Boom News! | ’27 DT Deven Robertson Commits to Oklahoma!
Posted on: January 10, 2026
The Sooners class of 2027 keeps on rolling as they pick up another huge addition to the class as defensive tackle Deven Robertson has announced his intentions to commit to the University of Oklahoma!
Robertson is a powerful interior defensive line prospect in the 2026 class who projects as a true defensive tackle at the college level. A standout from Oak Grove High School in Mississippi, Robertson brings a college-ready frame at around 6’3 310, with the strength to anchor against the run and the quickness to generate push inside. He shows good initial burst off the ball, plays with strong leverage, and consistently occupies blockers, making life easier for linebackers behind him.
Robertson has drawn national attention as a high-upside interior presence, with the potential to rise as he continues to develop his technique and conditioning. He has picked up offers from several Power Four programs and earned recognition as a Navy All-American, highlighting his standing among the top defensive line prospects in his class.
He has committed to Oklahoma, giving the Sooners a physical, space-eating defensive tackle to build around up front. Robertson fits well in Oklahoma’s defensive system as a player who can control the interior, stop the run, and develop into a reliable presence in the middle of the defensive line at the collegiate level.
This is one of the guys you can pencil in to be a solid foundational piece for 4 years.
