Boom News! | ’25 Safety Omarion Robinson Commits to Oklahoma!

The Sooners add some late Independence Day fireworks of their own as ’25 safety Omarion Robinson has announced his verbal pledge to Oklahoma!

Robinson (6’0 175) out of Little Rock, Arkansas (Parkview Magnet) chose the Sooners over Oregon, Georgia, LSU, and Arkansas.

He holds more than two dozen offers in total and he was a priority for Coach Brandon Hall and the Sooners throughout the entire cycle. The Sooners offered Robinson way back in January of ’23 and they stayed at or near the top throughout his process.

Robinson joins fellow Arkansan Marcus Wimberly in the Sooners safety class and his addition will likely close out defensive back recruiting for the Sooners in the ’25 cycle.

Robinson is known for his versatility and ability to contribute in multiple phases of the game. He has experience playing safety, cornerback, wide receiver, and even some time as a quarterback. He is particularly noted for his skills in kick returns, punt returns, and as a defensive back. At the next level, it is expected that Robinson will play safety while also adding his special teams abilities to the squad.

During his junior season, Robinson had 42 tackles, 10 pass breakups, two interceptions, and two fumble recoveries. On offense, he had 16 catches for 465 yards and three touchdowns, and 15 carries for 119 yards and three touchdowns. On special teams, he had 15 kickoff returns for 569 yards (37.9 yards per return) and four touchdowns.

Really nice addition to the ’25 class as Coach Hall managed to pull in one of his priority targets!
