Caleb and Carl Williams | Post Summit Interview

James Hale hosted Caleb Williams and his father, Carl, on his radio show on Sportstalk 1400 earlier today following their trip to Oklahoma last the weekend!
I have noted some of the highlights of the interview and included the link at the bottom as James produced a terrific interview!
*** Factors in Calebs decision to be a Sooner largely based on Coach Riley
*** Carl was very pleased and impressed by the entire Oklahoma family throughout the recruitment
*** Sooner Summit came up as Carl was speaking to Tristan Leigh’s mom, Laura. Laura mentioned she would like to see Oklahoma and then it snowballed from there with the other families.
*** Caleb on not being able to take visits, mentioned he had been to a bunch of schools already.
*** Caleb mentions he will only take one official if they are allowed…and that is to OU.
*** Carl talks about how early they started their process. Back in 7th grade. Says they used that experience of their recruiting trips to build the Sooner Summit.
*** He talks about the advantages of the Sooner Summit as opposed to school-sponsored visits. Pretty impressive.
*** Caleb says it was pretty easy to get the other guys on board to get to Norman. Mentions every one he asked tried to be there. Nobody turned him down.
*** Talks about his relationship with Tristan and his family as well as a few other guys who were there including Savion Byrd.
*** Caleb talks about how he recruits players. Mentions he does it because he wants great players to be with him.
*** Recruits through building a friendship and a bond.
*** Carl says both Savion and Tristan know how they (Carl and Caleb) feel about them wanting them to be in Norman and so do their parents.
*** Carl talks about the reaction from the parents. Mentions he had great conversations with everyone. Talking about what the future could look like at OU.
*** He mentions there was no pressure, aside from the linemen (Pretty funny)
*** Caleb mentions that he and Camar Wheaton had a good time. Expresses his hope that it goes in favor of OU.
*** He talks about his work with Jalil Farooq as well.
*** Caleb speaks about Emeka Egbuka. Calls him really smooth and talks about the effort Emeka put into getting out to Norman. Hopes to get him to town in the future, wants to push the needle towards OU.
*** Carl says he was pleased with how things went at the summit.
*** Caleb confirms that there will be no fall football for him, his conference has moved their season to the spring. He is not sure if he will play in the spring or not. He cannot enroll early.
