The Sooners officially added some much needed depth in the QB room as they secured the services of former Penn State QB Micah Bowens!
Super K mentioned this was going to happen this morning.
‘Bowens was a 3-star dual threat QB out of powerhouse, Bishop Gorman High School. Bowens held multiple FBS offers out of high school but ultimately signed with Penn State.
With Chandler Morris’ departure, the idea of the Sooners taking a transfer quarterback isn’t surprising. What was surprising is, as we mentioned in the original post on this, Micah would be choosing to walk on at OU.
I was told last night that the deal appears to be done and Micah is set to be in Norman next week to begin classes.’
Very nice addition for Oklahoma and a great landing spot for Bowens who will have the opportunity to learn under the QB whisperer known as Lincoln Riley.
