Week 2 is down, here comes Week 3.

There will be plenty to watch until the Sooners play at 5:00 PM on Saturday and plenty to watch after. Feel free to hang out here and discuss all the games this weekend.

Big 12 Games

The Big 12 had an up and down weekend in Week 2. The conference won 66% of their games after going 6-3 (Texas Tech did not play).

Two of the losses (Baylor losing to UTSA and Kansas losing to Central Michigan) were embarrassing for those two schools. The third loss, Iowa State losing to Iowa, wasn’t necessarily a bad loss; however, it stings for Iowa State to have had the game locked up and lost it anyway. It was a chance for another win against a Power 5 team.

With that said, the six wins had some highlights. Four of those wins were examples of pretty good teams playing not very good teams. Two, however, were strong statements for the Big 12. TCU had a very convincing victory at Arkansas. Additionally (I don’t know if you’ve heard or not), Oklahoma beat thumped Ohio State in Columbus. Both of these wins were great for the Big 12’s image nationally.

This weekend will be another chance for big statements, with the Big 12 having 5 matchups with Power 5 teams.
