Joe Mixon Note

You know we prefer to only bring y’all good news and so far we love the recruiting class and we like where it’s headed. But just wanted to let y’all know that we are not hearing great things for Oklahoma on the Joe Mixon front. Not saying it isn’t going to happen or there isn’t a chance. Just saying to temper your expectations. We do know that Oklahoma is a school he really likes so it’s not outside the realm of possibility. But as of right now it’s not looking great.
Fortunately Oklahoma has some young incredible, big, physical backs on campus. OU has Perine on board – man child. And the JUCO kid they’re going after De’Chavon Hayes…he is nice. We did a write up on him here: https://thefootballbrainiacs.com/?p=697
And of course there is Dimitri Flowers who is a very intriguing prospect. We’ve got a write up on him that we’ll post shortly.
We’ll let you know if anything changes on the Mixon front.

Florida State seemed to really catch his eye, and you can’t blame him for his interest there considering the upside of FSU. Also would be a good fit there since it was recently out on Twitter that Wilder said he and Freeman would be entering the draft after this year. Joe Mixon and Karlos Williams would be a formidable duo.
I really like what we have with Perine coming in though…especially if we really are trying to move towards a more physical run game with the OL talent we are recruiting. Perine and Ford are some downhill guys that could do some damage for us, and give the fans what we are so eagerly yearning for.

Perine and Ford will be a punishing one two punch in the coming years. Alex Ross is a talent as well. Can’t wait to see what we can do. Thanks for the kind words!

Carter and Pruitt are probably the most important two uncommitted recruits. They are beyond special. We’ve had long conversations with both their coaches.
Is Pruitt uncommitted? I remember you guys saying we have a good shot ..Has he visited?

Who are you hearing is out in front? Also, what do you think happened for our chances to drop?
We didn’t ask who his real leader is. We get our information from much closer sources than other folks so we have to be real careful about what we say. We can’t divulge the reason things aren’t looking good for Oklahoma. I know he likes Oklahoma but there is an issue.
Is the issue Mixon or Oklahoma? I was hoping he would help us like Clay did out west
What is the latest with Nathan starks? Is he still in the picture?
By the way recently stumbled upon this site and i love it. Enjoying the different perspectives and breakdowns of the players and the games.

Any news on if they will offer Michael Warren from Lawton?
They are probably going to wait on his academic status before offering. Another offer to look out for if Michael Warren or Nathan Staks don’t work out is Xavier Turner.
I thought that would be the situation. Is it just ACT or grades a problem as well?
