JUCO OT and Oklahoma visitor, Fahn Cooper, has committed to Ole Miss. Here is original post on Fahn Cooper from a while back: https://thefootballbrainiacs.com/?p=863
We actually aren’t surprised by this. From everything we’ve learned Fahn originally left Bowling Green because the coaching staff was too tough. Now we don’t know what that means. We weren’t there so we’re going to assume the best about Fahn and about the Bowling Green coaching staff. Not everyone takes to the same coaching style. But it was for that reason we assumed Texas Tech would be difficult to beat. Once Ole Miss came in it made it even more obvious that Fahn might end up somewhere other than OU because both Ole Miss and Tech have – well, we’ll just say they have “similar” type coaches.
As JY said, “if he couldn’t handle Bowling Green he aint gonna be able to handle OU cuz Bedenbaugh and Schmitty gon’ wear that ass out!” And that’s exactly how it needs to be done. You want to know why Oklahoma puts OLineman after OLineman in the league? Because our coaches know how to coach. They know how to prepare these young men for success. And you know what? They might not have movies made after them or pretty boy signs in the local salon but the players love them and they’ll go to battle for them everyday of the week. Listen to this years OLinemen rave about Coach Bedenbaugh. People say sports should be fun. Is it fun getting your ass handed to you every other week because your coach doesn’t care enough to get in your face once in while to make sure you’re prepared?
Best of luck to the young man. We trust Oklahoma will find some good OTs that we can mold into the next NFL 1st rounders and to be honest we don’t believe it needs to be from the JUCO ranks.

Hopefully we can get Tretola, even though he’s another JUCO guy. And maybe flip Natrell Curtis (now unlikely since Washington hired Petersen from Boise State) and/or Jovan Pruitt. We need o-line depth, hopefully we can get a couple commits in December and January.
Jovan Pruitt I’m on board with all day. I prefer Jordan Sims over Curtis myself, but back to Pruitt, he’s an absolute gym rat, who wants to be the best. That’s the kind of guy I want.
What do you think about Kenyon Frison?
We’re actually gonna profile him later this week. At first take I think he’s a little raw, and he’s got a nice brand of nasty to em. He’s a great athlete, and I like him more than Cooper. Really good feet, not the best technique, but a really strong prospect for sure.
Jy said early on tretola is a guard and it seems that’s been confirmed by some media folks
Yeah, and he could be a really good player for us in this offense under Coach B’s tutelage.
So far, not much in the way of good news from the weekend. 0 for 2 in the trenches.
Let’s hope the coaches keep pressing with these two and hopefully flip em. A big showing in Jan could work wonders.
How is ol’ Miss doing all this great recruiting out of the blue?! Facilities, meh, etc. Coach Freeze ok maybe something there, something does not jive…just my mini rant for the day….
