 247 has reported that he received an offer from Arizona State! Only a week after we featured him he has now received his first BCS offer!
Here is the twitter exchange we had with him last week:
We know this isn’t directly related to Oklahoma football but it really makes us happy when a young man gets the recognition and respect they deserve. And we hope this makes y’all as happy as it makes us! Best of luck to him and here’s to many more offers. It may have taken a while for people to notice his talents but they are noticing!

Kudos for being a part of his recruiting and possible helping him get the attention he deserves. I’m surprised he didn’t get many looks with all of the attention towards Mixon has brought to their school…Either way the timing of your “shout out” was perfect
Thanks JD! This was part of our point in our post earlier today about “stars”. Often times it isn’t that a kid wasn’t seen by colleges. Sometimes its just that they want to hear someone else said that the kid is good. People assume the recruiting process is somehow perfect and it absolutely isn’t. As we said, it’s very very flawed.
Why won’t we throw an offer out to him?? Kid is huge and athletic
