Boom News! | ’26 WR Xavier Okwufulueze Commits to Oklahoma!

The Sooners pick up a commit from 2026 in-state wide receiver Xavier Okwufulueze, out of Owasso, Oklahoma (Rejoice Christian).
He visited Norman for the opening game of the season and picked up his offer yesterday. Needless to say, he wasted no time in pledging to his dream school.
Standing at 6’5″ and around 195 lbs, Xavier brings a rare combination of height and athleticism to the receiver position. His height gives him a large catch radius, especially good when it comes to contested catch situations and high-pointing the ball.
Okwufulueze has excelled on both sides of the ball as a wide receiver and cornerback, with notable contributions on special teams, too. His Multi-sport background includes basketball and even track in middle school, which shows a high level of overall athleticism, which is always a positive.
As a junior in 2024, Xavier hauled in 46 receptions for 901 yards and 9 touchdowns, averaging 19.6 yards per catch.
He chose the Sooners over around a dozen or so offers, including offers from TCU, Arkansas, Utah, and OkState.
