The Sooners pick up their second commit of the 2028 class as tight end Connor Arant (6’5 225) out of Bixby, Oklahoma, announces his pledge to Jason Witten and the University Of Oklahoma!
As you know, Arant has been a guy I have long pointed to as a potential ‘next commit’ for the Sooners and Jason Witten closed the deal and adds a very talented prospect to the 2028 class.
On the field, Arant is a physical, versatile tight end with strong hands and a big frame that makes him a legitimate red-zone matchup. He also contributes as a blocker and plays defensive end, where his physicality and pass-rush ability stand out. He had six TD catches on just seven receptions for 129 yards during Bixby’s 2025 state-title run.
